Played today - course was in good shape, although I have seen it better. Fairways were being mowed, so there was some clippings on them, but ball ran decent. Greens were mix of receptive/firm. Bunkers were OK but not soft sand. Played with the members as a guest, regular Tuesday outing, so it was enjoyable. Customer service is always great. One exception, 2 of our 4some had a cart problem on 17th tee, called for a replacement cart. we teed off, had the 2 elder gentlemen use our cart, me and my buddy walked to 17th green, teed off on 18, called for cart again. Finished the hole, they assured us someone coming. Took them over 20 min to finally pick them up. Only time we have had this experience. All in all still a good round.

Played "The Babe" on Wednesday 10/14. 10:40 tee time for $49, a very good rate for this course. POP 4.5 hrs. This course is always a challenge as there are a lot of tight tee shots. Accuracy is a must to score well here! I've played here many times and I was disappointed with how soft the course was this time. No drought here! It seemed over watered. Short approach shots would plug and if you try to bump and run a short pitch it would bump and stay. The greens were soft and slow as well so you wouldn't get any roll out or bounce when you hit them and putts had to be struck firmly. The bunkers were in great shape, the tee boxes were good as well. I'll play here again but I hope they firm it up.

Men's club outing today (Sat), 8am shotgun, PoP about 4.5 hrs. The greens on the Babe are in great shape, no complaints, rolling medium speed. Fairways have some bare areas, should be marked GUR but they aren't, but had good lies all day. Rough very spotty, beware.

In a couple greenside bunkers, good sand. Great club sandwich at Red's after the round. Good deals exist, just call the pro shop.

On the Babe for the August Guest Day, Friday 1PM shotgun for $85 included balls, cart with very accurate GPS, water/ice in ice chest, great after round all-you-can-eat buffet, prizes, and raffle (open to the public every month). PoP around 4:15, really, we were the first group to finish. Unfortunately, the Babe is suffering the doldrums of summer and there are many browned out areas in the fairways and tee boxes, so some thin lies are out there. Playing in the PM, damp fairways were not an issue as can be in the AM during a water day. Was in two bunkers: great sand but somewhat thin in the bottoms, best of all I didn't see in rocks in them :-) Greens were still very nice, some pitch marks but generally rolling true at medium speed. Reduced green fees exist, still worth playing, just not as nice as Spring conditions. Suggestion: if the fairways are damp, please don't screw it up even more by 'taking huge, muddy divots with your practice swings' ... and driving your cart through the low areas. Time to tread lightly.

Played Friday July 31st at 7:10 POP was good at 4:15. no one in front of us and no one pushing us from behind, nice and relaxed. Course is in real good shape. I agree the fairways are a little wet, Makes the course play longer. The green were very soft, Had to repair big ball marks. Greens rolled really well. All 4 us us kept reading more break in them than they were giving. Luckily I did adjust, ended up with 29 putts so not bad. Was only in 1 trap and it was hard, don't know if that was the way the rest of them were. This is the 4th time playing the blues and my first time below 100 shot 95 and was happy with that after taking an 8 on the 1st hole.

Unfortunately, I have to disagree with some of the recent reviews. I played the Babe on the afternoon of 7-2-15, and I was shocked by the extreme softness of the fairways. I took huge, muddy divots on many practice swings -- something I hardly ever do. I had to break my normal swing routine to wipe off the big chunk of mud stuck on my club face, and this didn't help my confidence at all. I also was not impressed with the look of the greens. I suppose they rolled ok but they didn't look very healthy or green. Anyway, I hadn't played the Babe in over a year, and I now know that I have no need to go back for a long time.

Played at noon 5/25. Course in good shape from teebox, bunkers, fairways and greens. Pace of play was good, no one in front but we had groups waiting behind us. Can't wait to get back.

It's been a while since I have played here and I am wondering why it took me so long. Played here as a part of the Sandtrap.com outing. Thanks boys for having me. Greens in really nice shape. Great conditions, firm, and not too difficult just had to be confident with your direction and pace. Greens were firm, ran true, and for the most part fair. Some of those huge swales were interesting but for the most part it was fun putting here. Fairways lush and very green, not a bare spot anywhere. Rough was thick and penalizing. Sand in bunkers were white sandy beaches. Tee boxes were a little uneven but playable.

Played here Sunday so was expecting pace to be slow. Far from it. It was fast and we did not see a group in front of us the whole round. Not bad for a $79 round; included cart + warm up balls. It certainly beat the price they were asking at the starter (I think I heard them say $149).

Course conditions I would say rival any higher priced daily fee course. Price I paid was worth the money spent. You won't regret forking over the dinero. You may however wish you played a lot better. My game left me that day and I will return soon to take advantage of the golf conditions to exact my revenge.

Mileage will vary but the course is definitely in the best condition at present. My advice, play here. Just find an excuse and you will be rewarded.

Played on Friday, May 15. Called a week earlier and was told they had a morning tournament and earliest tee available was 11:30, which we took. Since I play almost all my rounds in the desert, I looked forward to playing on a tree line course and I absolutely loved the Babe, with a few exceptions. We arrived around 11 and couldn't find the pro shop. No signs. No employees. Finally after walking around for 15 minutes, we finally found it. Easy check in, given a key to a cart and told to just go to the 1st tee. Luckily there was someone to straighten out the cart, since the number they told us to take was gone, and point us in the right direction since there are no signs anywhere. The 1st tee was packed with tournament players as well as the public starting times. It was "get in where you fit in" and off we went. A bit over 5 hours later, we finished. Brutally slow, but I expected it because of the tournament and we were a 2some stuck between the groups. I thought the conditions were great. It had rained for 2 days prior, and finally stopped around hole 3. Cart path only the whole day, no warning at check in, just the GPS screen flashing and the cart losing power. Fairways were lush, but very wet (of course). Rough was a just about 2 inches, and not too difficult. Bunker sand was wet and heavy. Greens were fantastic. Smooth and medium speed. I loved this course. I didn't find it as narrow as I expected from the reviews. Nice variety of holes and scenery. I couldn't read the greens at all and never knew where I was on the property. My only complaints: No signs (anywhere) telling you where to go (the area where 13 and 17 tee off in the same area) or as warnings (almost put drives into earholes of carts cutting in front of tee box on 10 and 16); and no starter on 1. A fair warning, if you are anywhere on holes 4-8, just curl into a ball if you hear "Fore," they could be coming from anywhere.
