Played here 7/21/18 with a tee time that was supposed to be 6:30 but was moved to 7:10 because of a last minute tournament added. POP was terrible. Our foursome took 6.5 hours!!! because we were stuck behind 2 foursomes on every hole from the tournament. Golf pro did tell us about it but said it we wouldnt hit them until the back 9 which was far from true. we played holes 7-18 behind the tournament. Why in the world he held us 40 min from teeing off was beyond us. Everyone was beyond mad in my group and they all demanded we receive a comp round. The clubhouse was very good about this and gave us each a comp'd round there. I was satisfied. In regards to the conditions of the course, EXCELLENT! Greens were in great shape, tee boxes were level and fairways were beautiful and lush green even given the hot temperatures they are doing a great job watering and keeping everything nice. Was only in one sand trap but sand seemed to be white and fluffy. Saw the cart girl 3 times and she was quite good looking and friendly. Enjoyed everything about this course except how long it took. We Paid $77 but received the free round because of how long it took so 38.50 is a great deal for this course! ha!

Played Fri Jun 8th at 730, had breakfast at corkies as usual, first 4 holes started out slow but the 3 some in front of us played at a good pace and got a good half a hole on us. The course was just what I expected, tee boxes were ok, thin fairways that just ran and got you in trouble, greens were ok, It was very frustrating to see so many cart path only holes when you usually can drive out there, I only play here once a year and this course takes allot of course knowledge of where to hit and how far to hit because the fairways run, example my friend hit 3 wood on 18 20 yards away from the water and it rolled in, this is a little too penal for the average golf IMHO, other holes have similar issues but not with water. I was not thrilled with the food afterwards just so so for the price.

Played Eagle Glen for the first Time at high noon on Sat 5/18 on a GN hot deal time. had a GN gift card so the round cost me less than 30 bucks. played the tips along w/ a 3 some who played the blues. the pace of play was atrocious as they had a tourney w/ TTs from 8:10 to 10 am and it just got everything off of track. only thing worse than the pace of play was 1 of the 3 traps on the 13th hole, it was unplayable and embarrasing to see on a golf course. the layout itself is okay, but i could see how some people would find the course tricked up. luckily the guys i played w/ told me a couple lines to take off the tee. i also think the course played shorter than the yardage. greens picked up pace as day went on and sun came out more and more to dry them out. needless to say, this course is not worth the drive out from LA unless you're playing it super cheap and super early, which is an increasingly rare combination. back to pace of play, after a couple calls into the proshop from the course by yours truly, a marshall did come out there to say he's trying to move groups along but that the whole course was like out of position. the back 9 did move a touch quicker, but not quick enough. i understand part of this is when i teed off, but still not acceptable. lesson learned, play early! anyways, last thing on eagle glen, pick your tees not on handicap, but more on how far you hit the ball. if you're the rare non single digit who hits it 270+ off tee and uses 8 iron or less from 150, play the tips. if not, from my perspective, you'd be hitting good drives through the fairway into trouble too often.

Hard to add much to the most recent reviews by David & Andrew. Very thorough, almost like a short novel. Because I played so early, the greens still retained a lot of moisture and were not all that fast, even the few down hill putts, but still quick enough to warrant one's attention. Agree that some of the fairways could use some attention. In two bunkers and both were just fine.

Fun golf course with enough of a challenge to retain your interest, but still a course where you can put up a decent number.

Played in a GK Cup match with AndrewZ28 on Sunday, 4/15/18. His recent review is very informative and hits all the major points. Day started warm and sunny, but clouds and wind rolled in just after noon and the afternoon was cooler and blustery. First tee was slammed and we started 25 minutes late, then overall pace was 4:40. We didn’t feel pushed by the group behind, but endemic poor shots resulted in not catching the group ahead.

Greens were generally good with some scattered thin areas, but mostly receptive. All greens had scattered old and newer marks. Downhill putts toward the east, away from the hills, could be terrifyingly fast. Fairways were thin and tight and very firm, and more often than not a solid drive would not be rewarded with a good lie. Rough along fairways was short, dry and pretty benign; around the greens it could be a little bushier. Tees were OK, but most par-3s didn’t have divot mix containers. I was in one bunker – greenside #10 had only a thin sand layer over a packed base.

A rumored marshal was never seen. The divot mix refill rack at the 10th green was empty, as it has been every time I play here. All holes had lots of unfilled divots in fairways and rough. Cart girl came around a few times. The golf shop had noticeably less merchandise than on my last visit. A new trailer snack bar has been placed on the 2nd/11th tees, providing convenience but also increasing noise on those nearby tees.

I enjoy the layout at EG and conditions here are generally good. Today I seemed to find every slopey lie and uneven stance, but that was mostly due to poor ball-striking. Still recommended.

Played Eagle Glen yesterday (Sunday,, 4/15) at 10:40 AM in my GK Cup match with DConnally.

Found a GN Hot Deal for $60 a player which I felt was a pretty good deal for that time of day on a weekend. The course was really busy yesterday (starter mentioned 175 on the tee sheet to start the day) so we tee'd off 25 minutes past our time after being stacked 3 groups deep on the first tee. That being said, the Starter did a good job handling it. I could suspect that could get ugly.

