Like a previous poster, I too had refrained from golfing my ball here. Pleasantly surprised at the condition however. Greens were in superb shape, fairways very good--- although tough to hit. Rough was very penal, tough to find balls hit offline as balls submarined. Not the longest track but narrow landing areas and tough rough made up for a lack of pronounced length. Be ready to hit accurate tee shots --hitting the fairway here goes a LONG WAY. Better to be 140 out in the fairway than 120 in the rough! Sand straps were a joke....WTF? Come on get out there and work on them please....it's the last piece of the puzzle really. Enjoyed the free rd. with the birthday promotion.....paid just $15 for a cart-- can't beat that eh? Especially when they offer it to you a week ahead and in back of your birthday. Give it a try.

Played twice (16- and 30-Aug 2015) Oh Yay... Temeku is back. My buddy and I have kept this off our rota for a few years now having watched the previous owners run it into the ground. Without dwelling on the drought-condition fairways - these are way better than most courses, even Escena in Palm Springs - the Tee Boxes and Greens are just great, Rough is penal with that heavy bluegrass/rye so I would try to avoid. Sand bunkers average (whatever - welcome to SoCal). We are so HAPPY this place is back in fighting shape!! If you haven't played DO, the track is well thought out. POP weekend mornings: right at 4hr to 4:15hr. (as per sd3bs, the ducks have indeed been corralled away nicely!)

Course in good shape for the weather conditions but actually a little soggy in a few fairways. The tee areas always good here along with the fairways. The rough can be hit and miss depending on where you end up. There are a few water holes (nice to see the duck poopulation has fallen dramatically) that come into play! The greens are the draw for this place. The greens have been very good since the PGCC bought the place. The green fees are fair if you use a booking site - the morning weekend rack rates are not reasonable for comparable courses. The traps definitely need (AND HAVE) attention - most are in fair to poor shape. I enjoy the course and recommend it for all.

Teed off at 8 AM on Friday, 8/21, first time playing here in over a year. I was surprised that the course was in good condition.

Greens: smooth, soft with medium speed.

Fairways: in good condition with some patches of brown but very playable.

Traps: hard sand, worst part of the course.

Rough: not very penal.

POP: just under 4 hours.

Customer Service: very helpful starter, got us out a few minutes early. No cart service out on the course.

You have to hit off mats at the Driving Range, small chipping area.

The course continues to show improvement every time I play it. The fairways have nice fluff and the greens are in great shape (rolling quick and true)!! The tee boxes are usually in good condition, with a few having some slope to them. The rough has gotten thick in places and thin in others? The staff is always friendly from the pro shop to the cart person. The ponds on the course are in need of oxygen (lots of dead fish belly up). My only complaint - the traps are ALL in need of repair and attention. We finished in about three and one half hours - nice!

We actually meant to play a different golf course altogether (The former SCGA) in this area, but one of my playing partners got confused-not uncommon-by the name change of this course and booked us here. At first we were furious at him "Dude, you booked us at Temeku Hills, that place is a dog track!" To our relief we were pleasantly surprised. The new ownership has really turned this course around. Conditions were much, much better than when we last played here 4-5 years ago. Greens are quick and in good shape, fairways are firm but the turf is nice, the rough is a little scraggly in spots but no big deal. I never landed in any bunkers but the sand in them looked ok to me. Did not get a chance to try the food service, but the staff encountered all seemed friendly. No sign of a beverage cart on course FWIW. Pace of play on a Sat am just in front of a tournament was excellent, we blazed through the round in 3:45. Nice job Legends!

Met Nicksquire for the first leg of our birthday golf day together. Course was in good condition, greens were pretty nice, held good shots and ran smooth and true, medium speed. Although Nick didn't find any long rough I did find one spot on the left side of the fairway on 14 by the bunker defining the dogleg and caught quite the flyer. I really enjoyed the layout and the course conditions were good. A few strange mounds and some kind of water pump(?) or something in the middle of the 4th hole, but nothing silly. Good course that I'll gladly return to!

Played the blues (6186/70.2/125) with Rat-Patrol in slightly less than 4 hours. We both used B-Day week vouchers, $15 with a cart, thanks Legends! The weather was overcast and fairly calm, very pleasant golf weather. This would be a challenging course to walk, very hilly. 1st time playing here, overall loved the layout. Hilly, target golf at times, but a good mixture. Not overly tight but not a grip it & rip it course either. Plenty of trees and some water to keep you honest, with hardly a flat hole on the entire course. The tees were OK, more thin than lush. The fairways were more thin than lush, but good coverage overall. The rough was not overly tall nor overly penal. Good coverage. The traps were well maintained with thick, moist sand. The greens were a mixed bag. I thought they putted better than they looked. A few still showed signs of the recent aeration and were bumpy, but overall, the greens putted well. Not as quick as they looked, we were giving them too much respect on the speed a good portion of the round. The customer service was excellent. no hassle on the B-Day round. No drink cart, but plenty of water stations on the course. Overall, the course only looked average, but I thought it played better than average. I would play here semi regularly if I lived in the area and look forward to playing Legends again.

Stopped by Monday Midday after some freed up time. POP 3.5 hours, groups were moving at a good pace in front of me. Do not let the furry looking greens fool you, there pretty quick with nice roll out on well hit putts. These are multi tiered greens, but that is it as far as undulation, if your on the right tier you are not looking at huge breaking putts. There are a few bumps on them, out of 27 putts, only 2 putts got knocked offline. Tee boxes were generally pretty good except for blue tees on 5, they need to move those markers, plenty of sod other than that. You could see the distinct cut between fairway and tough, the fairways were more on the thin side with really only 1 and 18 with visible bare spots, the rest very playable with good lies to be found. The rough was thin in some areas and 3" in other areas where the ball would sit down for a possible penalizing lie. Sand was thin in the fairways and although looking hard pan greenside, there was sand there but very compact sand, fooled me on the first one! Some of the fairway bunkers look more like waste bunkers on the back 9. Even though with the green/brown color mixture as not so appealing, good course, love the layout. I think this course is making a comeback. Wind help: Its hard to realize right off the bat but a lot of the course is sunk down in between houses in valleys, when the wind is blowing make sure to check the trees in back yards above you that extend pass the roofs for a better measure of wind velocity. Drive for show, Putt for $ !
