Arrived at the course and found the pro shop closed?? The cart guy told us to go out and stop back after the front nine to pay - first time ever in 30+ years of golf that has happened! The course continues to improve every time out here. The tee boxes, fairways, rough and greens are great! They continue to OVER WATER the entire course - including the traps!! The grounds crew once again had the sprinklers watering the greens as we hit approach shots into them - the workers were again on the 8th green with hoses running full blast while we hit into the green and putted on the greens!!!! We let the pro shop and starter know that you shouldn't HAVE to putt through a river or deal with grounds workers watering greens during your round!! The ownership is CLUELESS as to how to schedule work crews or help to run this place! We will see how long this group stays in place before selling out to the next group who will also have no clue as to how to run a golf course!!!!

Played this morning, first ones off, with my old time golf buddy and now a new member of GKer, JaybeeJ11. Played lighting fast, 2.5 hours, course was soaked, but other than that, was in pretty good shape. Greens were fantastic, holding shots, very soft and putting true. Sand traps were just fine, even for being so wet. Teeboxes and rough were just OK. about half were good half were bad, same with the rough. All in all a great day on a very challenging course from the tips. Go ahead and get out there, $47 to ride on a Sunday morning is a great deal.

First group off - so we thought, until some bonehead decided he needed to go OFF by himself!! Good Bye!!! The tee boxes were in good shape with the exception of a few that were slightly thin and sloped. The fairways were in good shape, a little firmer than any other time I've played here. THE greens - another story. Being the first group off you expect some different conditions with the overnight watering? The grounds crew had the sprinklers RUNNING on a few greens as we were hitting our approach shots into them - on a couple others they stood on the greens with hoses running as we hit our shots in!! The management here needs TO MANAGE!! Hopefully they read their reviews!! The traps were either damp or filled with puddles as well. Overall the place is in good shape and the green fees are in line for the area. Good to see our friend Dewey in the Pro Shop again too!!!

Tee boxes were level, fairways were in very good shape, rough was not too bad but you could get into trouble if you went in there past the first cut. The greens were fantastic! probably 8 to 10 stimp. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a good round of golf!

I just played the SCGA Net Amatuer qualifier here on March 17th. I'm one of those poor saps who bought a rangefinder with slope. I don't use it too often where I'm familiar with the course, so I thought I could get away with it here.

Unfortunately all of the sprinkler heads I searched for were covered up. The fairways were a little thin, but that seems to be the norm because of the water conservation that has been mandated by the state.

The greens were phenomenal, firm and fast! After playing on 8-9 stimped surfaces this was a challenge!

It has been about 6 years since I played here and it appears that the overall condition has suffered some. I still think it's worth the green fee, ~$45 I think, and from the tips will give you some fits.

Pace of play was good, but then again we were all on the clock, so I don't know what the weekend track is like.

Perfect weather and the course was in great shape. Tee boxes could have used a little trim, but for the most part were in great shape. The fairways were nice, green, and held the ball up well for the approach shots into the greens. The greens were very fast and slightly bumpy, but rolled very well if putts were struck good. The rough was pretty thick which stopped errant shots quickly and swallowed them up if you weren't watching. The course was pretty busy but our foursome got around in four and half hours - not bad for this old SCGA track.

Played 11/6 on a Thur. morning. The more I play this course the more I enjoy and the more creeps closer to my favorites. The course from T to green was in very good shape, including the greens which were punched just over two weeks ago, they were fast and just a hint of some bumpiness on some holes, should be perfect in a week.
Excellent practice facility. Range was in good shape with plenty of grass to hit from. Nice chipping area. Definitely the place to practice if you are a local.
The real prize is the layout, very straight forward, but still makes you think what club to hit from the T, 127 slope from the whites, which is just right for my game.
A golfers golf course! Can't wait to go back.
