Played on 5/14. Not much to say about the course conditions. Its in amazing shape throughout, lush and green. The greens are perfect. Some courses that have fast greens also have greens that are usually hard and I have trouble stopping the ball. These are receptive but fast. The only minor issue is bunkers are a little inconsistent in the amount of sand it has.

Played the Babe today, Monday, as they are aerating later this week. Course is in great shape, and the greens are perfect. Too bad that in order to keep the greens so good they have to aerate twice a year, but that's the price you pay to have a quality public/resort course. Industry Hills has a really good course maintenance team. Course played somewhat slow as the Ike was beginning aeration today. Fortunately, Industry is using micro holes for the aeration topped with sand. Greens should be OK in a couple of weeks, but will be very playable very soon. The question is when will they be cut for the first time post aeration? Otherwise, the Babe is a tight course (tighter than the Ike), and it gets tighter the farther back you play. But it's fun and it's a fair challenge. Typical of many courses these days, people are too lazy to fix their ball marks, fill their divots or properly rake the bunker after being in it. It shows a lack of respect for the golf course and is a pet peeve of mine. And who do you think are the first to complain about their ball landing in a fairway divot or a bunker footprint? You guessed it!

Played this AM. First off so great 3 H POP. Great customer service at check in (thank you Al). Course is in really good shape. Sad to learn that they will be punching next week, as the greens right now are terrific (always the way). Found most of the tee boxes had been punched, but no issues. Sand traps were all good (in 2) with no issues. Fairways are green and lush. Good lies and roll out. Rough was about 1 inch but playable. Greens were clean, green, no divot damage and had great speed (especially downhill). Here is the email alert I received a few days ago.

Played today. First off with no POP issues. + they do not let back 9 players on, so no issue there. Fairways still remain thin but with more daylight hours, they are greening up more. Only had 1 CPO today on # 16 and that is because it just needs more sun in that one low area. While the fairways are thin, they provided good lies and good roll out. Tee boxes are all fine. In a couple traps and sand was consistent in each and all others looked the same, so I personally had no issues with them. Greens are rolling great with good speed, especially when above the hole. They chip and putt really nice. Excellent customer service as always, at all levels. Liked the fact I saw the maintenance person tapping down all the divots as I was playing. Nice touch.

The Babe is looking pretty darn good right now. Of course, the fairways are a bit dormant, but overall the playing conditions continue to get better and better.

Finally got a chance to get out yesterday at Industry Hills Babe course. Considering we didn't have a frost delay given the 30's temps in the San Gabriel Valley, the course was in good winter conditions. The greens were mostly smooth and running around 9/10. Fairways had good coverage. Tee boxes could use some leveling, but overall course is in good shape. The only weakness would be the sand traps. They could of used more sand. Cart gal came around a few times and POP was 4.45 hours. Slow for a Tuesday, but not unbearable. Even though this is a shorter course, it certainly plays tough and requires accuracy. Customer service was excellent and current promotion rate of $49 is still one of the best deals around.

First off this morning. 3 H POP for $49 is well worth it. Course has started to show its colors and is improving. Now that the weather is warming, the fairways are greening up and showing good life. Though damp this AM when we started, they still all played very well. Tee boxes are lush and over seeding took well. Traps were all fine (in one and all others looked fine). Rough was 1" and damp sticky. Greens were terrific (IMO). Chipped/putted very well and had excellent speed (and all mowed before we arrived at any hole). Had two CPO holes but no others. I can only think that as it warms up (please) the course will even get better?

Played out here this morning at 745am. Course is pretty wet in the mornings, was cart path only on probably 6-7 holes which obviously slowed down POP although still got around in about 4.5 hours. Course layout is quirky and tight and doglegged. Definitely a course that is all about ball placement off of the tee, once out of position tough to get back. Course conditions were very nice highlighted by near perfect greens. Fairways were a little long in spots and the ball doesn’t sit up great but they looked nice. Rough was pretty tough in the morning with the wetness out there. Bunkers were all great from what I saw and the one I was in. Price was only 50 bucks which I thought was a good deal for the conditions. Not my favorite layout but definitely makes you hit a variety of shots off the tee.

So nice of I H to notify GK of all the maintenance going on today. If they had, I would not have played. I first noticed a lot of divots in the first fairways. When I got to # 6 I found out why. They were aerating the fairways. They were blowing away the mess on each fairway, but the damage was done. For the rest of the round I had to find a clean spot in the fairways to hit from. The tee boxes were OK, the traps were OK, the greens (while slow) were OK (and they will aerate them soon). So all in all, the round was not very enjoyable. If you plan on playing, when you make your reservation ask how the conditions are at present. Due to the work being done, I will not rate the course today.
