Played twilight on 4-21. The course is in very good condition; the greens were a little slower than usual due to the rainstorm on Friday. Due to the lack of rain this year, the fairways are pretty hard and fast, so if you've never played here, be prepared for some run - especially if you take some risky lines off the tee. The first time I played here, I basically hated it. Of course, I didn't know where to hit the ball, and the first generation GPS system they had was fairly worthless. Now, after having played here many more times, and with the help of a top notch GPS system, I really like this course a lot. There aren't any cheap holes, and the hole variety is really good. A few blind shots, but not too many to annoy you, and picking the right line off the tee always is an interesting challenge. With all the forced carries, wind and sizeable greens (which make for a lot of interesting pin locations), this course requires fades, draws, punches (when the wind is up) and anything else you have. If you're looking for a course where you can run the ball up to the green though, this is not the course for you.

Played this course on April 12th, with intense winds and a chill in the air complicating this already tough and narrow course. The conditions were very fierce, and in windy conditions, the tee shots are barely even fare. On the majority of the par 4s and 5s, if you stray just a little bit right or left, your ball is gone. The key to scoring well on this course is to keep your tee ball accurate. The course itself is in great shape; the greens might be a touch brown in areas, but they roll true and it was a real pleasure to hit irons into them and have the ball stick. Like someone mentioned before, the pin placements get a little ridiculous at times. When the greens are enormous, there's no need to place a pin two steps from the rough. Sandtraps were on the fluffy side. This is a very scenic course, and the design team did a terrific job turning this dry riverbed into the challenging course it is today. Definitely worth the twilight rate, and possibly the weekday rate, but not at all worth $100 a round. Bring a couple extra sleeves when you come to this course; you'll be losing a few balls, even if you hit some pretty decent drives, which is frustrating.

The problem is getting to the driving range from the clubhouse and finding anyone that works there that isn't a kid. I have been going there for over 3 years and still, NO CLUBHOUSE! My foursome plays there a lot and we are kinda getting tired of paying the rate without any clubhouse, grill room, showers, etc. These greens must be what it is like on the PGA Tour! They are so fast and true, I might need to take a putting lesson. Their GPS system seems to be right on and the rangers are helpful.

By the way, it appears that the greens were aerated with a small tine aerator and lightly sanded. It really did not affect the roll and should grow in pretty quickly.

I played here on Wednesday, 3/21/07. Course was in great shape from tee to green. Nicely mowed fairways, short rough, smooth greens and good quality sand in bunkers. Course personnel were friendly and helpful. Looking for lost balls is discouraged here as the course is situated in a natural area. All of your golf shots here are to fairly tight targets, so accuracy is important.

Played this challenging course for the first time in a couple of months and realized I had missed it. We got the round finished in 4 hours even, but we had some waits on some holes.
We were a little miffed when THREE (not one or two) marshalls descended on us over only two holes and tried to push our pace of play when we had people waiting in front of us and were playing ready golf. The "bum rush" cost me at least a stroke when I hurried a 4-iron on my second shot on a par five with the marshall having followed us down the fairway after we hit our tee shots. I just didn't feel comfortable and I hacked it about 150 yards down the fairway instead of my usual 185.
I was out with my regular group and we usually play about twice a week and get our rounds in fairly quickly-so it's not like we are the type of people that need close supervision. You would think the marshalls would have noted that after we all hit our tee shots in to the fairway and got right out there to hit our second shots.
maybe they were just under some pressure, I don't know because I have never encountered that there before and I have played there quite few times.
Anyway, the course is in its usual great shape and I would recommend a round there to someone anytime!
