Played in the GK golf event. As mentioned by most of the reviews it was extremely hot. This was my first event and I really enjoyed it. I met several nice golfers. The course was in excellent shape. The tee boxes were level and had lots of grass. The fairways were nice really nice. The greens were a little more firm than I would like maybe due to the heat. I appreciated seeing the cart girl numerous times with water and ice. I would highly recommend playing this course. It was visually pleasing to the eyes. My play was probably painful for my group to see. I enjoyed playing with them and thank them for their patience. Thanks Eagles Falls staff and Johnny for a great experience.

Great course. Not much to complain about in terms of the condition of the course. I'm just curiously how much effort and money goes into maintain this type of top condition. What happened to all those inland empire courses that used to have better condition? Is it really the bad economy?
I had a great time playing in the outing for the first time and playing with kviser, bnick and sam. Everyone at the outing seemed pretty chill. I definitely want to play in more of these outings.
Greens were little tricky. i think i'm just saying this because i had 5 three putts and total of 38 putts. probably the worst putter of the day. Just couldn't get comfortable with the speed of the green. It seemed like the ball rolled slow from far fast from close. ok, i can't blame the green. it was probably me.
I definitely want to go back to this course and give another shot at the green.

The course was fantastic and I am so disappointed I have not played here sooner. All of the accolades from previous posters is right on. Greens were smooth and fairways were perfect.

Staff was excellent. Comp bottled water and iced towels on the bev cart was most welcomed. Nice touch.

I will be back sooner than later. Great track. Love the strategy of the driveable par 4.

A a participant in this past weekend's GK Event at Eagle Falls, let me begin with a nod of appreciation to my playing partners, Kat, Matt, and Mike, for their part in making the time we spent on the course so enjoyable. It certainly wasn't reflected in my score, but I enjoyed myself and was happy to have made their acquaintance. And I'd be remiss if I didn't give a tip of the hat to Johnny GK for once again organizing and implementing another event that went off without a hitch. Nice to see people from other parts of the country in the field also; it was quite obvious they felt welcome and at home among the "usual suspects".

As far as the playing conditions are concerned, I'll echo the sentiments of the consensus here; tee to green, you'd be hard pressed to find another public venue in such outstanding shape. Turf was uniform and plush while the putting surfaces were just about 100% free of any ball mark damage. Granted, the greens were quite firm and not all that receptive to certain shots, yet they putted smoothly albeit not as quick as anticipated. Contours of the greens weren't too severe but there were certain holes where being below the cup made that first putt a bit less stressful.

Practice facility is top-notch, expansive, and well-marked with target flags; simply a great place to spend a couple of hours working on your swing. I'd rate it right up there with the range at Silver Rock when it comes to quality of turf. Practice green didn't appear to be very large yet was adequate.

As far as the layout is concerned, I wasn't overly impressed...it features a few strong holes but is lacking in dynamics...but I would definitely elect to play Eagle Falls before Silver Rock without hesitation. I think a set of "composite tees", somewhere between the Eagle and Hawk markers would be of great benefit and offer a more diverse test of one's game without having to play it all the way back. However, that being said, 6715 yards from the tips really isn't all that long by today's standards. Let me also add that the course is fair, offers plenty of shot options, and doesn't favor any one type of player, although length off the tee can be a real advantage.

Off-course amenities are spartan, to say the least, but functional. I wonder if this is an attempt by the powers-that-be to funnel after-golf traffic to the nearby casino for lunch, dinner, etc. Although this type of arrangement may make economic sense, I believe a more permanent dining area, even on a low-scale, would be a nice addition and elevate the ambiance just a bit.

My only other area of concern is the absence of water coolers on the course...this is totally unacceptable and potentially dangerous. Having to rely on the beverage cart for bottled water refills during the course of a round in 100+ degree temperatures is a recipe for disaster. Many people fail to properly hydrate themselves BEFORE setting foot on the golf course; feeling the effects of dehydration after 6 or 7 holes with no water available is NOT something I'd like to experience.

In summary, I was glad to have been a part of Saturday's event that offered the opportunity to play a very nice golf course with some good people. Although I heard some laments that Mother Nature decided to turn up the heat prematurely this year, just about everyone has been positive in their reviews and I'm sure Johnny is feeling quite proud about it...as he should.

Played in the GK Event Sat 4/21 at 11am first group out with PFuzz, Cadviar and Ponytailpops. It was a great group of guys who have a ton of game. Thanks for the company guys it was fun seeing some really good shots...especially Cadviar's almost hole in one on #11(par 4) sorry for saying it went in I really thought so from the tee.

Pace of play was 3 hours 30 minutes on a 105 degree hot day. Carts were very nice with GPS numbers right to the hole. Saw the cart girl several times. No clubhouse but trailers served a good breakfast sandwich(almost had two of them) and drinks and munchies. Staff very nice. I joked with the starter that when your turf on the driving range is better than 95% of the turf that most golfers usually play for fairways you know the course is going to be in good shape. Practice facilities included a grass driving range, grass chipping area with a practice bunker and a nice sloped putting green. The golf course sits behind a casino and could be a bit tough to find.

