Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Played this course in the AM on June 5th. This is a beautiful and fun track. I received a warm welcome from the men in the pro shop who gave me some tips about the course and got me checked in. I had a little time to warm up before teeing off so went to the practice area. There is a nice driving range, 3 practice greens you can chip to, a sand bunker to hit out of and a putting green. Really nice area to work on your game.
My buddy and I teed off and never caught up to anyone until hole 15. Perfect! Tee boxes were level and in good shape. Fairways were green and cut evenly. The rough has been cut back so not too hard to find your ball. This course is noted for its greens and it did not disappoint. As the sign outside the proshop says - " smooth and fast ". Definitely take some time on the putting green before playing to get used to the speed or you will be 3 putting. POP was 3.5 hrs. Sweet!!! It had been 20 years since I was here last and can't wait to come back again - soon!

Read earlier reviews about improved conditions and pace of play so talked my buddies into trying it again. Unfortunately same old Los Verdes. Teed off early weekday afternoon. $40, all fivesomes, no cart girl, no marshall, 6hrs to finish. Hit and wait all the way around. We won't be back.
Played 5/2/11. Supposedly aerated 4/11 but they were sanding and aerating today. Totally sucked. 4 holes had flags stuck in middle of fairway 50 yards from green. Try putting in the fairway. The course should be more honest both here on greenskeeper and on golfnow with what is actually happening on the course. We definitely would have played somewhere else. Give it until 6/1/11 at the earliest.
Played Sunday March 14. Had an 11:15 tee time and teed off at 11:30. Our foursome got around in 4.5 hours. Everyone kept moving at a nice pace and we had no long delays. Course in good shape and greens were a little fast. This was a fun track to play and for $42 on a weekend including cart it is a great price. I'll definitely be back.
ps - not a bird in sight as complained about by previous poster.

Played 3/2/08. Greens in good shape. Fairways totally bombed out. They should close this course down for two months to let fairways come back -
Played 7/15/07. Fairways and tee boxes excellent. Greens pretty bombed out by people who don't fix ball marks and starting to turn brown in spots. Don't plan on eating at the turn - you don't really go by clubhouse - there is a cart girl. My pet peeve is some holes with no ball washer- how hard can it be to have a washer on each hole. My girlfriend caddies for me and she gets tired of licking my balls every other hole.
but I'll be back - fun track.

Played this course on 3/30/07. Course was in great shape and the greens are as good as they say. Had a 2:00 twilight time for $79 and got all 18 in no problem. Staff was great. I highly recommend this course. It is a little tight and a lot of balls end up in the rocky desert bordering the holes but this course allows you to hit out of the desert areas - so definitely bring an old 5 iron to hit out or you will tear up the bottom of your good clubs on the rocks. Lots of fun and look forward to playing again.
Played on 11/10 with 3 other frinds for the first time. Fairways and greens in great shape. Greens very fast - which I like- but some cups were positioned in middle of slope so either sink it or watch it roll 10-15 feet past. I hate that a good lag putt that should stop within a foot keeps rolling way past because of a ridiculous hole placement. Also for $94 you would expect GPS on carts - I play $40 courses that have GPS. Too much time wasted hunting for sprinkler heads and guessing yardages when you are off the fairway.
Played Sunday 4/10 - couldn't believe my buddy got a 9:00 tee time - should have known something was up. Greens were aerated recently - typical sand and holes - not good. Fairways are bombed out - no grass and lots of divots. Par 3 tee boxes are totally wasted. No one fills in divots. Sand traps are nice. People were nice but I won't be back until course gets in better shape.
Played Sunday11/20. Temp 80 degrees so greens were actually pretty fast. Tee boxes ok and fairways in typical public course shape - pretty bare in some spots in fairway. For $40 a good deal
Fun to play but always to slow. Hard to finish unless you tee off 6hrs. before sundown.
