I know some people will snicker, but I really enjoy playing this course. It's just FUN! While there are a number of rather "indifferent" holes, there are just a lot of enjoyable holes to play on this short course. Greens were reasonably quick and true. Fairways are mostly good, with a few areas needing attention.

Staff is always friendly and at least for seniors, the price is right. Despite being busy, able to get out early and had no issues with pace of play. Fortunately did not encounter any delays with back nine play. The only downside for me playing here is that it takes a long time for me to get here from the OC.

Played this morning. 2.5 H POP. Greens are in great shape. They are clean, chip/putt great and putt fast. Fairways have good coverage, good roll and good lies. Bunkers are clean and very playable. Little to no rough at all. Tee boxes are all level, clean and playable. Customer service is excellent at all levels (thanks Pete and Michelle and Birdies staff).

Went out yesterday at 3 PM and finished 18 in 2 hours. Course was empty? Tee boxes are fine, playable and no issues. Fairways have good coverage, roll out and lies. Bunkers appear fine and playable/clean. Virtually no rough to speak of. Greens are firm, chip/putt great and have good speed. Customer service excellent.

Played this morning in a nice 3 H POP. Overall the course is in good condition. Tee boxes were all clean and playable; fairways had some firmness (though you will find some muddy areas) and provided good lies (again some with mud) and decent roll; bunkers were all fine and playable; no rough to speak of, other than out of bound areas; greens were in great shape and chipped/putted great and with good speed. Customer service excellent at all levels.

Played today in a POP of 3 H. Course is in typical S CA winter conditions, with both green and brown fairways. Though the fairways are nice, with the exception of a few muddy areas. Tee boxes are all fine. Bunkers are playable. No rough to speak of. Greens are in very nice shape. They are chipping/putting just fine and have a nice speed to them (especially down hill). Customer service was excellent (thanks to Pete and the ladies in Birdies).

Played yesterday in a POP 2.5 H. Course is in good shape, other than a few tee boxes. Found no issues with fairways; no trap issues; tee boxes a mixed bag, as they were chewed up (not all) and looked like they did not endure aeration well? Greens are very good (all of them). Great customer service.

Played today in 3 hours. Course was very wet on the front 9 (fairways) so very little roll and wet lies (dried out nicely on the back). Tee boxes were all fine; bunkers were damp from overnight dew/wa... Continue »

Tee boxes were all fine; bunkers were damp from overnight dew/water (also played better on the back); what little rough there was (around the greens) posed little/no issues. Greens were just terrific and very fast when above the hole. Customer service excellent at all levels.

Went out today, Sunday 11/26 sometime around 11:00 am. To put it very briefly and consistent with recent reviews, course is in good shape all around. Fairways generally offered good lies with some occasional, thinner exceptions. There were bare, hard patches scattered about, but they were pretty consistently marked as GUR, so they weren't an issue. Bunkers were well groomed and firm-ish, while the greens were moderately quick and in nice shape. The various residual aspects of maintenance seem to have been cleared up and everything is mown and where it's supposed to be. Pace was sluggish but consistent and probably approaching 5 hrs. All in all, an enjoyable day on the course.

Played today prior to 2 tournaments. Got out early and played in 2.5 H. I will address the tees as previous review was not fond of them, as well as myself from a previous review. Today they had all been mowed and tee markers back in proper places. All of the tees appeared good today. Greens were mowed and putted very well. Fairways mowed and provided good lies and roll all round. Bunkers were all cleaned by maintenance this AM as well. Customer service is always excellent and the Birdies restaurant is a great place to grab breakfast/lunch, as full menu available all day.
