Played 6/10. The course is in great condition; I've seen its greens faster but no complaints. Removed the big tree that used to guard the front right side of the green on #4, but pulled my shot left anyway. Weekend green fee is now up to $71! Wasn't it $55 just 2-3 years ago? I'm not complaining about the $ amount, but the rate of increase. And they haven't "enhanced" the course in any way. Must be the gas price. Guess the carts do run on gas. What, they're electric carts? Right, because they also raised green fees for walkers. The cows next door must've kept their fiber intake to a minimum - barely smelled it. Will play again - if somebody pays for me. Slow down, Goose Creek.

Played 6/17, tee time at 730 am. After a little slow start (back up at the 2nd hole) my foursome finished in 4 1/2 hrs. The course is in excellent shape. Greens are a little slow, thanks to the mgr. for the heads up before our round, saved me a few putts. As always goose creek didn't let me down and had a great round with my dad.

RUDE OLD MAN TO PEOPLE ON THE PHONE & THEN TO ME. HE NEEDS TO WORK ON HIS PEOPLE SKILLS. IF I'M GOING TO PAY $80 DOLLARS I WOULD EXPECT TO BE TREADED BETTER. HE NEEDS TO SPEND A DAY AT TRUMP OR MONARCH BEACH SO HE COULD LEARN HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE. STILL A NICE COURSE CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF.

Played on 5/02 and the course has definitely recovered from aeration and can be rated a 4-star experience. The greens, fairways, tee boxes, rough, and bunkers are in currently in pristine condition. The length of the course is perfect, for me, from the tips with just enough challenge to making posting a good score very rewarding. My favorite feature of the course is the excellent mix of its par 4 holes. I am not a long driver of the golf ball but do carry a single digit handicap. It is nice to be able to play a few middle to short irons to the greens rather than a long iron or wood all day. The only thing keeping this course from being a 5-star for me are the par 3 holes. There are five and they all play about the same. With five it would have been nice to see a better variety with regard to club choice. All play between 170-185 yards with the exception of 16 which is a whomping 210 yards requiring a major 3-wood or stinger driver from this senior golfer. Still this is a very minor complaint since this is one of the choicest tracks around.

I played on Tuesday, 4/25, and "The Goose" is in absolutely fantastic shape for a reasonably priced public golf facility. Tee boxes are tight and firm, Fairways are immaculate, and the greens are healthy and receptive. They're on the slow side, but putt pretty true.

Overall, a wonderful experience right now, and I highly recommend it.

Played the Goose today, and it was awesome, as usual. Everything about this place is what every golf course should strive to be. From the guys in the pro shop smiling and taking care of you (thanks Butch!), to the people in the snack bar, to the starter telling you to enjoy your day, to the overall condition of the golf course, this place is very down-to-earth and very welcoming. A true stand-up, honest facility. With the threat of rain, the winds picked up and challenged you on every shot and putt. A great, great day to challenge the course and your game. Keep up the good work guys!! I love the Goose!!

Played on 3/15 and man was the course in excellent condition. They had some sort of Senior PGA qualifying on Monday the course was perfect. They keep this track in very good shape, and it has a good variety of holes, except for the par 3 holes, five of them. Four play almost to the same yardage, but the rest of the holes are interesting and challenging. A first class experience provided by the staff and facilities.
