Played 06/29 at 7:40am, round was about 4 hours, very nice considering the heat that hit us on the last 5 holes or so. Very nice course, I found the staff very friendly and considerate. The Driving range although mats was in good shape and warm up easy and a quick little drive to the 1st hole after hitting the practice green for a bit. The Course is cool, each hole is unique and as a first timer I didnt find it too nerve racking. Pretty much what you see is what you get. Greens were soft and you could see a lot of foot prints, but suprisingly the balls rolled pretty true. Greens maybe a 9 on the stimp, but not sure. Greenside bunkers very fluffy..Wife hit almost all of them today. I really liked this layout and we stayed after the round for some lunch and the food is really good. If you live out here...give this play a try, you will like both the course and the people.

Played the Legends Golf Club on Tuesday the 4-22-13. First let me say not quite sure what the course was like before they started to bring its new look into play so I can only review what it is right now. The Greens were very good, held shots well from all types of ball flight, would check or run out depending on how you played the shot. Rolling med to fast in most cases, they did have some very wet areas on the Greens that were somewhat distracting but overall very good condition. Fairways were green slightly thin in some areas but played well and presented good lies, again wet areas were noticed that were neither GUR or roped off so it was a little bit frustrating. The rough here is lush maybe 2-3 inches but somewhat patchy and you can find areas that are very thin and other areas that present clumpy lies. I found several bunkers on this day and all contain a fair amount of good sand, from fairway to greenside, somewhere near 3-4 inches. My only concern with the bunkers were that they were very damp and in some cases again quite wet.
The Tee boxes were in excellent condition very lush and level with few divots, and easily accessible with the railroad ties to raised and lowered tee boxes.
You can differently see that the new owners are pumping money into this course. I spoke with the SUP after my round in regards to some of the wet areas and was informed that a new watering system was being put into place and had yet to be dialed in on time or position, causing some of the wetness that I had mentioned. They have redone all bunkers and improved site lines to some of the holes where needed. The course is currently working on bringing the rough into a more consistent playing level. They have a good start going but will need to work hard at achieving this goal.
Overall the course presents a fun layout at medium length from the back tees. It has a few holes that could bring in a WOW factor once they have completed the work. If you can pick up a round here for 40.00 or so its worth the price, a fun course with a few risk reward holes and a few more that make you think, I would recommend playing here.

It has been two years since I have played the Legends and I was pleasantly surprised at the improvements and their plans for this spring to better the course even more. The greens had been punched weeks ago and they were pretty darn good, you can tell that the turf itself has improved drastically. The bunkers were in excellent shape, the fairways ran do to the dormant Bermuda and the rough was filling in. It is a fun golf course, not a hole the same, I used every club in my bag and enjoyed the day. We finished in less than 4 hours. Also met the head golf professional Nick Bland and complimented him on his staff. The practice facility was very busy with clinics when I finished, so they must have someone that is a popular teacher.

We played this afternoon as a twosome. Weather was cool in the AM but ended up very comfortable. Haven't played here in a while but the last time around, last year, the course was in decent shape, so we thought we would give it a try. Pretty smooth sailing during check in. Warmed up with a small bucket and some putts. Range was full of nice grass and putting green was just ok.
Lots of patches on the green and still recovering from being punched.

Were paired w/ a couple real WINNERS! These guys might have been better off playing soccer at the park. We let several groups go through, including a foursome of slow ladies and they left us in the dust. One of the bone heads picked up the ladies ball off the fairway and put it in his pocket.

The course is in overall decent shape coming off winter but the clumpy fairway grasses made for some strange lye's. Still, most of the fairways were firm grass with great roll. Greens still in need of some time from the aeration though. The greens were a little slow and the small holes left you at the mercy of the right bump. The bunkers were really good aside from the IDIOTS that just refuse to rake them. What is really sad is they were having a Billy tournament and those poor kids were going to have to hit from some A-HOLES foot print. What a shame as I told the tournament directors, marshal kid and the pro shop but they never said a thing to the dumb asses in front of us.

Hey golf course management, wake up and take charge! No need to feel like your offending some JERK by kicking him off the course for not abiding by the rules...... and you morons know who you are!!

Played here on Jan 31 for the first time in years. Greens are in excellent shape, soft and really fast especially on the down hill putts. Fairways are in winter condition, thin and dormant. There are some fairways that have been punched but we played winter rules on them. Sand trap are in good shape. Good customer service. The Legends (new name) is now owned by a Golf school and according to the locals, they are putting some money into the course.

Played yesterday and overall a semi-challenging course with multiple sets of tee boxes and plenty of bunkers. A variety of holes with undulating bentgrass greens which were mostly smooth. They had a lot of greens with severe summer damage which affected the quality of the roll and line, manageable but bad. Aerification is tomorrow and will probably get worse before it gets better. Never found a bad lie anywhere else and the water features and layout is interesting enough to enjoy the day.

played 10/4, first time ever, a nice little challenge, getting ready to aerate, one playing point, a lot of uphill carries to greens, play a little longer to avoid deep, front protecting bunkers, bunkers kind of wet, but, overall a fun course to play, also a lot of uphill, downhill steeper putts, practice a few of those on the practice green, one negative; as we were coming up #9, they put out a two-some in front of us, we caught them on the 11th tee, I politely asked to lady to let us play through, but, she replied " we are members", I would have challenged her, but her resemblance to # 51 Mr. D. Butkus, for safety sake we went to the next tee, I wish courses with the kind of 10 tee set-up would check to see if they let someone out ,without interfering with the flow of play, will play again...

Played on Sunday the 27th, condition are fair to good with the greens being very good.Stared at 6:45 and they were lighting fast and by the time we started our 3rd round of the day it was blinding fast. Fun and interesting layout with a great staff.And they do have the best breakfast burritos around.
