choppo talks like a "big man", but he IS that deep, it makes me sick...But like they say "Drive for show, putt for dough". Oak Valley is a great test we played on 12/17 in the wind and came back the next week on Monday 12/23...no wind...until we got on the 1st tee and then it blew all day AGAIN!!! No mercy from the elements when you play here in the winter, I guess.
The course is hard enough from the tips...add a 25 mph wind that comes from two or three directions at the same time and fogettaboutit.

MY GOD!! WHAT A WIND!! The normally prevailing on s h@re wind was turned around 180 degrees because of the Santa Anas today 35+ at times. 3,4,5,6, all into the teeth of the wind. Great fun though playing the down wind holes, and the par 3, No. 14 island green was a downwind 6 iron instead of a 3I or 5W into the wind like usual. The course is in great shape as are the greens. VERY FAST, VERY TREACHEROUS!! Good time had by all, but quite an ordeal with the weather conditions today.
