Played yesterday morning. Breathtaking views of the valley and mountains surrounding the course. Provides challenges of all kinds. The front plays flat while the back is in the hills. Will play again many times but will call ahead to find out if aeration is being done. The greens were sandy and some fairways were still being punctured making play a bit difficult. When done, the course will again be a great place to play.

This course plays shorter than 6930 yards. While there are some uphill holes and approaches, half of the holes here are downhillers. They may play much shorter than the what the yardage indicates, but they are not necessarily very easy. Due to the very firm greens any approach shot or pitch is very difficult to gauge the correct distance, especially if you throw in some wind. It is very obvious to see that putts will break towards the 15 freeway. Other than the fairways being a little thin and dry this is a nice course. The customer service here was excellent. I'll be back!

I was impressed with the course. It's a nice layout with solid holes. The wind picked up quite a bit which makes this course extremely difficult. The greens are a highlight; they're very fast and true. The fairways are the only weakness with some burn spots and wet patches but nothing that unfairly altered my shot selection. Overall I think the course is excellent and will play there again soon!

This place does hold a special place in my heart. I love the layout, the views, the mix of short and long holes. The people are all very nice and Troon Golf does a great job of running everything. The conditions of the greens right now are absolutely superb. Very fast, cut tight and rolling really nice. The #2 green has suffered some damage due to all the rain, but what course hasn't suffered some? However, the one thing that continues to baffle me about this place is the fairways. The rough is very lush and trim but the fairways are all burned out, thin, and patches of dead grass everywhere?! I don't get it. Everything about this course is outstanding except for the fairways. What is going on here???? It actually saddens me because I LOVE Eagle Glen and will always come back. But why oh why doesn't the grass in the fairways ever take and become green and lush like they were 2 or 3 years ago? It will always remain a mystery to me I guess. How can this course, with Troon Golf behind it, superbly maintain its greens, rough, and tee boxes but not the fairways?? That's like having a Porsche 911 Twin-Turbo with 14" rims. Kinda funny lookin' and it doesn't match. Well, enough said. You get the picture. Guess this was a case of hurting the one you love. Eagle Glen, you're still special to me. I'll be back.

Played 36 holes March 30th. Greens were just aerate and very hard. Tees boxes need work also. Fairway was good but rough was too long. Sand was hard as dirt. Cart girl only came around 3 times in 36 holes, I was dying of thirst out there. Even though it was a rough, I still enjoyed the layout, I hope they fix the course up soon.

Played here on 3/20/05. Course has taken a beating after recent heavy rains but has not suffered noticeable damage except for cart path between 16-17. This is an enjoyable lay-out and there aren't that many golfers even on a Saturday during peak. What up? Greens are soft and in pretty fair shape. Fairways are always pretty, but the ball plays fair.

What a diffrence a few weeks makes. The rough was just cut due to the rains but still thick and dangerous. It felt like US Open rough. Wide blade grasses that stopped your swing. There were two greens (2 & 10) with water on them from the natural drainage, but did not come into play with the pin locations. This place is in great shape. The pace of play was 3.5 hours. Take an extra club or 2 out of the rough until it is cut back down to normal.

Course is in bad condition that I assume because of the recent rains. But the scenery is great in the hilly front 9, even with the back 9 flat land. Even saw Bambi with her 2 small bambis crossing our fairway. Just the scenery is worth going back. This place, with its pricey green free, can really use GPS. Distance is not well marked, except for the 150 marker. Hard to locate a head for distance. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it with the 50% off golf extra.
