Wife and I went out with the GK cup finals folks Saturday around 11:45 tee time. Course is simply fantastic right now. We were blessed with nice weather. Greens are great , played a bit slow on front9 , but sped up on the back.

Greens were running a bit slower than usual but still rolled true and smooth. I always try and find something to criticize for these reviews but at Eagle Falls I just can't seem to find anything. I have played this course at all times of year and find the conditions range from great to perfect. I wish all courses were this good.

Played on 8/31 and the course is looking good for this time of year. Played the tips and the tee boxes were mostly lush and level. The fairways were in better than average condition for courses in the area with less sun damage. Rough was lush wasn't very penal. Greens looked great and had few ball marks. They were a little shaggy and ran slow. Only knock is regarding the greenside bunkers. They are very thin and make explosion shots impossible let alone taking much sand at all with the shot. Recommended.

Played Eagle Falls today with GK member Balmoraljim. Weather conditions were perfect today slight breeze and slight cloud cover kept temps down to the upper 00s for most of the round.
Customer service was good and the starter provided useful information on how to make it around the course. Practice range was completely open today with no one insight. Grass was lush, but for my liking a bit to long, and practice bunker was wet and heavy from early morning watering. Practice green was posted as running at 9.5 but seemed much slower and shaggy. I believe the practice green was running more like 8-8.5.
Tee boxes were soft and a bit shaggy again, with noticeable divot damage on several tees. Fairways were mowed to a reasonable height, and provided good lies throughout the day, however several areas were quite wet almost to the point of soggy again from the morning watering, your distance today came from carry not roll. Bunkers were less than stellar as again the watering came into play and caused most of them to be wet and heavy. The sand is not of good quality in either fairway of green side bunkers, more of a waste bunker texture and very thin in most cases, with sub-soil coming out with attempts.
Greens were very slow, again I think more of an 8.5, cross cut and very hard. Very difficult to get any shot today to hold unless you brought it in from the clouds. Little to no ball marks or ball mark damage noted. Although slow the greens here are quite large and provide an ample challenge for the player, with several subtle breaks not always going the direction you may think, ( I.E.) mountains or valley. This course presents a medium challenge with most site lines clear to the pin, if you get to far off line you may run into problems. The rough here provides an adequate challenge at 2-3 inches in most areas, and the ball sits up well, however the rough also has a sticky feeling to it that is different than most courses.
Overall the course is fun and a great way to spend a day. You also can not beat the price at 35.00 for everything including 4 bottles of water. I would recommend this course and yes play it again.

First time here and it was a blast. Awesome layout with no house around the course. Lots of undulation and mild elevation changes. Rolling and sometimes mounding fairways. Definetly helps to know where to hit it. However if it's your first time the GPS in the cart is the best I've seen. Friendly staff, ice chest on cart with 4 bottles of water...none on the course though. Grass range. This place is great. $39 off season rate that is the same all day. Played as a foursome in under four hours with one beginner.

Greens were cross cut and terrible...should have called them "browns" ...fairways were punched...we had called and told no aeration until end of the month...not told that greens were barely puttable....inconsistant sand traps...worst condition we have seen this course...for mid june..it should have been much better...we could expect this end of the summer..not the beginning....will not play here again...sorry to say.....

The weekend morning rate we paid is $49 and they throw in range balls and 4 bottles of water. As others have noted, great design. This is such a good looking course. All the staff we encountered was friendly and professional. Not much for food service but the pretty and efficient bev cart girl made up for that. Excellent pacing by starter.

Played Thursday GK plays with three other Gk members. Our tee time was for 1 pm in the afternoon, weather was great, felt like 80 to 85, then for a little while 90. The course is in fantastic condition, Striped mowed fairways looked awesome and were a pleasure to play from. The greens were large and rolled true, but for me difficult to read the breaks. Some of the greens seemed really slow. I guess they were against the grain type putts. I would say they were medium speed. We were told the greens were exactly like the practice green, and they were right on, even including the many caterpillars for some reason. The course is pleasing to the eye, not overly difficult unless you are really wild off the tee, which I was on a few occasions. Some water hazards, but for the most part any area off the course if you could find the ball was not in a staked situation. I enjoyed the par fives and the short go for the green par fours.
The layout was interesting, not boring, but not any ' wow ' moments . The conditions I would say were a big 'wow' because the green grass was great.
I really appreciated the beverage cart being out there so often as there were not many golfers out there. The gps on the carts was outstanding but the volume on the tips was too low for me to hear. I am looking forward to re visiting this great course behind the bushes behind the casino behind the parking lot.

Had the chance to Play Eagle Falls with fellow GKer's, Shebylo, Thingsdoto, and Sbogey. What a fantastic round, I have said it before and will say it again GKer's are the best guys in the world to play golf with.
The course is the best I seen this year. I can not find a single thing that was out of place, we talked among ourselves throughout the round, about what we did not like and could not find one thing to complain about. The staff here should be proud and know that they have presented a course that is in pristine condition. The greens were fast, and held shots well and most were larger than average, guessing maybe 10 or higher with no dry and bare spots, and rolled extremely well. The fairways were green extremely lush and gave good lies every time. The rough played at 2-3 inches and was very thick, giving a fair chance to recover, but yet being penal in nature if you decided to get greedy and advance the ball to far. The sand in all bunkers was fluffy white and averaged 3-4 inches, again allowing for recovery, some bunkers require a side ways play as I found out a total of 4 times. The traps here are deep with high steep faces and very large, so you need to really apply yourself here and not take them for granted. Temps today were in the mid to possibly upper 80s with a light wind, maybe 10 mph. The range complex here is just as outstanding as the course itself, with a huge well marked range, excellent range balls a large putting green that is true to course conditions and a sand bunker that rounds out your experience prior to playing.

Looking back on the round the only thing I can find that was out of place, the 16th hole a middle length par 3 at 154 had several ball marks on the green that previous groups did not repair, this in noway rests upon the course, it goes back to the inconsiderate golfers ahead of us throughout the day who do not have the common sense to repair them. The only other thing to think about is the clubhouse, it should match this outstanding course and presently it lags well behind.

On a personal note if you have the chance to play with any on these men do so, they are terrific group of men who enjoy the game of golf, also Shebylo(Sunny) has a great talent to make people laugh with his one liners he makes a round very enjoyable away from the side of just being out on the course.
I would certainly go back and play this course over again and again, GREAT JOB THO THE STAFF, BE PROUD OF WHAT YOU HAVE HERE!!!
