Played here on Thurs 8th of November with my Dad. Got a good deal on Group Golfer. This course is one of my favorites but is a little out of the way. (Palmdale) The course was empty because of the Windy and cloudy conditions but we got lucky on the front nine with just a little rain and ez breezes. The back nine had fierce wind. The fairways were in great condition, cut nicely and the ruff was 2 to 3 inches, tough but not penalizing. The greens were perfect as usual, running true and fast, very fun to putt on. Holding approach shots with ease. My Dad and I had two "Sandy's" with him remarking that the bunkers actually had "sand" in them. Nice white beach sand and soft. Very nice people in the pro shop. I wish I lived closer.

Played here on 6/18 at 8:30 am. I don't write many reviews but when I do it's because the place is worth it! We got a little lucky because there was little to no wind most of the day until the last three holes. When there was a breeze is was cool and nice! This course is in the best shape I've seen in years. From T to Green! T boxes perfect, Fairways so nice my dad was afraid to hit off of them because they reminded him of his greens on his home course! For me the greens were key. Fast and true! Hard but receptive! I could not wait to hit an approach shot or get to a par three! Had a truly memorable round with my Bro and Dad. The staff was very nice. I wish I lived closer but play here when ever I can.

This course remains to be one of my old rate, but a new course deal.

I agree with the recent two reviews. This is a short but a fun course. . . not too-too short, but a lot of fun and they do take good care of this course in a way that it presents itself well to the players with good sand bunker consistency, well groomed fairways and greens, running fairways and hard/fast/smooth greens. . .what more could everyone want for a low rate?

Played 12/21 with rgm2525, 11 am tee time. Only $16 to walk (I belong to their "Player's Club"), total bargain. It was a rare non windy afternoon in Palmdale, low 60's and sunny, pretty nice winter day in sunny So Cal!!

Course is in great shape, especially considering it's getting down into the 20's and 30's at night in Palmdale. Fairways and green in great condition, greens running pretty quick. Tee boxes level and in good shape, bunkers have nice fluffy sand (from first hand experience!)


I have no issues driving the 50 minutes or so to get here, as the course is always in good shape.

Good time this afternoon with fellow GKers Noeldaof, TonyBarrett, and TheBigDog. $24 walking rate. Course was in great condition: greens soft, yet fast; fairways and rough were lush; tee boxes lush and level, sand in decent condition. East to northeast wind about 15 to 20 m.p.h.; usually winds are out of the northwest. Either way, you will play a bunch into the wind and a bunch down wind. Great views on a challenging and scenic course. Able to finish in just under 4 1/2 hours, including letting several singles and twosomes go ahead.

Played last Sunday afternoon with Tony. The course is in fine shape. Looks like goldenbear got his wish as the fairways were on the dry side. There were some areas of turf that looked stressed from lack of water, but they did not seem to be in play. Afternoon wind out of the north west made for a challenging round; typical of this course. Greens were fast and rolled nicely, despite being aerified late last month. Right side of number two green has a small area of dead grass (fungus), but the green is large enough that it is not really an issue. Fairways and rough were lush leaving you with good lies most everywhere. Many of the small trees have begun to grow up, but the course still has a very desert-like feel.

First time playing this course and I really enjoyed the experience. Desert style course with expansive waste areas but generous fairways. The course was in fantastic condition. Lush fairways, level tee boxes and lightning fast greens. Overall great day and I will be back.

Played 9/20/11. 9:30am tee time. Got a great deal on GG $54 for twosome with cart. First off, starter does not call groups to tee. Felt like first come first for first tee. We were a foursome and we let a twosome tee off first. There seem to be no one on the course except for a couple of groups in front. Played in about four and a half hours. My buddy had an altercation with one of the maintenance workers cutting the rough on the first tee. I thought it was kind of funny that a worker would cut grass so close to the players. Seemed like it was maintenance day. Course was severely over watered. Fair ways were soaking wet and saw a couple of plugged balls in the fair way and my tee shot on the 9th hole spun back a couple of feet because of the wet fairway (absolutely no wind today). Tee boxes were very nicely maintain and fairways were lush but also wet. It is quite a distraction when you hit a nice drive but does not roll out when you hit a nice shot and wet dirt splatters all over you from the back splash. Shots tend to carry a bit further because of the higher elevation and low humidity. Greens were nice and rolled true not too fast not slow at all but just right. Bunkers were all over watered and felt like wet dirt (hard pan at times). The last two times I played this course was more fun because there were less distractions and the course was in better shape. Pro shop could go with more products and the range could use some shade because hitting 25 balls drains a lot out of a person before a round in 95*+ weather. Over all I would go back if the course was dried out a bit more.
