played 4/22/14 Conditions overall were very good. A short course, with many elevation changes. Fairway grass was slow, so little run-out, but quite full and the ball sat up nicely. (I'd expect that during summer and dryer conditions this might change.)
Many were very wide and funneled shots to the center. With elevation changes greens were often unseen and larger than expected. The greens were very moist and soft, putting was slow and breaks weren't as sever as expected (on longer putts you'll get more than one break). Pace was c: 5 hours and comfortable, no beverage cart and limited water stations.
A very acceptable option in the Riverside area.

followed a four some and finished in under 4 hrs. good day for golf in a good golfer friendly setting. well worth the hour drive.

I have seen this course in a lot better shape. Very thin fairways and rough (cannot distinguish between the 2) about 5 greens have a fungus or they just are messed up as they have dirt patches all thr... Continue »

Very thin fairways and rough (cannot distinguish between the 2) about 5 greens have a fungus or they just are messed up as they have dirt patches all through them. Some of the fairways are partially hard dirt. Hopefully it's just the weather and it will get better this summer

Greens are excellent right now. Holding shots, rolling great, and are quite quick. The rest of the course is a bit above typical muni shape with some burned out patches here and there and divot damage on the par 3 tee boxes. But for $33 the greens alone are worth it. Always have liked coming out here to play this course and will definitely make it out again at some point.

Played 10/17/13. Greens were just awesome! Holding and putting very true. Fairways were in good shape, new sand in bunkers, nice and fluffy. Teeboxes were not that great, but they were working on them so that's a good sign. Definitely worth the 29$ green fee we received from booking on their website. Haven't been there in about 20 years, but I miss it. Trees have gotten bigger and more full since then and create more of a challenge

Just do not understand why they can not mow the rough consistently at one height. A lot of dirt just off of fairways, but the fun part is dodging the water sprinklers for the first 6 holes. Played at ... Continue »

Played at 7 so I don't know why the watering. Some fairways have hard pan. I did have fun and will be going back.

had sprinklers going off on 3 holes, but avoidable.

It was enjoyable. I would play this course again.

7/25/13-Tee Time 7:20 - 2-some. We play every week somewhere in Riverside or San Bernardino counties. This one is always one of our favorites. Challenging every time. Just when you think you can bounce one onto the green from 60-100 yards out, you find out that the grass is like Velcro. Gotta hit the green. Greens are challenging to read. Optical illusions will sometimes baffle you. This time when I played, I did not have a "sand" shot, so I cannot really review the quality of the bunkers. The other player hit into 2 or 3, and had trouble getting out. Probably because he didn't strike the ball correctly. Love this course for its character. The pro shop staff is friendly, and will do their best to get you out on time. It's a popular course. The snack bar is outstanding. We each had the Tuna Salad sandwich. Ever had a sandwich like that, that is about 1 1/2 inches thick? Well, prepare thyself. Good food, friendly service. Don't charge for coffee refills, either. Love the place.

Played Jurupa Hills for the first time today. Have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. Nice place to work on your game. Greens slow but held most shots, fairways decent. Kikuya made it tough at times, you don't want to be in the rough. Rate was great for a Senior $29. Long drive for someone like me who lives in Orange County but as I said it was very pleasant. Nice staff, may play it again sometime.
