Played today on their May e-mail special. The greens were in fantastic shape, very fast but held the iron shots. Play was a bit slow but the course is in great shape. I'm just trying to figure out why its been a year since I've played here. Playing here again on Sunday.

agree with all reviews below,,, Redhawk is in great shape,, we played the blues, a mistake as we forgot we are getting a bit older, we hit maybe 240 yard drives and from the blues on some holes leaving us with 200 yards in,, way too tough as greens are protected nicely....,, Blues are 139 slope.. A great track,, just play the correct tees...
we will return and get revenge....

Played last week on annual spring golf trip. Course was in top-notch condition. Greens fast and in great shape. One of the best golf courses I have played for under $40. Wind is definately a factor on this course. This course is a must for all golfers who are looking for a challenging and picturesque golf course that will not empty out your wallet. My third year in a row playing Redhawk and can't wait to come back.

Played Redhawk this past weekend with some buddies for an annual golf outing. This is our 3rd time playing this course. It is always in great shape and the rates are always great. Exceptional value. The greens are challenging. Land your approach shot on the right level and you can 1 putt miss it and it could easily be a 3 putt. Fantastic Course would definitely recommend it.

Played for the first time March 8th. Pace of play was good and the marshall kept all groups moving. The course is well maintained and has a good layout. Par 3 elevation changes were interesting. $90 is a little steep with it being so far from LA, but we got a discounted rate that made it well worthwhile. Will play again.

You might want to wait a month to come here, as the greens are kinda slow from previous punching, although they look nice. Rough is punched currently with big dirt clods everywhere. Fairways are pre... Continue »

Fairways are pretty dormant. Tee boxes are great as well as the layout. I would recommend this place when it is at a better condition, but right now I'd stay away, although you can get good deals right now due to the current course condition.

So my regular 4 some played Redhawk Friday. It was cold and threatening rain all day but we decided to give it a shot anyways. When we pulled up a attendant was immediately at our car helping us get our bags together and then he shuttled us down to the pro shop complex. Customer service was excellent. The rates are a tad pricey but golfnow.com saved us with a 35% off rate of $45. Not to shabby if you ask me. The starter helped us out with some tips on the first tee on how to use their complex and amazing gps system. (even has a built in scorecard!) We played from the tournament tees and it was nice to see a course that actually put tee markers there rather that just leaving an empty tee box with a plaque in the ground. The course was amazing, but my god was it brutal. You must bring your A game to shoot well here. It's narrow, long, and very undulating. Almost every hole has an elevation change one way or another. The tee's were excellent. The fairways were a dormant bermuda so they were a tad dry but always produced a good lie. The traps were perfect. And best of all were the greens. They were absolutely perfect. 10/10. Probably my favorite part were the par 3's. 4 holes that were completely different from one another but held the course together. No. 4 is an uphill 165 yard par 3 that plays a good 20 yards further. The green has 4 tiers! Thats right 4!! You must be below the hole to shoot well. Then no. 8. an island green 155 yards. 2 traps on the island with water everywhere. No. 12 is another island green but this one is surrounded on all sides with a giant waste bunker. It also plays 155 yards. And then no. 17. Plays 210 yards from the tips. with a good 75 to 80 foot drop. From 210 i hit my 175 club and was on the back of the green. Absolutely incredible course. Definitely will return when the fairways aren't dormant and the course is in an even better than perfect shape.

An excellent course but worth the drive only if playing at a discounted rate. Course was very playable even after 2 inches of rain the day before. They didn't cut the greens that day as a result, but the greens were still plenty fast for me. One minor complaint: no course rating or slope info on the score card or web site. This info was posted on plaques at the 10th tee box. Why the big secret? Also, someone should explain to the help that the blue tee markers should be placed after the white tee markers, not in front of them. At least I could have guessed which course I played that day if all the holes had the markers in the same order.
