Rained overnight/early morning so there were some unusually wet/muddy areas, but overall the course is in decent shape. #7 green was punched and sanded, but all others were ok - speed was still decent, especially considering the rain and not being mowed - greens are definitely the best part of the course. Fairways are patchy - some areas nice, some thin, some bare spots. Sand is still lousy, should be labeled dirt traps.

It's doubtful they'll ever get this place close to what it was when it opened, but the pricing ranges from good to excellent for what you get - a decent course with a handful of above average holes and (usually) good POP.

Played here today 2/26 with fellow GK'er adigitalg87. The price was basically free. The course, well its not so good. Still fun.

Walked on as a single, paired up with a twosome on the first tee, they decided to get something to eat at the turn so ended up joining a second twosome for the back nine. Teed off just after 1:00, POP was slower than usual, probably due to people trying to play before the holiday, ended up playing “braile” golf the last 2 holes (hmmmm, that one sounded left). Course was in decent shape, greens a little slow but consistent. Sand was as usual (hard, packed and mostly dirt), rough varies in length and thickness, fairways are spotty in places, but still a good value for the price.

Played 10/30 and 10/23 - greens in particular and entire course in general better second time around. POP was good, started at 1:50pm, finished at 5:00 - very good value, total cost of $16 including the booking charge as a "hot" tee time.

Rough is still very "hit and miss" and some fairways are the same. Bunkers are still more hard-packed dirt than sand - makes it tough to around the green, but fairway bunkers are pretty easy to hit from (not to mention how drives can roll through and out the other side!).

Biggest issues here: 1) Poor practice facilities. Driving range is across the street, balls are pretty poor quality and they hand them to you in plastic grocery shopping bags. Practice green has improved A LOT but is still nothing like those on the course. with poor quality balls. 2) It seems like they want to maintain the condition as "just good enough" to keep people playing given the pricing structure. I played this course when it first opened and it was in pretty nice shape - haven't seen anything that close the last several years. Too bad because it's a very playable course for all levels, one where people of widely differing abilities can all have fun yet not significantly impact the POP of others.

Course in its usual shape....okay. Front nine greens had recent work and were still heavily sanded and very slow. The back nine greens were in great shape with a couple bare spots here and there. Fairways always seem to be hit and miss, depending on where you hit it! Some fairways in great shape and others with crabgrass and hard pan. Pace of play is always good and staff usually friendly and helpful. The weekend rates are a definite draw for a quick round of fairly good golf.

played sunday early A.M. course is in good condition. Ive seen this course at its best and worst. Today it was average. seems to be improving. But only $39 with sandwich, not bad, greens o.k., tees and fairways o.k. sand traps actually had sand in them.

I only gave staff an average. the guy in pro shop great. the snack bar guy not so great. the coupon for free sandwich said free fountain drink, but he didn' t agree. to bad. I threw a two dollar tip in his jar before i asked for the drink. I should have reached in and took it back out.

Played here kinda last minute on 9/13.. not bad at all, worth the green fee.

fairways are spotty but playable, nothing to complain about. Some tee boxes could use some attention.. but greens remain very good and roll and hold very good. I'll be going back soon.

Played a week ago on July 24, conditions are MUCH better than they were in February as described by raidernationkennels. Fairways still have a few marginal spots, same with the rough, and bunkers still need more sand, but it’s definitely worth the price given the rates. Greens were very good and rolled much better than those on either Morongo course. Pace of play was slow to start but picked up after the turn. Overall, an enjoyable day of golf for a very reasonable price.

Played here on 2/28/13, greens were in great shape, pace of play was ok.. fairways were the worst i've seen in a while, huge spots of dirt on the fairways and tee boxes... $15 course at best
