First round back after an extended layoff. 10:16 tee time, $55 golfnow, course was backed up so 5 hour round. Customer service was fine, bonus points go to Beth the beverage cart girl...saw her at least 5 times. Tee boxes were level but shaggy. Fairways were mostly fine, with occasional burnt-out areas, GUR and some recently fertilized spots. Rough was lush, not tough though. Greens have mostly recovered from punching, and were very quick but held shots fine. Bunkers were a mixed bag; some fluffy, some hard, some with many rocks.

I always enjoy the layout here. It's very fair, with wide fairways and lots of elevation changes. #18 is always a treat with the 200 ft. drop from tee to fairway. Definitely my favorite course in this general area.

Played twilight on July 29th at 3pm. Place was empty except for a small women's group that was starting in front of us. Staff told us to start on the back and only saw a couple of groups. Have not played here for at least 7 years and hope it is not that long until I can play here again. Tee boxes were level and in good shape but markers had not been moved in awhile and the teeing area was beat up. Fairways were great, rough was strange on some holes with lush rough on one side and the other side was dead grass. Was in one trap and they are dirt and rocks. Greens were soft and bumpy (it was also late in the day). They have a great deal going right now on green fees for a foursome for $100 during twilight. POP was 4 hours.

Played today, Friday the 26th at 8:30 am. Man, I love this course!! Layout is fantastic with lots of downhill shots. The course today was in excellent shape. Fairways were lush, no bare spots to be found. Greens were rolling true, some were easy to read, some were crazy difficult to read! The staff were very friendly (shout-out to Tony, who made us feel very welcome!) We (2-some) finished our round in under 4 hours....they place was empty. Literally, we saw 4 other golfers all day, a group of ladies in front of us, but they played well, and were always teeing off before we reached our green. Back Nine played easier (at least for me) than the front, and I loved the 18th, where you tee off to a fairway that lies 200 feet below!! (TIP; Split the bunkers for an easy 2nd shot). I'll be back!!

Had a tee time July 13th at 10:32am. and didnt tee off till 10:50am. From the 1st tee box to the 13th tee box, we had to wait an average of 13 minutes for each tee shot and 2nd shot into greens.

Once we reached the 13th tee box it was already 3:35 p.m. Thats almost 5 hours for 13 holes. We couldn't take it anymore and left.

The marshalls did nothing about the waiting...

I can tolerate slow play to an extent, but a round being over 5 hours 30 minutes is ridiculous. This course along with eagle glen is now forever banned from our lives due to the extreme slow play with marshals doing nothing about it

Came here on the fourth of july. Teed off around noon so it was pretty warm. Certainly could have used more water coolers on the course (only two were available). The course was in very good shape. Greens were a bit on the slow side but consistent. There are problems with the bunkers; some are really dry, some have lots of pebbles, and some are nice and fluffy. Nobody in front or behind us, so that was nice. Would definitely play here more often if it wasn't so far.

I love the layout of this course as you're forced to hit every club in your bag. Several of the fairways on the front 9 were looking pretty thin. Probably expected this time of the year with the high temperatures. Bunkers were nice, but some of them had a lot of pebbles that has potential to damage your clubs if you aren't careful. Rough was cut about 3-5 inches. Greens were rolling true and fairly fast but found many unfixed divots. Definitely will be coming back here again.

Bunkers were hit and miss, some good, some bad. Course overall a lot better shape than most Orange County Courses and a lot less crowded. Played Newport last week and it was so bad I didn't want to write a review. Happy Fathers Day to all

Beyyer than average course, but definitely not elite. Views are outstanding and many of the holes are interesting to play but course condition is very inconsistent. Rough is very spotty with many place being bare. Greens were mostly good but somewhat bumpy. Prbably better than most of the Corona courses but not one to return to very often.

I am always excited to take the trip out to Glen Ivy, and when I got a group together on Saturday to find a time Sunday, I was very happy to see that on their website I could book for $34 a pop! We got to the pro shop, and they inform us that GolfNow (who does their booking, unbeknownst by me) made an error and that time is for NEXT Sunday. We spend a half hour on the phone with GolfNow to remedy the situation (they required us to pay in full) and give up after they were no help whatsoever. They gave us a discount in the pro shop that wasn't too bad, which made things a bit better. You could tell management has their hands too tied up, which isn't great for business, but the employees still found a way.

Sunday (Mother's Day) was a little over 100 degrees (and all of their water coolers on the course were empty) and real windy, so conditions weren't perfect to give the most fair review, we were all exhausted by the 15th hole. The black tees aren't all that great, but are relatively level, just need a bit of a trim. The fairways are very good, even though many players are definitely not using the 90 degree rule or sanding/replacing their divots. The rough isn't too punishing, which is always nice on a course where out of bounds can come into play on every hole. The greens have healed up very well! They aren't up to full speed, but roll true and have good pace.

Glen Ivy is the home of the raddest Marshall in golf, Fred. Say hi to him when you're out there, he has some great stories if you find yourself playing too quickly (5 holes in 30 minutes, it was wide open)

I suppose we'll be back out there next Sunday, seeing as we're already paid up. I hope the golf gods give us some good weather and GolfNow doesn't somehow screw with us again.
