So I just looked up in the dictionary, the definition of a pleasant golf day, and there was this picture of these four fine gentlemen who golfed today at Eagle Falls!!! An enjoyable, easy 4 hours of solid golf.
Thanks to Thingstodo, SBogey, Jerry64 for your kind company, and your effort in driving the distances, to witness an expertly presented Clive Clark layout of green carpet in the desert. Mid 80's in a light breeze welcomed us, as did the very nice staff.
Eagle Falls does such a nice job with golfer attention from the friendly, knowledgeable staff at the bag drop, through to the competent pro shop staff, and the F&B service off and on the course.
Expansive prac-fac warms you up for a treat once you are ready, and some good tips from the starter, before your journey.
I shall leave more comments from fellow GKers above but it was hard for me to find fault with any aspect of the course.
It seems to me that it is also priced perfectly for this time of year for such an experience.

Shotgun start.

Greens: Firm, somewhat receptive fast but not too fast.

Fairways: Perfect!

Bunkers: Excellent condition

Tee Boxes: Normal wear but overall very good.

Cust service: Attentive considering how many players are in the field.

Negative?: Due to frost conditions, delayed shotgun start & the range was closed as well as the putting/chipping greens. :(

POSITIVE: FREE ADMISSION for EVERYONE who wants to attend this event on SATURDAY Feb. 23rd 2013 THE FINAL DAY of the 2 day event. You'll be surprised how many celebrities are in the field!

I was in the Palm Springs area recently and played this course. Beautiful and in excellent condition. A must play if you're in the area. Located off I 10 just South of Rancho Mirage in Indio, Ca. The pace of play was very good. This course does not have a set of "middle tees" (6300/6400 range). You could always play a combination set of tees to get a yardage that fits your game. There are some risk/reward drivable par 4's.

Range - perfect. Fairways were simply outstanding, Greens were smooth and well conditioned with medium speed. Bunkers were consistent. Only negative I would say was that this is NOT the place to show up more than 1 hour before your tee time. This is something you just are supposed to know. You do not have access to the range (including practice greens) until 1 hour before your tee time. This is a very female friendly course.

Played Nov. 30th/2012...This is a beaut ! Great condition, greens were smooth and likely were the fasted greens we played this week, although certainly not a 12 on the Stimp, I would say a 10 anyway. The course has lots of sand fairway and green-side, and water hazards which all come into play. If you can avoid these hazards and the desert you can score really well (no kidding, bet you've never heard that before) which I was fortunate enough to do. Most of the greens are fairly straight forward and relatively easy to read, however there are some subtle undulations, so have a good look at each putt. Fairways are usually wide enough, but at times you may not want to use the driver as distance is not always the most important part, placement is as you can have some blind second shots if you don't place your ball on the correct side of the fairway. Rough was lush (and long), and will grab your club. Customer service was very good, friendly staff all the way through. My only criticism is that the yardages from the tips (over 6700 yards) and the next set of tees (Hawk 6140) is too great, it would be really good if they had a tee around 6400 yards, that would make it for a better challenge in my opinion. Perhaps they could look at a "Combo Tee" that many other courses. The only other "issue" although not a major one, is that there is no "handy" snack shack at the turn, you have to head back over the bridge to the clubhouse, but we did see the cart girl a fair amount, however if it was really busy you wouldn't. Play it when you get the chance, well worth it.

Played Eagle Falls at 6:30 AM on 7/13. We got lucky with the weather as the sun didn't come out for most of the round. The course is located a bit out of the way if you are staying in the main Palm Springs area. Otherwise, the course was in great shape, the staff was courteous and the green fee very reasonable (we paid $50). My only other comment is that the layout didn't seem as interesting or challenging as some of the other premium courses in the area. With that said, it's a pretty solid choice in the desert.

Played on Sunday morning, 7/15. The course as always is in excellent condition and the staff are really great. Must have seen the cart girls 6 times which was great given the heat. Pace of play was great as the course was not busy at all very surprising given the $49 green fee even though it's summer. I play here every trip I make to the desert.

Green Fee- 49 dollars, this is a great deal for the money
Pros- First time I have ever played here. Course is a neat little track. I think that the layout of a couple holes are very cool, #1, #7, #11,#12,#13 all come to mind as good layouts with interesting quirks. The course was in fine shape and played pretty true to the yardage. I didn't get any real extra roll with the driver or any strange bounces. Greens were in good green condition for this time of year and they don't have any divots. The bunkers were fine and the fairways and rough were decent.
Cons- No water on the course for drinking. They charged me 3.50 for a coke at the turn. The layout on the holes not mentioned above didn't really excite me. This course was not a pusher in that it didn't challenge my to hit tough shots really or test any of my high number of weaknesses. The greens, though in great shape, rolled really slow. There were also some places where the greens had been burned and cooked a bit, but not too bad.
Overall, well worth the money, would play again.

I played in the GK outing on Saturday, April 21, 2012 under unusual weather conditions! It was HOT! However, the course is in such excellent condition you forget about it after a while. I have played here a few times now and I have never been disappointed. The staff at Eagle Falls continues to be courteous and helpful from arrival to departure and that is a big plus in my opinion. The greens keeping team keeps this jewel in tip-top shape. Props to them and Willie for providing the best golfing experience in the area!

Kudos to JohnnyGK for arranging another outstanding outing for our members!

I would be remiss if I did not thank my playing partner dralchien for keeping watch on me when I flamed out on holes 11, 12, and 13 from the heat. I was forced to take double par on those holes but got a re-light by 14 after cooling down enough to finish. The good doctor kept encouraging me and exclaimed “Jesse you’re back!” when I could again drive a golf ball off the tee! It is this community coming together to enjoy the game and helping each other when needed that keeps me attending these outings.

All told it was a great day at a great course playing with some of the best people I have had the pleasure to meet. I enjoyed playing with Johnny for the first 4 holes before he left to attend to other things. Thanks Johnny! Now, if I could just cure my pull on #1 it would be miraculous indeed!

I recommend this course to everyone I meet because I know they cannot go wrong by playing here. I just wish I could come out more often but that is left to the future. Also, for those sitting on the fence about joining us at a gathering – you are missing out big time! LOL!
