It has been a while since golf courses are opened. Due to this COVID-19 pandemic, it was great to be out there and playing the course. The course took extra precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the patrons. Face mask must be worn at all time and the carts were sanitized before the next group. This took a while because they didn't have enough workers to clean the carts. However due to the limited open courses, the Links at Summerly were slammed with so many players. We didn't get our cart until 25mins later and the pace was very slow. Once on the course, conditions were good, tee box were level, greens were majority smooth but a bit slow and there was minimal sand in the bunkers. All the holes on the front nine were playable. Back nine however were a mixed bag. Hole #12, was made into a par 3 due to maintenance. Hole #13 was completely shut down. Hole #15 was turned into par 3 as part of the fairway was under maintenance. None of these information was disclosed at time of booking and at check in time. I felt that the course should have at least let us know that some of the holes were under maintenance. Hopefully, the course will be in great shape soon

Fantastic course to play this time of year when the weather is tolerable and conditions were great. Overall from tee to greens, couldn't ask for anything more. I find this course a bit more challenging than Pete Dye course. A bit more obstacles (trees) but the landscaping along the communities were pleasing to the eyes. Tee boxes were leveled and fairways were like carpet. Practically, you can putt from fairways and onto the green with minimal challenge. Greens were a bit faster than Pete Dye course but I guess it was afternoon tee time and greens dried up a bit. We had a wonderful round at this course as well and couldn't say anything less about customer service. Top notch and we will return, definitely

Fantastic course to play this time of year when the weather is tolerable and conditions were great. Overall from tee to greens, couldn't ask for anything more. Tee boxes were leveled, fairways were like carpet and in some areas, you can actually putt from it. Fringe areas were well manicured and traps were consistent. Greens roll true and were about 10 to 10.5 so they were awesome to putt on. Customer service was most outstanding and we look forward to coming back soon for a few more rounds

We had a wonderful time at this course. Had 4 chip-ins, 3 were birdies. I would say, that's the best chipping day I have ever played. Hands down! On to the review of the course

From tee to green, the course is decent. Tee boxes were good. Fairways, however were not in good shape but playable with so many bare spots throughout the course. If you're lucky and find the short grass from tee shot, winner winner chicken dinner. Even on the short grass, it is thin and the lie is very tight!

The traps were inconsistent. Some were soft and some were just so many pebbles/small rocks in them. Really need to bring your A-game when you find the traps.

Fringe/apron areas were inconsistent as well. You can tell that course management attempt to keep it playable and do have bare spots too

Greens were med/fast and roll true. Some of the greens have hidden breaks which make you scratch your head but rewarding once you hear the ball hits the bottom of the cup

Overall, we were lucked out because it was supposed to rain but we're able to squeeze in 36 holes. Hoping fairway conditions improve. We will definitely return at a later time

Tee Time: July 16 @ 11:10 (Second Round)

Yes, we are a bit crazy playing our 2nd round from after Pete Dye course on the same day in the hot, hot sun. But even with the weather beating down on us, we had a great time. This course is just fantastic as Pete Dye. Loved the layout. Challenging but not too difficult. From tee to greens, it was in great conditions. Greens however, weren't as bumpy as Pete Dye. A bit slow and I guess due to the sun baking it all day long. Enjoyed every minute of it though. Again, customer service was great as always and couldn't ask for anything more. They even towels soaked in ice cold bucket for you to cool off. Definitely will come back

This course seems to amaze us on our yearly pilgrimage to the palm springs area. Condition was fantastic considering how hot it is out there this time of the year. From tee to greens, we couldn't ask for anything better. Although the greens were a bit bumpy, as long as you have a firm putt, it will hold the line. I had a blistering front nine with 2 birdies (40). Customer service is excellent as always. Wish that we could play more than just once a year

Always enjoy playing at this course even though I'm over an hour drive from Monterey Park to Palmdale. Maybe because I like the architect, Ted Robinson style of design. From tee to green, conditions were good. Tee boxes were leveled. Fairways were maintained nicely so when your tee shot finds the short, you get the extra distance from bounce and roll out. I went into the trap once so can't really comment a whole lot but from the look of it, traps were in good conditions. Greens were a bit on the softer side on front 9 but by the turn, greens got a little faster due to the elements. It was a nice day out and enjoyed it very much

From tee to green, stay away from this course and save your money. There's reason why there are coupons for $28 and with lunch. Terrible conditions. If you have back or neck problem, you're putting your self at risk. The cart path and fairway are bumpy as hell. Seems like you're off-roading instead of being on a golf course. Tee boxes are relatively leveled. Traps are inconsistent. Greens were spongy, soft, slow and divots galore. As for "golf" attire, none. You can literally walk up in your pajama and still get to play. My rule of thumb is, if the course DO NOT enforce dress code = they don't care and it reflects on the conditions of the course as well. Never coming back

It was a brisk morning as our tee time was at 07:30. However when the sun came out, it was very nice and warm day for golf. I forgot how difficult this course was. The layout is challenging and the speed of the greens didn't help either. Course was in great conditions from tee to green. Some parts of the fairways were a bit muddy but I didn't mind it. Bunkers were in good conditions. 1st cut and rough were in playing form and the apron areas were well manicured. Greens were on the faster side but rolled very well. I would come back once I sharpen up my golf skills. LoL

fun course so it was worth the drive since it took us a little over an hour to get here. conditions were great from tee to green. tee boxes were leveled and fairways were nice kept. a little firm so it will help you with your drive. traps were well kept except for a few that were water logged. i guess due to watering. immediate cut have nice lie and so are the apron areas. green were smooth and rolled true. they were from medium to fast. customer service was always excellent since this was not our first time playing here. Watch out for the wind in the afternoon. strong and comes towards you at every directions sometime. overall, it was a great outing

such a great a track @ RedHawk. also, thank you for the coupon from Greenskeeper. from tee to green, the course is very well maintained. tee boxes were leveled. fairways were in great conditions and like carpet which your tee shot will benefit from. DON'T get in the rough, it will punish you. 1-3" and thick. 1st & 2nd cut were perfect. greens were running a bit faster than medium and rolled well. due to the layout of green areas, most of the greens have false front and back and pin placement was a bit tough over this weekend. love this track. and who can forget RedHawk's signature, #8...beautiful

Most definitely will return. crossing my finger for Aug coupon

first time playing on course #1 (Koiner). i was a bit disappointed. all tho the majority of the track was pretty well kept, i can't say so for the greens. some of the greens were soft and some were firm. also, there seems to be a mixture of weed grass or whatever you call it on the greens. you can literally see each blade of the grass even tho they were mowed/cut. just not very consistence with the pace of your putts. some were fast, slow and medium. adding more of a frustration to this already diff game

tee boxes were level. fairways were green with a few spots of yellowness but it's becuz of the heat. rough areas will punish you if you're ever in them. traps see to be good. oh boy, the par 4s on this track are long. you really have to smash it for a decent 2nd shot, otherwise, diff for GIR. still debating on whether we should return or not
