Everything one would expect from a Troon product. High quality, good attentive service on a lush well presented layout made for good golf.
Pleasant staff, good prac/fac and putting green, modest bar/grill, adequate pro shop. Not a busy day and mainly off in twosomes with brisk pace under 4 hours. Lush conditions throughout; tees, fairways, rough and greens. Disappointed with the sand (odd for desert). Layout fun and can be tough but excellent manicuring made tough shots fun. Lots of water stations, and drinks cart passes. Get in a round prior the overseeding; ours ezlinks.com $45 with 11:50 tee time.

Yeah I know its summer in the desert and its 110 degrees, not the prime time to be teeing it up in Palm Springs. ..but I was shocked at the neglect this potentially awesome course is getting. Mr. Player would be embarrassed at a track bearing his having greens with dead spots all over them and untrimmed traps that haven't been drug in a week. Fairways and Tee Boxes are nice, and its a stimulating track. I would imagine in the winter and early spring its well worth the money, but $60 is not worth it for this time of the year.

First time in Palm Desert area and loved it. Wish I could have played more than one round, but it is what it is. Took RobStretch's suggestion on this course and felt it was a good choice given I haven't played much over the last several months. You can definitely go low on this course. Fairways are pretty much wide open and greens are pretty simple. Course was in spectacular shape. Pace of play was great...I went off as a single at 0715 and was done before 1000! Proshop is not what I would call resort caliber, so I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking to relax in style after your round.

played sunday morning w/a 35.00 deal from golfnow. This course is exactly how rob stretch describes it. The course is in great shape and is very challenging. The putts roll true and the sand in the bunkers are firm. This is one of my favorite courses and I will play it again in the near future

This was the first course that we had on our Palm Springs schedule. We had a choice between this course, Eagle Falls (great course), Classic Club (ditto) and we chose to play Westin.
I would like to start with the weather - What a beautiful day, hot but manageable, atmosphere nice.

The club house is small but very comfortable, nice employees and other golfers. They are sponsered by Callaway - which I thought was interesting beause EVERYTHING was callaway - Starter was nice but if anyone ever complains I can understand why - but he was very good with us and the other golfers before us.

The course was in good shape - I wish there was a practice area like this one around my area. They had everything. Putting greens, a big chipping area, a big sand area and a long range area. This area was very nice.
The course was also in good condition. They actually water punched the greens so you could see these little holes but the putts rolled very true and still medium fast. When the greens fully heal, they are going to be very fast.

Sand traps were in good condition, sand was consistent throughout the course. Not all very deep but some of them had some lips to them. And they were placed in areas, the average golfer will miss.

Fairways and tee boxes were in very good shape as well, the only thing negative I could think to say is that the cart paths pass the tee boxes if you are playing more than the whites. On several occassions we had to turn around becuase we were at the wrong tee box. (I think that was more our fault) They have signage, we just were not paying enough attention.

Very nice veiws of mountains, skys, homes, and so on. Also the course design was very interesting as well with things like water in the middle of two fairways, and other little things that make you think before your shot.

This course should be a must play on your list if you are going out to palm springs. they have great deals on GOLFNOW.com that will help with pricing but if that is not a problem then this is one of the places that should be bucket listed.

Great course, fun to play perfect fairway and greens, played 8am 4/23 for golfnow price of $72. Greens are rolling true at medium speed looking forward to playing this a second time. Very friendly staff, although I found it odd that the cart was identified with my last name and how much I owed for the green fee which was $0.

Love this course, fun and won't beat you up if you hit it down the middle. Drove out for the day and worth the drive.

What a fun track. It challenges you to make smart decisions. Worth playing if you are in the desert. Stay at the Westin for dicounted green fees.
