Great golf course. Some of the greens were the worse for wear. #5 green was really beat up. But, it's a fabulous place to play. EZ to walk. Cheap. Great conditions.

Played the Goose for the first time Saturday 11/25. I used the GK site to research a course that would be above average and in good shape, reasonably priced, and equidistant from the other half of our foursome, travelling from Orange county. On paper, it matched up very well. Anticipating a busy holiday golf weekend, it also helped that they allow reservations weeks in advance for an extra $5 per person, so I was able to secure the outing well ahead of time. As it was, they never charged the extra fin, which was a nice touch. Played from the whites and in a nutshell, everyone came away very pleased with the course and expressed the desire to come back and play it again. As has been noted repeatedly, it is a well kept course that is basically flat, but with a nice rolling character to it. Easy walking but visually interesting. More often than not, the fairways are very generous and forgiving, although their are a couple of exceptions. Offsetting the forgiving and open nature of the fairways is the fact that if you do find the bordering reed/bamboo hazards that line much of the course, kiss the ball goodbye because you will be very lucky to find it. You can rummage around for a bit and probably find a ball or two someone else lost earlier, then go back and take your penalty. The greens were in good shape and medium fast -- a nice speed. The only drawback was that we had a couple of groups ahead of us that were particularly slow. According to the marshall, record slow. He was able to speed them up on the back nine. Otherwise the course was not particulary crowded. The #1 handicap 18th hole is a real challenging finish that will definitely get your attention. For my various puposes, the course was exactly what I hoped for on the day.

Played on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, great day alittle bit chilly early. Goose Creek is a course you can count on to be in very good to excellent condition, with outstanding customer service. The practice area is second to none, and when hitting balls at the range you will see almost new balls constantly. Wish other courses would follow the Goose Creek lead and provide good teeing areas on driving range, with balls that don't look like they have been run over by a mower. This is truly one of the best managed golf course in the Inland Empire, maybe all of So. Cal.

Played here 11/17/06. Had not been back here for almost a year and I must say it appears that the Goose has lost it's luster. Upkeep appears to have slipped just a little. Greens had many bare spots and were painfully slow. Fairways and traps were in decent shape but overall I was slightly disappointed with what is one of my favorite courses in the area. Pace of play was the lone positive as we finished in just over 4 hours on a Friday afternoon. Almost forgot, make sure you bring you flyswatter because they are out of control right now. I have never seen so many flies in my life.

I've played Goose Creek several times and have never been disappointed with the conditions. This is a very forgiving course on most holes since most have pretty wide fairways. The greens tend to play faster than most S. California courses of similar price/quality. All the par 3s play at least 180 from the blues, which make them interesting for the average golfer.
