Played here as a foursome last sunday and it was wide open. Nobody infront or behind us. Greens, fairways, tee-boxes were all in good shape. Only the rough had some bare spots but not too bad. The GPS on the carts are always a bonus.

Came here on the fourth of july. Teed off around noon so it was pretty warm. Certainly could have used more water coolers on the course (only two were available). The course was in very good shape. Greens were a bit on the slow side but consistent. There are problems with the bunkers; some are really dry, some have lots of pebbles, and some are nice and fluffy. Nobody in front or behind us, so that was nice. Would definitely play here more often if it wasn't so far.

Played this past saturday afternoon. The course is in very nice shape. The greens are rolling great and the fairways are lush. Bunkers had plenty of sand in them, though some were not cleanly raked. Tee boxes need some work but overall the course is in great shape.

As for POP, it took almost 6 hours to complete the round. It got so bad in the back 9, there were 3-4 groups waiting at the tee box, on a par 4. It took a lot away from what was otherwise very good golf conditions, from the course condition itself to the weather. If I ever decide to come here again, it'll be early morning.

Played early Saturday morning as a foursome. Played behind a fivesome but they moved fast and we finished in about 4.5 hours which is very good for this course on a weekend.

The greens were punched recently and still sandy and very slow, but in my unprofessional opinion, seemed to be recovering well. The fairways and rough were lush and tee boxes were fairly level with plenty of grass. The bunkers which are usually nice and fluffy here, were inconsistent, wet (not sure why), and just not enough sand.

Played this morning as a 5some, but was backed up the whole time in the front, but much better in the back and took a little over 5 hours. The fairways and rough were in pretty good shape as well as the tee boxes. The greens looked like they were ready to be punched and were very bumpy. The bunkers need more sand, but at least it was consistently lacking or so it seemed. Cart girls were nowhere to be found though.

Great golf weather and had a good time with buddies. So, can't really complain.

Played on last Saturday, teed off around 11am and finished a little after 4. Not too bad considering the crowd. The greens look like they are in decent shape, except few putts in our group were bouncing like crazy. That could just be the divots and footprints being a slightly later tee time. The fairways and the rough were generally in good shape and cut pretty short. Was in two bunkers, both had good amount of sand and nicely raked. Tee boxes were okay, some uneven parts, but not too dug up.

Played this morning but teed off about 20 minutes late, not sure of the reason, maybe just a slow moving day; after all, it did take 5 hours. Played as a 4-some behind a 3-some but that group seemed to move pretty slow, chatting with the cart girl every time she came around which was about 4-5 times.

As for the conditions, fairways & greens are in great condition. Very firm especially with the warm and dry weather, but consistent and fair. Except on #17, the green for some reason weren't like the others; patchy around the edges. Tee boxes have some uneven parts, but nothing that will dramatically affect your shots.

Payed only $56 with an online special, which is a steal at this difficult yet fun course.

Played this morning around 7. Teed off on-time or very close to it. Course is in very good condition. Greens are very quick and well maintained. Fairways were very lush and rough wasn't too thick. I wasn't in any bunkers but it seemed like it was in at least decent condition. Tee boxes were mostly level except for a couple holes and had plenty of grass.

Finished in about 4.5 hours, although the 5some behind us seemed to be lagging a little.
The GPS in the carts is a definite plus as well.

Played on 11/16 mid morning. Perfect golf weather, not too warm, not too cold, and little bit of sun. The course is in very good condition overall. The tee boxes were in good condition except a couple were a little bit uneven. Fairways and rough were well maintained and pretty consistent. Greens had a few brown spots, but they were very fast and rolled true.

The only real downside to the course was the bunkers. They had no sand in them. I was in 3 bunkers (1 greenside and 2 fairway) and all were pretty hard. My playing partner also commented about there being no sand.

Played behind a 4some but finished in 4 1/2 hours which isn't too bad. All in all, very enjoyable, and can't ever go wrong when playing with buddies on a weekday.

Went out as a foursome last thursday morning. Was bloody hot out so course was pretty quiet. We finished in about 4 hours which is unheard of at this place even during weekdays. For the price, it is decent and I always enjoy this place because its so wide and open. But they have tiny greens so good score isn't necessarily easy.

One complaint I have though is that they cut the grass way too long. Its hard to find balls in the rough sometimes. Anyhow, the course was in decent shape. One sand I was in was nice and fluffy (perhaps too fluffy since it was buried). 10th hole had the wrong flag so that was kinda frustrating. Fairways were lush and didn't see any bare spots. Tee boxes didn't have too many divots and were nice and level.

But anytime I can play with buddies on a weekday is a big thumb up.

Had an afternoon teetime on 7/1. Went out right on time and finished in just over 5 hours which isn't bad. Tee boxes were a bit chewed up but otherwise the course conditions were neither great nor bad, just decent.

Having cooler weather in Long Beach definitely is a plus, and having thick trees are good for staying out of the sun, but not good for your golf game. Somehow I managed to stay out of the bunkers so I can't comment on that. Got a great deal online (with a coupon to add) so a good day all around.

Teed off on time last Saturday morning early (got lucky with the tee time). The greens were in very good shape without many divots, maybe cause it was the morning. Great ocean view on some of the holes, just awesome for $35 to walk. Pace of play was actually very good (4.5 hours) except maybe the 17th hole. Only flaw(?) was the inconsistency in the bunkers. Some were very nice and fluffy but some had no sand, ie 18th greenside bunker.

But all in all, always enjoyable to play with good company, and the price and scenery is just icing on the cake.
