I've always been a fan of Eagle Glen but my last experience there on Jun 23rd was a little disappointing. I love the layout but the conditions of the course got worst since the last time I played here 2 years ago.

The fairways are dry, brown and thin, poor sand on the bunkers, and the tees present several divots. In the other hand the greens are green and rolled true.

Our cart had some issues with the gps, showing wrong distances, wrong holes and happened also it came to a complete stop on the cart path thinking we were riding on prohibited areas.

I don't know if the management changed since my last visit but I found a complete different course.

Played on Jun 23rd tee time 7,40am with another italian friend.
Oak Quarry is in great conditions, best conditions I've ever played the course.

Greens rolled true holding the shots

Fairways lush and green

Bunkers same soft sand on all the bunkers.

We completed 18 holes in less then 4 hours.

Last time I played Oak Quarry was in 2012 and I think today can be easily considered one of the best and fun layout in Southern California.

Played The Champions Course on 10/18.
First time for me at La Costa Resort and I had great expectation after their 2011 renovation of the course.
Well, my expectation were met. The Champions course is a great course, fantastic and never boring layout with several interesting and challenging holes.
Overall conditions where great. Tee Boxes, Fairways, Greens and Bunkers were in pristine conditions.
Course was packed, due to a morning tournament. I played on threesome and it took us to complete 18 almost 5 hours, but had a very slow foursome in front of us.
Marshall are often visible and help to speed up the pace of play of the slower groups by helping with raking the bunker, find some balls, hold the pin.

Cart are not equipped with GPS but a detailed yardage book is available at the pro shop.

Even if the day on the course has been long I really enjoyed it.
Entering La Costa is like entering a World apart. A resort course where you can feel the relaxed and vacation atmosphere of the place and of the people, being them guests, golfers or just visitors.
And don't miss the view from the pool above the 18th green.

Played on 10/17. First think I want to emphasize is the world class customer service of the club. From the moment you leave your clubs and the car at the valet, at the pro shop, at the bar, the guys working at the driving range, the forecaddies, all the employees do their best to deliver the best excellent service for an unforgettable experience for the golfer at The Grand.

Before my round I went to their state of the art practice area: an employee is there welcoming you to the 2 chipping greens and the impeccable driving range provided with pyramids of prov1s, offering you water and sunscreen.

The course is a fun and fair Tom Fazio layout, with elevation changes and great views from the higher tees. Played from the blues, not extremely long.
Fairways where in nice conditions while greens were recovering from the recent aeration. They actually aerated half of some the greens so putting on two kind of "surfaces" was a little challenging.
One more week and the greens will completely be recovered.

They provide the golfer with brand new yamaha golf carts, really comfortable. Gps is on the cart and a forecaddie will help to speed up your round.

It took to our threesome less then four hours for our morning round.

Always a wonderful experience playing Trump National. Played 8/24 in the afternoon after a short layover in LA beeing not far from my Hotel in Torrance.
Had the chance to play for a rate lower then their rack rate (maybe excessive for the course).
Layout is challenging and conditions are almost pristine, still some brown areas on the fairways but almost not perceivable. Greens are perfect as the fluffy white sand on their bunkers. Of course golf cart are provided with GPS.
Ocean vistas from the golf course are among the best you can get in SoCal.
I love their driving range with free golf balls for you practice.
If you can find a deal a course you can't miss.

Played on 8/12, had 2,30 pm tee time but I arrived at the golf club earlier (played Dove Canyon CC in the morning) and I've been able to tee off at 1,10 pm. Played as a single in under 3 hrs.
First time for me playing AT. Even if I wasn't particularly impressed by the layout of the course after the first 3 holes, from the Par 3 4th I started to enjoying it and completely loved it from the 9th to the 18th. An incredible collection of golf holes so different one from the other and each one with its own peculiarity.
I think the actual conditions of AT are not at its best. Greens (not all of them) are still recovering after being infested by fungus, and had some patchy areas and several unrepaired ball marks.
Fairways, bermuda grass, had some browns areas, maybe due to the season. Even if I played in the afternoon I found some of them wet with the ball not rolling like it should.
I've visited three bunkers and the sand was perfect, soft and fluffly.
Golf Cart features GPS, even if and old style one with no map of the hole but just distances.
But it worked perfectly to me.
Hope I'll have the chance to play again AT when it will offer its best and pristine condtions.
A fantastic and absolutely not boaring fair layout.

Played on 6/3 @12 pm. Challenging layout with narrow fairways and very easy to loose balls if you are not hitting straight shots. But you also may find many.
Overall RRV is a great track, a must play if you are looking for fun and challenging golf.
Conditions reflect weeman68 previous review.
Staff is great and really friendly.
New golf cart, no GPS.
POP ok, just a little over 4hrs for our foursome. The course wasn't very crowded.

Played on 5-21 @ 2 pm. Me and my golf buddy had a 2,30 pm tee time but have been able to tee off a little earlier thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. We joined another twosome. Pop less then 4,5 hrs.
To me Eagle Glen is always fun golf course to play, with several beautiful holes and great views of the local area.
Some work in progress along the course. They are building new tees on holes 5 and 10.
Overall condtions were good except for some bare areas on some of the fairways on the back 9. Unfortunately I found many unrepaired pitch marks on the greens.

I agree with murrlaw1 regarding the cartgirl!!

Absolutely a must play if you are planning an outing in the desert.
I was surprised by this incredible golf course. Classic Club is amazing considering you are playing in the middle of the desert.
Played on 5/21 with my friend Fabio, and GK Shebylo and Shazza @ 7,30.
Shebylo previous review perfectly describes the conditions of the course.
Overall conditions were excellent with lush fairways and, due to the heat, some dry areas on the greens wich were really fast and tricky.
First Class practice facility.

Classic Club is definitely on my top 10 best golf courses I ever played

Played on 5/20. We were 2 players and had a 1,30pm tee time. The course wasn't busy so we had the chance to tee off 20 min earlier.
This was my second time there since I played The Mountain course a couple of years ago and is always one of my favorite. Great layout. Holes 14,15,16,17 are some of the most beautiful you can play in the Coachella Valley.
Unfortunately I found the course not at its best conditions, with some dry spots on the fairways.

POP was OK...a little over 4hrs...we played the front 9 under 2h (no one in front of us until hole 12) and the back 9 over 2h with a lot of waiting due to the foursome in front of us from hole 12 till the end.

Played SilverRock on 5/20 @ 7,30 with my friend Fabio and a single.
Pop a little over 4.5 hrs due to a slow foursome in front of us (one of the two ladies was allowed to play with flipflops!!).Marvellous conditions of the course, lush fairways and greens rolled true and fast.
Great layout and a lot of fun.

Played on 11/6...Trump National is currently under maintance and they are overseeding the fairways. Greens have just been aerated and now are in perfect conditions.
Due to the overall present conditions I am not rating it.
Cart path only until 11/30, not an easy way to play the Trump.
Beside that is always a pleasure to play 18 holes with amazing ocean views on this spectacular golf course.
Green Fee rate until the end of November is $150 (regular $275 from 12/1) but you can find great deals on ezlinks (I paid $69).
If you want to experience the Trump at very low rate do it now, but if you want to play it on pristine conditions just wait another month.
