Played our Monthly tournament here on Sat 7/10. The course is in exceptional condition right now, lush and green. There is some areas where the mowers cut too low and what looks like dry areas are yellow from the close cutting, but the ball rolled really well. Tee boxes were in very good shape, the rough was difficult to get out of but manageable. Two bunkers I was in had very good sand, although some clowns still don;t know about raking after getting out, even with 2 or 3 rakes in plain sight. Greens were lush but could have used a cut or dressing, rolled a bit on the slow side on some holes others were moderately fast. Not too many ball marks but still some don't fix them.

Overall it was enjoyable and challenging. As usual it was a 5 hr tournament round, could have been faster but 4some ahead of us were on the slow side, lot of ball hunting but we slowed our play down to avoid long delays on the tee box. They stopped for lunch at the turn, starter had us play through only to run into another slower group ahead. Customer Service was great, all personnel were eager to make our round enjoyable. Especially Lynne the bartender at Rico's Cantina. Pleasing to the eye, great personality, let us taste a couple of boutique beers before we ordered pitchers.

What a gem of a course!! Great challenging layout where no two holes are like. Tight fairways and undulating greens allow for alot of risk/reward-type shots. Plus alot of the architecture and scenery was pleasing to the eye! Truly one of the best in Riverside County, and will definitely be back!!

This is a GREAT Daily fee course! Pace of play good. Played the other day with JohnnyGK and SBogey!!! It was a perfect day topped off with perfect golf conditions. Too bad my game did not show up the whole round, just your occassional good shot peppered with bad ones. The course however was a different story. Greens are undulating. That is being kind. Talk about wicked breaks from tier to tier and fast too! Greens though rolled very true. The area between tiers could be used to run up your ball with aggressive approach shots. Sand is good, well stocked. Fairways.... perfect. Rough.... THICK! Expect an extra club out of that junk so stay away! I like the layout of this course. Not gimicky like some of the ones I have played lately. What you see is what you get, no suprises over the next rise. I like that. I also like the fact if you play smart your shots are rewarded. You do not need your driver every hole. And you will use almost every club in your bag so be sure you bring the clubs you are comfortable playing. Course conditions overall very, very good. I would play here again as time would permit. Staff is excellent -- very helpfull. They stock their pro-shop well (I forgot my shoes, oh well silly me. And I have hard to find size of 8.5 wide. )

This course is very pleasing to the eye and has only a couple hidden hazards. It's clear what you have to do so the challenge is doing it. The thing that really stands out are the greens. They can be diabolical at times but I could spend all day just putting on these greens. They run a little slower than I like but on downhill putts its a good thing. The 4 par 3's are each a unique challenge and a joy visually. If the course designer built a par 3 course I would wait in line to play it. If the greens don't kill you this course will provide an awesome experience to any level golfer.

First time playing Redhawk Golf Club – wow what have I been missing over the last 20 years of playing golf in Southern California…this course is impressive on all levels.

Teed it up with fellow GK’ers Ringworld and SBogey. We had a great time. The conditions from Tee to Green were fantastic, the Layout was visually stunning as well as challenging and entertaining, and the service in the restaurant, proshot, cart station and on course was excellent. I live 120 miles from this course and I will be returning to play it again within the year. If I lived within 60 miles of it, I would play here once per month. LOVE this course.

In detail, the playing conditions of the greens are perfect. These are very undulating, interestingly shaped, large and have severe sloped tiers. There was not a level putt out there and you have to bring ALL of your putting skills to handle them. They rolled smooth, fast (about an 10.5 stimp) and held shots like darts. Regarding the fairways they were firm, lush and provided excellent lies all day long. Regarding the rough, it was cut 1 to 2 inches adjacent from the fairways but green side and in the nasty grass bunkers it ranged 2 to 5 inches. This is THICK stuff if your ball is sitting down. Regarding the Sand Traps…and there are a ton of them greenside as well as off the fairways, they were well maintained although firm and thin for my taste. Lastly the tee boxes, excellent, lush, level and firm.

As good as the conditions were, my favorite aspect of the course is the layout. This is one wild ride that offers wide variety, challenge, unique shots and entertainment. I love the par 3’s and the visuals they present. Hole #8 is as beautiful as the photo. Uphill, down hill, dogleg left/right, forces carries over water, waste areas and sand, just take a look at the photos I just posted, this course has it all – Awesome!

Finally the service and people here are terrific. Friendly and professional. Not just on the course but in the small restaurant too which incidentally I had lunch and dinner at. Try the California Burrito or shredded chicken tacos – good authentic Mexican food.

Overall, I highly recommend playing Redhawk Golf Club and look very forward to my next round there.

Played Thurs. 4-8-2010 from 2-7 pm. Overall it was a great day for golf on a terrific course. The course was in very good condition, with hard, fast fairways and soft but fast greens. The one negative was the condition of the sand traps. Most had rather wet sand and were raked very poorly. Apparently some of the golfers earlier in the day were allergic to raking. I ended up moving my ball out of footprints a couple of times.
Service was excellent in the pro shop, at the starter booth, and on the course. Pace of play was much too slow on the front nine (3 hrs.), then much faster on the back (under 2 hrs.).

Very nice course. The greens were fast and firm, The fairways nice. Had a few 3 and 4 putts, and a few birds. Love the course.
