Tee boxes were great today - Fairways hit and miss with clumpy grass and bare spots - Traps were in usual shape - Greens are really the best part of Temeku! Would be really, really nice if golfers here could fix their BALL MARKS!! Had a group of the golf college students in front of us, the marks were recent (not sure they know how to fix them)?? There were many improvements and a few upgrades made here when the golf college purchased the course. It would be nice to see continued progress in the course conditions. Temeku (Legends) has always been a great local course to play a quick round at (we finished in 3 1/2 hours) in the Valley. I love the layout of this place and find other Robinson designed courses similar.

Played 2/5. Great pace, very good layout and great greens. Pace was our own, no one in front and only a single and a double played through, love that. Greens were in great shape, with the exception of the front of the 8th, the rest rolled smooth and true at med-fast speed. Love the layout, requires a lot of different looks off the T, with different clubs and shapes, water in front of a few greens.

First time playing here since the re-branding several years ago and I thought the course was in average shape. Tee boxes were pretty good for the most part with a couple being a bit unlevel. Good grass coverage though so that was a plus. Fairways were pretty thin and the divot damage was heavy in spots. Rough was hit and miss with some thin rye patches around the greens. Bunkers were pretty good with a few needing a little more sand. Greens were bumpy with way too many ball marks. Avoid those and they rolled pretty well. (Note: Coots have wrecked the front of #8 green. It was ugly.)

Overall it was a decent round for my discounted price. I wouldn't play here for the rack rate ($55/$65) but deals can be found to knock a few dollars off that. In terms of design, this may actually be my favorite Ted Robinson course in Southern California. I have a bit of a love/hate with him but this is a solid track as long as the pins don't end up in crazy spots.

Tees and rough good. What I really like here is the staff and the feeling when playing here. I don't think I've seen a genuinely friendlier staff than here. Starter/Marshall Dave is awesome. A true asset. A month ago he helped look for a lost ball. This time they weren't real busy and asked me if we preferred to pair up or go as a separate twosome. How cool! I've played here 3 times in the past 6 months and today conditions were best to date. Good mix of holes. Doesn't get boring.

Early morning round before the juniors got out. The tee boxes were a little fluffy and patchy. The bermuda fairways have started to go dormant throughout the entire course. The lies are still good with enough fluff to make good strokes. The traps were VERY consistent (in 10) on every hole, damp and somewhat hard, but very playable. The greens were great - they were however different in speed on many holes. Please people (fix your marks) take better care of the greens! The pace of play is always good if you are out early - we finished three and half hours.

Greens were bumpy and still healing from aeration, but very playable, give another two weeks and greens should be in very good shape, I did not notice any disease problem, so that may be under control now. Great layout and friendly staff. Pace was very good, never waited and never pressed.

Reading some recent reviews, they are pretty spot on. Course has been in better shape, but it is still easily playable and I have to say, while fairways were browned out in a lot of areas and rough was lush but mildly inconsistent, I never had a bad lie all day. Just a product of a real hot summer and water restrictions. I do have to say, I really like the staff here. There's just an easy feeling to the place. Pro shop was great and the Marshall AWESOME. Friendly, jovial. Good guy. Teed off at a bit before 1. Great pace until we ran up on a slow twosome on 8 but then made the turn and no one was around. I mean NO ONE! Anywhere! So... The single that caught us joined and we rolled through the back like tornados. I think the round was actually about 3:15 even with 15 minutes of delay. Greens were smooth and rolled well, deceptively fast, however, as stated before some ball marks on a couple holes and some turf issues. Explanation for our playing partner is the wrong salt mixture was used on some greens and they got mold. It wasn't horrific, nor was it on every hole or even anywhere that affected us at all. Ball marks were from a tournament earlier in the day and honestly, that and the footprints will probably be fixed by morning. I made (and fixed!) some GIANT divots. Greens were soft and very receptive, so actually kudos to the staff for the greens not looking like a round at Summerly. Oh... Sand was pretty awful. Broken rakes, grasses, etc. all said, I would still go back next week. I like it here.

Played my birthday round of golf yesterday. When the BF called to make the tee time, the pro shop said that all birthday rounds needed to begin at 1pm. Guess that was fine, but there is nothing on their website or the birthday coupon that said birthday rounds needed to start at 1pm. It was HOT, but the good thing about playing later in the day is that it wasn't so humid. So this course definitely is going through summer conditions. The rough was actually much greener than the fairways. Tee boxes were thin, but nice and level. No divots in the fairways, not much green grass, but lots of dry, brown grass, but the ball rolled nicely down the fairways. Greens were nice, not much divot marks, a few holes had diseased greens, but the ball still rolled nicely. Bunkers were a mix: some had sand, some had really hard packed dirt, and quite a few were growing nurseries in them. Some of the rakes were broken and was interesting trying to rake myself out. Staff was friendly as always. Saw the Marshall a few times, he helped looked for the BF's ball, LOL!! Great pace of play in the afternoon in just under 3.5 hours. They do provide ice cold water just about every 4 holes. An ice chest is provided on the carts, but you need to ask for ice.

Played a quick afternoon round today 8/8/14 in about 3 1/2 hours. Nice!! The course conditions have slid a little lately compared to my previous round . A few greens were either stressed from weather conditions and/or diseased with dead or dry spots. Nearly every green was peppered with ball marks. The traps on most holes were lacking of sand and large on weeds and small palms sprouts. The fairways were just cut very short and numerous trees have been trimmed or removed. The new carts are nice. The rough and vegetation in the drainage areas has turned into a jungle. I have played the course since it was new years ago, just wish it could return to the form some day.
