Played court on Friday, April 11, 2025, and teed off at about 11 a.m.. I was pleased with the condition of the course. Tee boxes were excellent, and the fairways quite exceptional. The greens were pure and rolled true. I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. I have been in the community several times, and the course looked questionable. New ownership has improved this track visually, and it’s in fantastic shape. Certainly recommend the course in its current condition.

Played here today with a 1:44 tee time purchased late Friday night for $45. Paired with three really nice snowbirds who stay in this community when visiting from Saskatchewan. Started a couple minutes early and despite minor waits and a little logjam toward the end of the round, POP was good at about 4:20. Beautiful, hot day in the desert.

Conditions are really nice and the course is playing even better than it looks. Greens are excellent, smooth, firm but accepting of full shots, and medium fast. Downhillers can get away from you easily. Fairways are lush overseeded grass and provide great lies. The fairway-adjacent rough is semi dormant and possibly cut shorter than the fairways. Rough around the greens is much more lush, a couple inches deep, and in fantastic condition. This course has added lots of "native areas" since I played here last with some nice turf reduction efforts. Black tees were good. The bunkers I was in were good.

The layout here is a little funky in spots in both good and weird ways. Glad to find a good deal. Not sure if they haven't adjusted to the time change, but I was surprised to find $45 times at 1:44 when 1:20-something was like $85. Beware when you enter the community, though – they warn you that if you get caught on their radar cameras exceeding 25 mph, they'll mail you a ticket/bill for $200 and revoke your future access to the property.

Played 3/10/23 @ 1216 as my second round of the day. Course was packed! The first tee was stacked up with four groups when I arrived. Pace of play wasn't that bad though- 4.5 hours. Tee boxes from the white tees were nice and level with moderate divot damage on the par 3s. Fairways were nice and cushiony with great coverage. They did have some new lawn reduction/waste areas where there used to be grass. The course looks better than what the current pics look like (which is a good thing). They are putting money into the course and it shows. Rough wasn't too penal and it wasn't too difficult to get your club on the ball. Sand traps were nice with great sand in them. Greens were nice and rolled true, they were really fast on the downhill puts. It rained on and off for a little bit then came down hard on the 18th hole. I would definitely come back and try to beat my score.

Rode the Blues (6546/71.5/126) on a GN "Hot Deal" mid day in 4H, 45M. Dreadful POP. Sunny, calm and around 100, but the course was surprising busy when I arrived. Played with 3 millennials on the front, they quit after 9 because of the POP. Joined by Tom on the back. We would often be up to the next tee box before the 4some in front of us had finished hitting. And there was no one for several holes in front of them? Marshall was just oblivious when I told him on 17 how far behind they were and how long we were waiting in between shots. Have now played here 3 times over the years. Once in November, it was mediocre. In July heat it was in terrible condition. So wanted to give it a try in "prime" season. Glad I did, it was in surprisingly decent condition after the bare and overgrown conditions I experienced during the hot part of last summer. I have been told that the HOA acquired the golf course and are putting $$$ into it. Their efforts show. Traditional older desert course where the holes are almost all surrounded on both sides by condo's or duplexes. Fairly wide open layout with a few tight tee shots. Two lakes on 10/14 that were dry last summer have water again, so aesthetically, the course looks much better. Tees were decent, good coverage. Fairways had good coverage and were decent to play from. Rough was clumpy, mowed low, very hit and miss. One of my playing partners was a member of the HOA, and he said they are planning on replanting grass where all the "turf reduction areas" currently are. Sand traps around the greens were very hit and miss. Several looked decent, many were crusty. Waste bunkers are basically just let go, you are probably drawing a poor lie. Greens putted medium fast and were firm. Smooth, but would not hold irons or chips because of the firmness. Clubhouse open, friendly staff. No on course services. No water. All grass driving range with complementary balls looked decent. Basic carts do not have GPS. Recommended as a good budget alternative.

Greens were firm, smooth and medium fast. Very well maintained, with nicely cut apron and first cut around the greens.
Bunkers were excellent, plenty of sand and all maintained and raked.
Played with a couple of PD Resort homeowners and they indicated course is now owned by residents and is managed by Landmark.
Very pleasantly surprised and wanted to give the course a little love. Noticed many grounds crew, working on details around bunkers. Appears much more effort to bring the course up to spec, is underway.
Enjoy now.

