Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii! The staff were extremely friendly and appreciated you spending and playing at their course...A little of a trip for my buddy from Auburn and I being from Placerville...Turned out to be very warm day around 96 degrees, and this course generally has a breeze but not today...Speed of round was about normal...Not having to wait for any other foursomes ahead of us...Plan to play about every 2-3 weeks....
Extremely challenging course..The staff was relly helpful and went out of their way to make you welcome....I feel TOO MANY GOLFERS SEEM TO THINK THEY HAVE A CADDY WITH THEM AND THEY DON"T HAVE TO PICK UP THEIR DIVOTS!!!! A FEW DON"T EVEN FIX THEIR DIVOT ON THE GREENS......they leave them to be done by someone else....Best course available for the money.....Wouldn't go anywhere else....Have about 5 different tee boxes for whatever handicap player you might be....The players are friendly and at times have to wait....some players think they are pros and seem to think they can take their time and that causes others to wait....
They are the friendliest and most courteous of people ...The cart people go out of their way to greet you and they even brought my buddies golf shoes out to him after his daughter brought them to the course after he forgot to place them back in his vehicle...The Starters are about the best people you would ever meet and most friendly...Can't say enough good things about the DarkHorse staff and the course is in fabulous condition
I would highly recommend it to ALL golfers..... Very friendly and very courteous, bring carts to parking lot to pick you up with brand new Carts with GPS drains fairly good but has a few areas that becomes very soggy....Cart path only because of the past rains... Many tee Box Choices (5) depending on your handicap .
We had a tee time of 6:04 a.m. and had played the front nine with nobody behind us for at least 4 holes when we were playing our second shot at the tenth hole when another group of players who happen to work at this course were now pushing us and it just seemed like I was having to rush my game....as I felt it... I had shot a 48 on the front nine and was hoping for another 45-50 back nine.... We finished at about 10:00 a.m.and it was already starting to warm up...Other than that we all had a good time and the greens were a little pitted from other golfers who some how don't feel they need to fix their ball marks on the greens ...