The conditions on the course were very nice, almost immaculate. The greens were rated for me a 9, green and lush, semi-receptive and putting nice. I thought they would be a bit faster but they were almost in perfect shape. They were big enough to hit and some had some undulation to them. The fairways were close to a 10, lush green grass perfect lies with your ball sitting up. The rough was semi lush, green and in perfect shape. The tees were level, lush and in great shape. Not even that much damage on the par 3's which is rare. The sand looked to be in good to great shape even though I did not visit it once. The course has a couple long par 4's and a couple short par 4's. The short par 4's are guarded with water, bunkers and smaller greens which is a good risk reward. Their are no cars, freeways or noises on this course. You get complete peace of mind playing here which is how golf is meant to be played. The scenery with the wildflowers and lush grounds is amazing. I would recommend this course to any skill level. Thanks to Eagle Falls and JohnnyGK for this event.

Played in the GK event 4/21 - thanks to my playing partners stickboy, addictedtugolf, and gadgetgirl for a very enjoyable round. [Saw stickboy's comment about not wanting the back tees - don't be fooled, stickboy can really bring that power fade!] Course design and layout was visually pleasing, and conditioning was wonderful. Would love to pick this course up and drop in on top of Green River! Greens a little too firm to hold shots well, but overall wonderful conditions and a nice mix of length and shorter holes tempting you to go for it. Would love to play this course over and over to know where to charge and where to hold back. Thanks to Johnny for a great event. Recommended.

Played a practice round with AddictedTuGolf (my husband) on 4/16/2012. It was a beautiful day 80 degrees with a very slight breeze at times. The course is very picturesque especially with all of the wildflowers. Bring your camera, if you like to take pictures.

Then we played in the GK event on 4/21. Ykes! Mother Nature turned up the heat. The forecast was for a high of 102. Well the radio said it was 106 at 5:00 PM when we finished our round. There was a slight breeze at times, but not enough to counter the heat. No fear. I play golf in the summer in the desert. But, it was my first time this season. My approach to hot days on the course are hit a shot, drink water, and of course wear hat and use 50+ sunscreen.

Now let's talk about the course. You may be thinking "Wow. She gave it a high rating." Yes I did. Everything about the course was perfect. The only negatives I can give you about the course is that does not have a club house, just trailers for the pro shop and snack bar. But, so what I don't care about that as much as I do about the conditions on the course. That's where I spend my time. The only other thing is that on a hot day you need LOTS of water to drink. They give you an ice chest with water and some bottles, but there's no water jugs on the course to refill the bottles. You will have to get them from the cart girl.

The range/practice area is included. Full range, chipping sand area and putting green. It is well placed around the starter. The putting greens run true to the greens on the course.

The course can be challenging if you spray it left or right in to the desert shrub/flowers. You most likely will not find the ball. On the practice round I was very proud that I hit all of the fairways except one. I am working on NOT driving it to the right!

The layout of each hole is unique and has its challenges and it's safe areas to hit to. Play your appropriate tees and you will enjoy this course.

GK Event: Thank you Johnny! It was a fun event. I learned a new team game. The prizes and raffle was great. Everyone I met were great people. People you definitely would want to play with again.

What a course! Layout is phenomenal, it was hard not to think ahead to an upcoming hole you have been waiting to play or saw as you were playing another hole.

Practice facilities- Very good, Driving range, chipping green, and undulating putting green were all in good shape. Driving range is spacious. Balls were fairly new.

Staff- Very good- From the starter to the Cart attendents, thank you Liz, for always having water and ice for us when we needed it.

Tee boxes- It was always easy to find a lush area to tee it up, I usually tee it up for par 3's, not here I just dropped it on the lush grass.

Fairways- Good lies all day, ball sitting up, pro's would of been jealous.

Rough- Very good condition, not very penalizing.

Sand- Consistent from fairway to green side. Tough if you are short sided due to firmness of greens.

Greens were good- Only complaint about the greens was there was some inconsistency in speed. One green on the back, I think it was 12 had some damage but did not effect anyone in our group.

The course gave Johnny some flags from a previously celebrity event there which was a nice gesture. There is no doubt in my mind I will be back to play here again, it is being added to my list of favorites. If you have not played this course you are missing out, I think everyone who has played here would agree.

Interesting little track in great condition. Tee to green was very green. Fairways looked nice, but I was in the rough more than not, and the rough was perfect for me. Nice, lush, and easy to hit out of. Long string of par 4's on the back 9, but it still feels mixed up as some are very short to decent length. Check the weather before you go, as the heat made it a bit draining, but in decent weather, it would be a great track.
