Played Sunday morning, 8:10am tee time. POP was 4.5hrs. Pace was horrible as always on the first 4 holes and then it seemed to flow.

Course is in overall good shape right now. Teeboxes were good for the most part. They spread out the markers all the way across the tee box, so you have plenty of room to find a decent level spot.

Fairways were good to very good. Didn't have any bad lies all day. They had perfect cushion and good amount of roll out on the drives.

Rough was minimal. Not too penal. Good coverage.

Didn't find any bunkers, but they seemed fine.

Greens were pretty darn good! They held shots very well and were quite fast. As usual, they are diabolical with slopes in certain spots. I had a 4putt from 10feet and missed two other 1 footers! Crazy putting on these greens.

$49 to walk isn't too bad nowadays. Good customer service all around. Recommend.

Looking for somewhere to play which would not be quite so hot, but even Costa Mesa was hot. Just a fun course to play. Because of the interesting green complexes, always presents a challenge, not because of the shorter distance, but rather the unique greens. As usual, course was in very nice condition, staff was great and all things considered, pace of play decent. If you have not played this course, don't let the shorter yardage dissuade you.

Played here a couple times recently. For the price, it’s pretty good. Shorter course but a lot of people playing, tough to get a tee time. Staff does a decent job at getting groups out but I haven’t seen a marshal during the round. This course doesn’t go back to the clubhouse for the turn so the only food/beverage area is after the 14th hole. They could definitely put some more sand in the bunkers. Food is always decent, probably goes for most courses. But this is definitely a place I like having in a consistent rotation.

Played yesterday, Sunday, Aug 11. Surprisingly got a teetime fairly easily on their website when I looked it up on Aug 4th and there were quite a few teetimes remaining. $49 to walk the blue tees is a good value for weekend. Course busy as usual, but POP was right under 4.5hrs, not bad.

This course is just a blast to play. These greens are unlike any other, crazy small in most all circumstances. It's the course's only defense as the short yardage won't scare anyone. The greens were in very good to great shape. They held shots very well and putted smooth at a consistent medium fast pace. Some downhillers and side hillers can't get by you really easily.

Bunkers were just fine, nice soft sand, but found a footprint one time because people don't like to rake these for some reason.

Rough was pretty darn brutal! Stay out of it if you can, very thick bermuda and grabs your club every time. Grip the club firmly and aim to the right is what I finally learned on my third attempt.

Fairways were in great shape for the most part. Couple of areas that needed repair, but in all the proper landing areas I never had a problem. They offered good cushion and average rollout.

Teeboxes were good for the most part except for the par 3's, they were pretty beat up and longer than normal with occasional uneven lies, but they had the markers completely spread out across the entire tee box, so that was kind of fun as you had about 15-20 yards of area on some of them to tee it up.

Customer service was just fine, saw the beverage cart a couple times and the proshop window was just fine.

Highly recommend right now, especially if you've never played it. Get on out there.

Course remain sin very nice condition. Greens a bit quicker than last month - rolled well. Fairways have good coverage. A few tee boxes need some attention, but not a big deal. Always enjoy my time here. Staff is friendly and the course is just simply fun to play. Reasonably priced for Orange County is a bonus.

Have to agree with the last review. The course is in some of the best condition I can remember. While this course seems to always be pretty good, conditions are even better now. I really enjoy this shorter course. Not so much because as a senior it is more user friendly, but because it has some really good green complexes. Many interesting holes, which provide enough challenge, without being too penal or overwhelming, or requiring length to enjoy. I resisted okaying Mesa Linda for many years, always opting to play Los Lagos. Once I actually played this course, it was so much fun, I now choose it as a favorite of the two courses.

They got a new course superintendent and he is great! I have been playing here for the last 12 years and the course is in the best shape i have ever seen it. Sand traps are still not good but they are slowly working on them. Don't get me wrong this isn't country club quality but for a public course it's pretty darn good. Also you can't beat the price

Not as busy as expected. I suspect the weather was a factor? Always enjoy this course, particularly the interesting green complexes

Always enjoy playing this fun shorter course. I say it every time, but I am always impressed at the green complexes here. Very interesting and challenging. Decent pace and very receptive. Good coverage in the fairways. Several tee boxes were a bit beat up, but overall, could always find a spot to put the peg in the ground.

Staff is efficient and accommodating. Also, like that the course does not "come in" after 9, so never have to deal with back nine play. If you have never played this course due to its shorter yardage, suggest you give it a try. I think you'll enjoy the experience.