Rode the Blues (6546/71.5/126) on a GN "Hot Deal" mid day in 3H. Sunny, calm and around 105, but the course was surprising busy when I arrived. Traditional older desert course where the holes are almost all surrounded on both sides by condo's or duplexes. Vanilla layout, fairly wide open with a few tight tee shots. Not bad, just not overly memorable. I last played here 4 1/2 years ago and the course had just went through a turf reduction, turning large areas of rough into waste bunkers. At that time, the new huge waste areas had nice sand that was cleaned up and looked like they had spent alot of time/$$$ in doing so. I was told by two employees that the place recently changed management/ownership and the new people are looking to restore things. They have their work cut out for them, because it looks like whoever has NOT been maintaining the course the last 6+ months has about run it into the ground. Tees were horrible. Anything from hardpan, to dead grass to whole tees that were primary rough length. Many had definitely not been mowed in recent memory. Fairways were bad. About 1/3 thin grass, 1/3 dead grass and 1/3 hardpan with very occasional lush areas. Rough was terrible. About 1/3 thin grass, 1/3 hardpan and 1/3 lost ball rough. It takes a while for Bermuda to get 6+" tall, the places where they had the deep grass was last mowed probably months ago? Sand traps around the greens did not look like they had been maintained in months. Thin sand with Bermuda runners 1-2' long creeping in from all sides. The waste bunkers that were nice 4 1/2 years ago had not been touched in a very long time. Native brush and tumbleweed everywhere, they looked like unmaintained desert. Two lakes were dry and evidently have been for a long time, because they had bushes taller than me growing in them. Bermuda greens looked nice and appeared to be the only part of the course they were actively maintaining. Fairly flat but were about the length of the fringe/aprons on most courses. Some of the slowest greens I have putted on in a long time. The fringe was so long you could see the blades of grass blowing in the wind, primary rough length. Clubhouse closed, currently being renovated. Customer service was excellent from all people encountered, very friendly staff. No on course services. No water or divot mix available. Basic carts do not have GPS. Over the years, I have played well over 50 courses in the Greater Palm Springs area. The vast majority are usually in good to very good condition, many are frequently in immaculate condition. Only two courses have I played multiple times at different times of the year that were consistently in such poor condition that I now avoid them. Mesquite and Cathedral Canyon. Palm Desert Resort is bucking to be added to that short list. I played for less than $1 a hole, shot tied for my second lowest round of the year and I absolutely would not play here again until after fall over seeding. I am hopeful that the new owners will do a good job on over seeding and get some decent grass here again. But I will not be coming back until I see several favorable reviews from people I trust.

This course is like Rio Hondo, or Montebello, or Los Serranos located in the desert.

Good condtions at a reasonable price. Not that hard of a course from the white tees but if you play it from the back tees you will be challenged. 18th hole is one of the most unusual finishing holes anywhere.

Nice alternative to the more expensive courses in the area.

Greens rolled true but were a bit slow. Left a bunch of putts 3 or 4 inches short. Bunkers were awesome! Soft fluffy sand. Great to hit from. I wonder how well it will fair if we have a hot summer but for now very playable at a good price!

Played 5/8/18, first time out on this course. This is a standard Palm Springs residential course, flat lands, running through a housing development. Now that disclaimer is out, this place is a great bargain. It is a fun course, very wide fairways, with water hazards to keep you honest.

Conditions - you can see the focus is getting the greens and fairways into top shape. Success! Tees/fairways/greens are in great shape. The greens may have been the second best I have seen lately in terms of grass coverage and smoothness. However, they are SLOW, SLOW, SLOW! It was very difficult to adjust to the speed. Through six holes, I was 1 under for GIR (hit every green, including a par 5 in 2), and my score was +3. Yikes! Later this afternoon, I played LQ Mountain. Their greens were much tougher and faster, and I putted much better there.

This would be a good course for a local to play regularly. It's in great condition, and a really enjoyable layout. Quite a bargain.