This was my first time playing Eagle Glen and I was really looking forward to it. From past reviews and the pictures it looked like an interesting layout and beautiful setting and I felt both were very true. It's really cool being back in the valley there and you get some really cool views and shots throughout. Lots of elevation changes here but I don't think it gets overly gimmicky with the holes using more subtle drops and rises than big drops (although there are a couple). I feel like there's a good amount of local knowledge that would help here, but not so much that you can't get around the place your first time. The carts had solid GPS systems so that helped quite a bit.

As for the conditions, I'm going with mixed bag at best here. They did a small tine punch a couple weeks ago that the greens are completely healed from (in respect to holes). I did feel that while the greens were healthy, had great coverage and didn't show any holes from the punch, they just weren't that smooth and kind of had that leftover "graininess" you get from the punch and sand after aerification. That being said, if you hadn't played these greens before and got above the hole (especially downwind) they were super fast. Would be a blast playing these things if they were firm, smooth and fast.

I'm never particularly critical here because most of the time I'm out playing golf I'm just stoked to be there, but the fairway conditions at Eagle Glen leave a ton to be desired right now. They were punched recently enough to show and a couple times I had some issues with the ball sitting down, but where it got mostly difficult is the high level of bare lies out there as well as the overall firmness of the fairways. I absolutely LOVE a fast, firm course, but because of some of the hills it made it tricky. A couple drives rolled out into issues so just be aware of that when playing (practice a 200-210 yard shot off the tee and you'll be golden out here).

Tees were totally fine and the rough was non existent.

The guys in the shop were cool when checking in and saw the beverage cart multiple times and the gal driving was great. Good service all around.

POP after the rough start ended okay for a busy weekend. We finished in 4 hours 45 minutes after a front nine that took almost three hours.

I really thought the layout was a lot of fun at Eagle Glen and with a couple more weeks to let the spring maintenance take hold and I'd be glad to give it another shot out there. Lots of fun holes and options out there. Will be back.

Played on 4/1 Easter morning at 7:30 as a single. Course was pretty much empty except for a threesome I passed on hole 5. POP was a very relaxed 3:15. I haven't played here in a couple of years and was looking forward to the round. There must have been an outing the afternoon before as there were some styrofoam ice chests in the parking lot along with empty 12 pack boxes and numerous plastic cups. Staff was very friendly and got me out right away.

Tee Boxes - most were badly needing a good mowing. A few holes when teeing up for a 3 wood, the ball was still sitting sitting down in the grass. Tee boxes are level.

Fairways - Looks like they have punched the fairways and in the slots where the punching is done the grass is longer than a normal fairway, but still very playable. the non punched areas the ball sits nicely.

Greens - In perfect shape, was a blast putting on them. a little fast and holding well struck shots. A few divot marks here and there, but I have a feeling it's from the same guys that left the trash in the parking lot. Too bad they are punching them this week, because of how great of shape they are in. There was puddling on several greens on the front nine, but the flags were not placed even close to those spots.

Rough - non-existent, just a slight bit longer than the fairway.

Bunkers - the two that I was in had excellent sand. I did notice on trap, back left on nine looked like dirt and I'm not sure if it gets much play anyways. The front right bunker on 16 had a tremendous amount of sand in it. I noticed that one of the racks only the handle could be seen, so I placed my putting into the trap and with no pressure it sunk down about three inches. The trap was not very well racked, but I have a feeling its just too difficult to rake a trap that is that soft. They could have just added the sand and are still working on getting it set.

Overall I had a great time and enjoyed the course. Look forward to going back after the greens heal.

Our group changed our home course from Dos Lagos to Eagle Glen for this year and we played our first round at Eagle Glen today @ 8am as a 3some following a 4some and finished in exactly 4 hrs. Told last week by the head pro that they weren't going to aerify the greens in April but was told today that they are going to punch small holes on all the greens. I will provide an update when it happens. Maybe due to the recent rains, the course looked much greener than expected. Most of the tees were hard but green and level. Most fairways had good green coverage but there were some spots where our ball was in the fairway but on hard pan dirt. Rough was spotty and generally in worse shape than the fairways. Most of the greenside bunkers had fresh white sand and was easy to hit out of. No complaints at all for the greens which were smooth, hard and rolled true. Not many ballmarks to be found on the greens this morning but also not easy to stop the ball either.
Overall, we enjoyed a good round on a course with nice scenic views, acceptable fairways and excellent greens. Recommended.

Played Fri Mar 16th at 730 check in fast, no starter so we went to the tee at 720, found out that our 5 groups had an extra so we had to go out as a 5 some, don't like 5 somes, disrupt timing and flow. Our first guy hit then the starter drove up and said these guys had a 710 and they were going to put them after us in between our 5groups, well it was 730 by then, so they were 20 minutes late, must have been regulars since they got out anyway. We left them go ahead of us and it was at least nice to see they were faster players. Looking at the first fairway it looked like palm Springs, green fairway and brown rough. It was like that for the front nine, then the back nine where they were doing allot of tractor work on the fairways on the back, the greens were good, held shots hit high, were on the fast side on down hill putts. The greens are large and many time difficult to putt and no exception for me today. Lunch "OK" I think I got spoiled with the restaurant at los serranos. The highlight of the day was Dave, the guy that puts our OFG together had his first ACE on hole 10. That was cool
