Played a couple times the last two weeks, conditions in general are average but consistent. Greens continue to be the best feature, holding well struck shots, soft bounces and reasonable rollout on those with less spin. Pitted very well at medium/fast speed. Was in a couple fairway bunkers, they are hard pan dirt, the couple gree side were a pleasant surprise - good amount of actual sand and played nicely. Rough around the greens varies from moderate to quite lush, fairway rough is pretty patchy. Fairways are decent, some better than others, can get some lies that are nestled down between patches or pretty thin. Tees need some leveling and filling but if you back up a yard or so it's usually ok - exceptions are the par 3's which are pretty chewed up. Pace of play runs about 4:15-4:20 - not great but not horrible (depends a lot on how courteous those in front are). Rates are quite reasonable especially if you join their email list - this last weekend they had a last minute special with rates at $32 for 9:00 am. This is a fun course with a good variety of holes - a couple short risk/reward par 4's, couple reachable par 5's, several holes where strategy may be more important than distance, challenging but not overly long par 3's. Considering the price vs condition it is easily recommended.

Played today, 10/12/15 as a walk-on single. Frost delay until just before 7:30 but the guy in the shop was great, got me out in front of the regular Thursday senior group. Nicely done! POP was 3:20 but I could have easily cut 20-30 minutes off - once I was clear of everyone behind me I took the time to do a little practicing by re-hitting shots and/or a different strategy

This is the 4th time I've played here in the last seven weeks and the course is steadily improving. Fairways were good coverage in most places, still a little thin in some but easily playable. Tee boxes were generally good though the par 3's are pretty chewed up, also there's about 3 that need some leveling. Rough varied, some thin, others areas the ball would sit down - more so around the greens than anywhere else.

There are working on the bunkers, weeks in most have been removed and saw one of the workers with a big load of sand that was going into several of the green side ones. This was one of the weakest parts of the course and it's nice to see it being addressed.

As usual, the greens are the best part of the course and noticeably better than a few weeks ago. Still a little soft (if you spin your approach shots you can get some nasty ball marks!) but starting to firm up some - speed was probably about a 9+ when I started and a good solid 10 once they dried out. Rolled the best I've experienced in a long time, very good with essentially zero bounce.

While still a long way from what it was, this is the best I've seen it in at least 2-3 years. Conditions currently compare quite well to Soboba (the measuring stick around here) and the layout is enjoyable and relatively friendly for higher handicap/shorter hitters. Given their rate structure it's definitely worth playing.

This is kind of a composite review covering 3 recent rounds. Played 10/14, also played the week before and again 2 weeks before that.

Overall, I am seeing continual improvement in the conditions - not always fast, but steady. Greens were soft but rolled true, a little faster the last 2 weeks, getting smoother and more consistent. There are stll a few tee boxes with low/high or soft spots and a fare amount of divot damage on the par 3's but nothing major. Bunkers are still the biggest weakness - weeds growing in most and fairly hard - on the other hand drives will often roll out and/or jump over the lip so take the good with the bad. Rough has grown in, some places it's "pitch out and try to make par the hard way" thick.

Biggest issue the last 2 weeks was POP - this week was 4:25 but seemed like a lot longer since we were stuck behind the Senior Men's club waiting on about 80% of our shots. Week before was a smidge quicker but not much. Late morning or early twilight can often be as quick as 3:-3:15.

While it's unlikely it will ever get back to the "Landmark" condition it had years ago, it's a fun course with lots of variety. Given the price point, it's definitely worth it.

Played 8/12 on a GN deal for $13, got paired up with "Terry" who was great to play with (and tried to recruit him to the site).

I was quite pleasantly surprised by the conditions. Fairways weren't lush but more than adequate, tees were level and in good condition (exception - #4, short par 3), rough was patchy in places tee-to-green, around the greens it was fairly lush and dense. Greens still have some damage issues but all but a couple were in areas that wouldn't affect play (exception - #18, still has some damage from an oil leak from a mower, but dramatically better than my last time here).

Bunker sand is still an issue, basically just hard pan for fairways and marginally better around the greens (solution - don't hit it in the bunkers! lon). POP was excellent, never saw anyone in front of us the entire round, had a twosome behind us for the first couple holes but left them behind after #3 - both of us hit an occasional 2nd ball for practice and we finished in about 3:05..

