Greens are fast. fairways are good for winter time. bunkers are soft with lots of sand. greens have some tricky slopes. course is flat, but very challenging. very crowded, but still finished at 4 hours walking. teed off at 7 in the morning. probably a longer round if teed off later.

Played the Destroyer for the first time ever. Had to wait for a couple of my buddies to find their military paperwork so we could all get the discount. We were really impressed with this course.

Played the Destroyer for the first time ever. Had to wait for a couple of my buddies to find their military paperwork so we could all get the discount. We were really impressed with this course.

Customer service was great, young lady at desk was cordial and friendly, put us into the database for when we come back. The course was in very good shape, fairways rolled decent, greens were firm and fast, bunkers varied in sand quality. Most were decent sand but a couple were thin on sand and firm underneath (18th hole, right green side bunker).

Greens were not very receptive specially on long irons or woods. Many were not very deep as you played in from the fairway causing shots to roll off, specially with the firmness they had. Many undulations that were unfamiliar for us first timers.

Will definitely put it into our lineup of courses to play. It was challenging but not overly difficult. Could have scored better but that will come after playing it a couple of times. Based on a 72 par, I would rate it a 76-78 for this outing.

Nice visit to the Navy course. I was able to book a twilight round (2pm) with no problem ... $26 walking ($38 w/cart) non-military ... on a Tuesday afternoon. Found the course just a bit thin & ragged in the fairways as compared to the past, although I've not played here for a while (GUR: some marked, some not). Greens were fine, medium speed, holding well, and rolling true. Still well worth the price of admission. Good news was the round only took 4 hours walking, even with a 21 hcp'er along ... the two others who joined us had carts.

Great greens and fairways. Staff goes over and beyond there call of duty. Perfect tee rates.

This is a gem of a course. The best are the greens. Greens are fast..probably 9.5 and roll true. The course is already long enough from the blues..but factor the wind and you're hitting 6 irons into par 4s. Don't be discourage on the front 9 score...the back plays much easier and will make up the front score.

They got a special for 27 bucks usually on C4TT at 2:30. Pace of play is usually under 4.5 and not many hackers out there. Bring your punch shot game.
