I have stayed away from this track for years because it had be so under maintained, it was just terrible. I had played some of my first rounds of golf there and love the history of the place, but due to the condition it was in I quit going there. Boy was I suprized!!! After reading the rewiews on Greenskeeper I decided to try it again. Granted it still has a ways to go, but it is in very good shape and the staff are excellent and super friendly right down to bringing us cold towels after our round, it was 103 Friday when we played. I will most certainly be back to play there again. It is not the longest track or that tuff, but it is a fun layout and will test any who play there. The greens are med. to fast and a little soft but in great shape. With time the fairways and tough will be in great shape if they continue to put as much effort into them as they have the last couple of years.

Very enjoyable track and pace of play was good. They could mow the tee boxes alittle tighter as they were quite spongy, but a good track none the less and the green fees are excellent, well worth the drive from OC.

Was suprised today at what good shape this track is in. Haven't played there for years due to the questionable conditions of the past. Tee boxs, fairway and greens ingreat shape as was the rough. My only complaint would be the pace of play which was five plus hours. The front nine was a normal two hours, but on the back I guess we caught up with the crowd. All in all will return and enjoyed the day.

This has got to be one of the best bargans in OC. Great greens and a challenging layout. Yes, it is short, but a test and FUN. At times play can be slow, but today played in four hours and fifteen mins. Not bad for a Friday if you ask me and the staff is great, especially Wendy the cart gal.

This is a very enjoyable track well worth the drive and green fees, which are reasonable considering the quality and playability of this outstanding course. It is fun, a challenge and quit simply a beauty. Rate of play was great---4 to 41/2 hrs.---We played it twice, once on a Sunday and followed up on Tuesday and we were virtually alone on both days. Course staff very friendly and helpful and they have great brats and dogs if ya get hungry---the onion rings were excellent according to my son in law. I would recommend this course to anyone visiting the Williams/Grand Canyon area and I will play it again whenever I get near enough to do so.

It's not that this is a bad course, I just don't know how it keeps getting such good reviews and billed as "best deal in Orange County". The quality of the course doesn't fit the green fees as there are multiple bare and thin areas throughout the track, pace of play is slow and often many of the players are rude. If they would channel some of their high green fees into maintenance it could be the course they bill it as---if not, just put reasonable green fees into effect. It appears to me that the green fees are just to keep the average golfer away from an otherwise mediocre track.