Sign up for their email club and you can get their weekly specials - definitely worth the money at their regular rates and HIGHLY recommended if you can get a discounted price.

The course was not busy with all the rain, lightning and thunder - we're just idiots for starting play in it! Called the pro shop after fours holes in the poor weather conditions and we were told they would give us a voucher for NINE HOLES? Not cool!!!!!!!!! The greens here are always pretty good along with the tee boxes, the rest of the course is in marginal condition, (LIKE the attitude of the ownership here)!! The price of the green fees is what brings many people out to the lovely Hemet Valley. Remember, you usually get WHAT you pay for!!

I last played here just after they opened. (Under Landmark Golf at the time) I was not all that impressed with the course, but after playing today, I really enjoyed the course. While the conditioning was not great and certainly nothing like I remember it being all those years ago, I found the overall layout very appealing. It's too bad that the course has been allowed to lose it's "luster", (Much like Moreno Valley ranch which was once a premier track) but maybe there just isn't enough demand for a higher end course in that area and thus can not command the green fees to permit/justify the manicured conditions which this course one enjoyed?

The staff was perfect, pace was perfect (first off so not an issue) and I found the experience to be much better than expected. I will return again sooner than later

Played 6/10, walked on and got out immediately as a single, used the email club Super Wednesday for a rate of $25 incl. cart. POP was roughly 3 hours & 20 minutes, but that included waiting on a couple different groups until they let me through and playing extra shots. Eliminate those and I could have easily been done in under 3 hours.

Course is in the best condition I’ve seen in a LONG time. Now, don’t confuse this with being in really good condition, or compare it to what this place used to be like – those days are long gone. However, when compared against 2-3 years ago it has improved significantly in what I think are the two most important areas – quality of the greens and consistency throughout the course.

Now for the details. Fairways were a little thin with mixed grasses - never had a super tight lie nor one I would call “cushy” but consistent from hole-to-hole. Rough is a mixed bag ranging from almost non-existent to fairly thick and dense. Bunkers near greens were adequate at best and quite heavy with water – fairway bunkers were even harder (but the flipside is they’re pretty easy to get out of).

Tee areas were pretty worn, definitely time to move the markers. One odd quirk – on many holes the markers were placed fairly close to each other (side to side, not from whites to blues) which contributed to how worn they were – just wasn’t much room to work with.

Now to the best part – the greens were in the best shape I’ve seen in at least 3 years. Even the number of ball marks was noticeably less than I expected (that’s always been a big issue at this course). They held shots very well, putted quite true and rolled pretty much the same over the entire course (another issue they previously struggled with). Speed could have been a little quicker from my perspective but that’s a personal thing – probably will need to keep the just a tad longer (and therefore slower) as the temps go up. Only bad spot is 18 – it’s still recovering from some damage – looks like they ran a mower across and back that was leaking oil (or it could have been vandalism).

It’s always been a fun track with a lot of variety between holes – given the current condition and pricing it’s definitely worth playing.

Enjoy this course with its variety of holes. Fairly wide open, a few holes with elevation changes mix it up a bit. The waterholes have been either overgrown with tall vegetation or very low levels. Course was a bit wet with an early 8am tee time, so they're pumping water on it.
All but one green was in pretty good condition, (the bad one looked liked maybe their lawn mower leaked gasoline over it having 5 or 6 three inch wide streaks of no grass from end to end). All the others were in good shape, but ran medium to slow. Shots held pretty good.
Plenty of fairway bunkers to maneuver, being fairly hardpan. A couple of the green side traps I witnessed had some real nice soft, thick sand, (but can't say for all).
Fairly nice go-to course, but not on the glamorous side.
Get on their email list to take advantage of the occasional deals.

Tee Boxes needed some help by moving the tee markers around, it was evident that they hadn't been moved in a few days but still could find a spot. Fairways were not pristine by any means however there were few bare spots that I saw and the ball was sitting pretty good. Greens were medium to slow on putts and very grainy, keeping it firm was a must.
Greens were holding most shots, a little inconsistent. Bunkers- fairway traps were hard dirt,
Greenside traps had plenty of soft sand to hit from, even plugged one. Course has various dog legs a few elevation changes, some water holes, a few dried up hazard areas, generous fairways. Not a lot of trouble to get into. Worth the $25. The Range is across the street so if you need to use it leave a little extra time!
