8AM tee time today, as usual SCGA is in good shape, fairways are almost back and greens are very close to perfect..... CAUTION,,,,they will be holding PGA qualifiers soon, ROUGH is a KILLER. Add a 1/2 hour to your round, maybe more if you have a slow group in front of you.Its not their fault, ya just cant find the ball unless all four of you look for it. We will be back maybe in November.

Played 10/5/05 and found the course soaked. Greens and fairways are really wet but the greens still ran fast. a few spotty areas in the fairways. Looked like they had aerated in the last two or three weeks. Needs another week or so to be really good.

Played the course today. A few tee boxes needs maintenance.
Fairways and greens great condition. Greens were very receptive but fast. Played in 3:45 min.
Definitely needs a new club house !!

We play SCGA once maybe twice a month,always a "must play" on our traveling schedule. I have to bring the rating down a notch due to messed up tee baxes. The greens and fairways and traps are excellent as usual,the service is the best or as good as anywhere. We think, although we are guessing, that there are a couple of short term problems,just a guess,, but we are pretty sure there have been some big deal tournys held in the last few weeks, most likely a lot of walkers,most likely excellent golfers,most likely too good to put a little sand in the huge divots they took on the tees. We also think there has been a little turnover in personel, and they havent cought up yet. AGAIN, the course is in great shape except for a a couple little problems that should be fixed in a week or two. SCGA remains on our monthly shedule. Great track.

Course is excellent condition. They were having a USGA
qualifier the day we played so everything on the course was
set up perfect. This is a must play course that challanges
every level.

This is simply the best course in Southern California. The greens roll true and with the slopes are very challenging. The rough is long enough to effect shots but not long enough to where you cant fin... Continue »

This is simply the best course in Southern California. The greens roll true and with the slopes are very challenging. The rough is long enough to effect shots but not long enough to where you cant find your ball. The sand traps are great. From the starter to the people in the grill room fantastic.

Played Friday, 6/3. Course was in great shape after CIF championships were held there the day before. Holes had a great design that wasn't boring monotony of holes of similar lengths. The water and sand traps were well placed enhanced the course design features. Greens were large had most had tiers; course knowledge is definitely helpful in that respect.

Great course, great price and would be willing to play more often if it were closer.
