Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii! The General is in its pre-spring glory, the greens are as good as ever fast and smooth, cups cut proper. Generally I play early AM and course can get a little wet, but as the morning progresses, so do the greens, progressively FAST! From the tips the course plays long because you get no roll in the fairways. Its a great test and the par threes are a good challenge to shoot them in par. The pro staff, managed by Head Pro Kiki Garcia is great along with there fully stocked pro shop with a great selection of equipment and apperal. They offer outstanding stimulus online golf with free balls and lunch, so check them out with Donovan website. Also I would like to applaude Greens Super Mr. Cuellar, for his outstanding work he does keeping this course in Country Club condition. See you all next week as General Old is on my groups weekly rotation. Keep up the great work and thanks for maintaining one of the best courses public or private in So. Cal.

Yucaipa Valley is back, golf course is coming around into top playing conditions, Tee boxes have all been renovated, greens are fast and true, lots of break. The management staff, lead by Russ Davies PGA, is knowledgable and friendly. The green fees are great and the weather has been excellent. So come on out and play a top notch level course and enjoy the scenery of the San Bernardino Mountains and Yucaipa Valley. Hit it straight, and beware going downhill, 3 putts are easy if you don't pay attention!
This course was awesome, great greens, lush fairways, and enough character to make you want to come back. A very good test of golf and you won't be disapointed. The green fees are reasonable especially if you have a Red Dot book, two-for-one. Make your plans and take a cruise up the 101 to play this little gem.
Played 6/1 and of course it was hot! 90+ by 10am, but this little course is maturing nicley, it's been about a year since last played. The greens were a little wet as well as the fairways, teeing off before 8am, but was really in nice shape, the bunkers are well placed and were also wet! But it plays fair and you must use your course manegment skills to score. The green fees are priced now in the off season so you can play at near 1/2 off regular rates, the carts are also equipped with GPS. So dress cool and bring your large water bottle, there are water stations about every 4 holes, also if you play early I suggest some bug repellent the gnats are swarming on some of the lake holes and will love your sweet smelling sun-block! Hemet G.C is a Landmark design and if enjoy playing any of there many courses in so.cal you'll like this.
The General was smiling down on his old course today, the course was overall in very good shape the greens are smallish and the fairways in good condition for the closing of winter. It is a very traditional lay-out with some very nice holes, the 18th plays 567 from the blue tees and is a great finishing hole with the largest green on the course. You will enjoy this old gem. Play it soon.
Some real nice golf holes, the greens are the key to open this track, get the proper speed and you can score here. The course plays hard and fast in the cool crisp air here in Yucaipa. The price is also right!
Still one of my favorite course's anywhere! From the championship tees this little course has it all, risk, reward pushing perfect. You think you can keep it going try this course real soon and hope the wind stays calm or you can add 2 strokes per every 10mph of wind! Trust me you make par on the par 5 16th into a 25mph headwind your playing some golf! See you at the Rock"
a very demanding but fair test, the back tees are nearly impossible, very long, the blues will give you everything you can handle, the greens are very fasy with lots of breaks and just the natural beauty is worth the trip.
The best value in So.Cal, if you want to play a vintage old school golf this course is it! Length, trees, water, doglegs and fast and true greens. It's well worth the drive up to Beautiful Hesperia!
How's this little gem has grown! Tight, course knowledge a must, greens are tough to read, and fairways are nice. Play it smart to post a decent score, go for broke and reap the consequences!
