I met up with Itslikeimsayin for a round here this afternoon. We booked an 11:20 tee time through TeeOff.com and he used a promo code, so the price was less than $40. That's a good deal on a weekend here. Unfortunately, the place was packed. I overheard the starter say two tournament groups went out in the morning, including the groups we followed immediately after. We teed off about 35 minutes late. Then the pace on course was just as brutal at over 5.5 hours! So with the delay, basically a 6+ hour round. Horrendous. The course didn't look its prettiest with a lot of brown spots. However, the playability was mostly very good. The tight bermuda fairways were a little dappled in color and provided plenty of roll-out, but my lies were always perfect and great to hit from. The rough was pretty cut down and dormant in some spots. Other spots were a bit patchy and clumpy with different grasses growing in. Overall, I thought the back nine seemed a little greener and nicer than the front, but that may just be because I played better after the turn. The bunkers were decent, but there were some unraked footprints in a few of them. I thought the greens were great. Very receptive on approaches and rolling pretty well at good speeds. They got a little bumpy as the day went on, but overall good. I do like this layout and the deal we got today was good, but the crowds and slow play today were too much of a turn-off. One bummer was that they were doing maintenance to all of the back two tee boxes, so every hole had the black, blue and white tees grouped together on the forward set. So basically everyone plays the whites right now. Tom's Farms had a big Civil War reenactment going on next door, so there were guns and cannons booming as we tried to hit. We almost ran over two different wedding parties between the 18th green and the clubhouse as they were blocking the cart paths. It was just one of those wacky days where the place was a madhouse and we were stuck in the middle of all of it.

Played today and course in good shape except they look like they are thatching the rough on some holes and makes for a horrible lie if you get in the junk. Had a good time and will be going back.

Without question, this is the best customer service offered in the Southland. The starter was great, the rangers were really good too. We had to ask to pass a group of slow players. This can be stressful if mishandled. The rangers were cool as were the guys we passed. We finished 45 minutes ahead of them-3 open holes at 18!

I strongly recommend you play there before they punch the greens 19-Oct.

One watch out: Do NOT order the "steak salad" for lunch. Is it just overcooked roast beef, no flavor!

I played Glen Ivy a few weeks with my wife. Glen Ivy formerly called Triology, located in South Corona is another one of my favorite tracks. My wife likes this course for the views, and I like it for the short par 4’s. Other than that the last hole, the 300ft drop on 18, the course looked pretty bad. Most of the water holes were all drained and were a serious eye sore, especially to my wife. Greens and fairways were nice, but the drained water just took away from our experience. Looking forward to reading other reviews to see if the water is back.

Would recommend it to anyone. Of all the courses in the area, this one is the best for the money. Course layout can be a punish/ reward depending on tee box and skill level.

Played a Thursday, mid morning T-time. Course is in 7+ condition all the way around with the exception of the greens, 9+ condition almost immaculate, rolling much faster than any other course that I have played in the IE, the last couple of months.
They are draining the lakes around the clubhouse is the only complaint, minor, just effects the beauty of the course, not the play.

Always enjoy playing this course! Overall the course was in nice condition - no issues. Greens were as receptive as I can recall. Staff was great and pace of play not too bad. Teed off 15 min prior to our time and finished in less than 4 hours. Ran into a few groups on the back side which slwed us down, but not to the point where it was a problem.

Played on Friday afternoon, 5/23. The course is in very good condition and the greens are in the best shape I've ever seen them here. The fairways were also very good. I really like the course layout here as every hole is unique and there is a lot of elevation change making for some interesting holes. My only concern is the pace of play and the lack of a marshall out on the course to keep an eye on things.
