shadow lakes & deer ridge were managed by troon golf and were finally kept courses not any more
shadow lakes was dry to the bone. the driving range was sand mixed with a little grass and range balls with almost no dimples.
greens were bumpy i have played this course a number of times but never in conditions like this not worth the drive from fremont

golf course was shut down for 2 years.worth the $60. to play
not a grip & rip course lots of lay ups with trouble... fun to play

a total fun track. from start to finnish.
the break on the greens is so suttle so hard to get bird. par is a good score as always!
so many tee shots are risk reward gamble (john daly)
one more thing everything in the pro shop is tax free 9.75% were i come from...

greens are poor. poa everywhere
dead spots all around played on 4-19-08 course was dry and hard. one of the most scenic natural settings in the bay area
it's just sad the golf is compromised by upkeep

great overall condition
but the greens in the afternoon get a mind of thire own
a little bumpy.

short course (blue tees) hit a lot of wedges into greens. so divots and ball marks a problem.
an old fart named charile was a starter/marshal at poppy ridge now at callippe thinks he owns the place.
played with two brothers one was 69 years old the other 63years old. charily was on there butt about being 10 min. behind who cares...

a fun fair course
but get rid of the fiscue grass it just slowes down play...

replaceing the greens.have done 5 so far. don't play this course for 2 years untill they are done with the greens.
then thay can start on tee boxes,fairways
