Played Saturday, 11/1. Teed off at 7:37 and played in 4 1/2 hours. The fairways and rough are still not where they need to be--lots of thin/bare patches and areas that should be marked as ground under repair. Greens were in good shape and rolled well. Not worth full price or a long drive but it's close to home and I got a discount on Click4teetimes so no complaints.

Played here for the first time on Sunday in a golf tournament. Course was in very good condition and the greens were nice--not too fast but plenty of break and undulations. Very hilly course with multiple elevated tee shots. Several blind shots and false fronts. Lots of slopes to funnel the ball to one side or another and several that direct the ball into the water. #8 and #9 are good holes. Was told they will be removing four holes after Memorial Day--you'll play 14 holes and replay 4 holes to make it 18--and the rate will drop drastically as a result until they get the four replacement holes completed.

Challenging but fun. Played Sat. 5/6 in the middle of the day. Greens are firm--not real fast, but lots of bounce. Lots of OB on this course--many holes where a golf ball can be lost. Well maintained except for a couple of bunkers. Next time I play I'll leave the driver in the bag a little more often--several holes have some bottlenecks or strategically placed bunkers that are best avoided. Very pretty and the houses are far enough away on most holes that they aren't an issue. Staff was great, nice range and putting green. I could definitely see myself heading back here again.

Played after work on Fri. 5/5. I had only been here once before over a year ago so I only vaguely remembered its previous setup. I do remember paying a lot less for my late (4:15pm) round last time out--$45 is a bit steep for what could be a super twilight round. The course was in excellent shape. The rough wasn't real tall but was very thick and hard to play out of. The bunkers were full of sand and in good condition. The greens were softer than I expected--they held every shot, even the long iron I hit on the long par 3 on the back side. I lucked out and had little wind--rare in these parts! There were few people on the course, so I finished my round before the sun set. GPS on the carts is a bonus. I played from the blacks and the course was very fair.

Played early on Fri. the 24th. They have switched the front/back nines since I last played. The 'new' front 9 has some holes that are quite unforgiving to the wayward tee shot. The course was in very good shape and the greens were nice as well. Early in the morning the pace was excellent.

Played this 18 after playing the Palms as part of the free replay/lunch package. This was a dissapointment after playing the Palms. Besides the greens being sandy/shaggy from being punched earlier in the week, there were a few other issues. Several sand traps were in horrible condition. They aren't set up to handle water correctly. Some still had water in them at 2 pm! Others looked like dry river beds and were hard as concrete. This course is longer and has more holes into the wind than the Palms. The long par 3 (#8) is difficult--how it is handicap #11 I'll never know. The problems on this course seemed to be centered on the newer 9 holes that were added when the course went from 27 to 36. They need to go back and correct their mistakes to get the course on par with the Palms.

Played the home course with my wife yesterday (Sunday). Started at 9:40 and played as a twosome the entire round. Very enjoyable pace--only waited on hole #2 for a couple minutes. The greens rolled really nicely--too bad they are punching them today and tomorrow. I believe hole #11 had some serious damage/ground under repair, but the rest of the course was in fair to good condition. The play all day package with lunch included is a great deal (see their website), although I would wait a couple weeks until the greens have a chance to come back. Played a 2nd round on Lakes and the greens were still sandy and shaggy--totally different putting conditions!

Played on Thurs 6/9. The place was empty! I played by myself starting at 7:45am. The patchwork quilt fairways was a new look for me--there must be 3 or 4 different kinds of grass. I read that in someone else's review and thought they meant mixed together. The place looks like they bought whatever sod was on sale at Lowe's or Home Depot and put it where it needed to go. The sand traps were well groomed but a bit wet. Lots of divots in the fairways and on some of the greens. The layout is challenging, even without the mid-day wind. For a discounted rate it is fine--better than playing a crowded muni--but the course could be so much more! There is a lot of new housing being built around the courses, so it will be interesting to see if the courses will be brought up to the level they are supposed to be at once the houses are up and sold.

Played yesterday afternoon at 4:30 and was able to finish in less than 3 hours. The greens are still showing signs of being punched, but weren't too bad. They should be great in a week or so. The course itself was in good condition, except for some of the sand traps were like hard pan. Be wary, it gets VERY windy in the afternoons.

Visited Grandma and played here afterward on 4/20. Walked on at 4:15pm and managed to finish all 18 by 7:45 thanks to a fast front 9. Straightforward and flat. Greens were in good condition--they hold most shots and roll pretty good. Not very difficult by any means. Fairways are wide and flat. Think driving range with trees and greens. No complaints.

Played Sunday 5/1 for the first time. Inexpensive at $50. This course has a lot of tight holes! Fairways were in better condition on the front than the back. Greens were bumpy and erratic. Overall conditions were about a 5 or 6 out of 10.
