Had a rare day off from my new job and went to play my home track. I know it can be pretty busy here weekday mid morning but had to capitalize on the free off time. Showed up to 3 groups waiting on the first tee, but as a single the starter got me out ($16 walking) with the second group up. My group ended up being 4 older ladies (pimp if I was 70) that I have played with before. So with a group of elderly gents in front of us, lets just say I got to hit a bunch of short irons which is cool because I need to work on them. The course is great shape right now and the greens are as about as good as they get here. Rough was cut to a fair length. Weather was hot for the so. bay area. I'd say about high 80's so shade was key. Overall the round was kinda slow but I have played this course this way before. Normally it's driver, metal, wedge, but on a day like this its played more like metal, iron, iron, wedge. A little different but still fun. This is a city course and the seniors are in effect. I would recommend this track to anyone looking to get in 9 on a regulation length (3155 yds. 34.5/115-par 36) in 3ish hrs or less.

Harbor has come back in very good form from an uneven winter and Spring season. Both the Greens and fairways are, for the most part in very good, shape. The rough has been cut and is much more even than it was. In my view, if your are looking for a very good 9 hole course, you cannot do any better in the LA area.

If you ever need a quick golf fix like I did yesterday, Harbor Park always fits the bill. It's a traditional golf course, only 9 holes. Greens felt soft BUT they did not hold shots. You could throw up the ball and you would see your ball release with a high bounce and roll quite a ways. Best way to describe the greens is rubbery -- lots of bounce but felt soft when you walked on it. Balls rolled ok on the greens. It was also bouncy with medium speed. Fairways are green/lush. Tee boxes lush too. Pace of play was quick (finished in 2 hours/9 holes). Nice day out .. not a bad way to finish things.

This Course, for all the heavy play it gets, is in excellent shape. The greens were slated for aeration on October 18th, but they are in such good shape that it was decided that this procedure was not needed. The Tee boxes for the most part were in very good shape. The fairway were for the most part Lush. Customer service was very good

LOL.. I didnt even know this course was in here... I went here because it's down the street and there twilight rate is $10 ON FRIDAY, and I wanted to pound the ball after watching the rained out Ryder Cup. Boy was I in for one.... Started off good walked up to the starter and got right out... straight to the tee box. Me and one guy got out, and thought hey were gonna get thru this quick.. LOL Boy I didnt know what was slower, the green's or the pace of play. We caught up to 2 foursomes on one tee box and we ended up being a 5 some by the fourth hole. Mind you this is a 9 hole course. The course is all Kikuya grass... tee box fairway, rough and green.. WILD!!!!!!!! 3+ hours later and never going back. Why do I do that to myself?? I knew it was going to happen. LOL.. It reminded me again why I drive out of city to play. Practice center next time I feel like pounding the ball.

This was the first long 9hole course i've played, it had a nice mix of 2 par 5's 5 par 4's and 2 par 3's. The fareways were very distinct and had proper distance markers to help gauge your shots. It was fairly wide open and forgiving, i didn't hit any bunkers but they were placed well. This is a great course if you want to hit a driver but dont want to spend the big money to go through 18, and for only 9 holes it was a great chance to work all aspects of the game. would def recommend this course.

Played Harbor Today. They have redone the Tee boxes and they are in very good condition. The greens, for the most part have come back in good condition. They have recently re sanded the first three greens and the should be Ok within a week or so. Pace of play was less the two and half hours - which is very good for a Saturday. Overall, a very good experience.

We played on 8/8 with an afternoon tee time. We were able to finish 9 holes in about 2 1/2 hours, which isn't bad. The fairways were a little dry, bare in spots and the ground was hard. I noticed on some of your shots that you get some extra bounces. The fairways here are wide, so you can grip it and rip it on some holes (unlike narrow Roosevelt).

The greens were in okay condition. Tho' I noticed when I'm putting that the balls did tend to bounce a bit. It's a nice layout for 9 holes. We like playing here when the weather is too hot in the SFV.
