Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii! This is a great course to walk on a nice day with 3 clubs in your hand and a couple of balls. Nothing difficult about it, it is and exec course, but it will help your short game and will not take anywhere near 4 or 5 hours. You can play on short notice for about the price of a large bucket
this course could not be more fun to play.. We played mid morning during the week, so take that into account while reading this review. For $45, I drive 35 miles and have a smile on my face. The course is gorgeous, some of the cart paths have switch backs because of some drastic altitude changes, and you will not walk this course, period. Some of the drives batween greens and tees must be almost a half a mile. But because of this, you rarely see other golfers. (In my experience) If this course was in mission viejo, it would probably be in the $150 range. You better have your tee shots straight and play it smart or you will need a lot of balls.
Has potential... That is the best thing I can say for it. There is no driving range, to it takes about five or six holes to warm up. You get to start cold on a beautiful and difficult hole. And then you get to play it again because they are bulldozing a few holes... A few greens had back hoes and crews working five feet off the green.. If you are like me and need at least a small bucket to warm up and or a chipping green then you will hate this course almost as much as I do. What kind of a golf course sells its driving range to make way for CONDOS???
This is a great old time course. No, it is not in the best of shape, but the playability of the course is almost unaffected. For the money, this course is the diamond in the rough. If you want a pretty course, go up to arroyo trabuco and pay out the nose to play a mediocre course. Shorecliffs will never change, I have been playing there for many years and the clubhouse still has the same paint job. One interesting note, maybe once or twice a year I play there and the greens are PERFECT.... I don't know why or how, but they could not be in any better shape
This course is not worth playing... The green fees are out of control, if you can hit a drive low and 200 yards, it will end up porbably about 300. The fairways all slope on both sides toward the middle. This course will make you feel great when you look on your scorecard, but when your hadicap drops quickly, you will be upset when you go to a real golf course and your handicap makes you lose a lot of money
