Played Wednesday morning. Checked in with no mention that some of the greens were being sanded and no discounted green fees due to the conditions. Some greens were thin and heavily sanded. Greenside bunkers appear to have sand but is hardpan underneath. Fairways have grown back and are better than I have seen it .
I would wait to play here until maybe a month for the greens to get settled. Not worth full rack rate at this time.

Bit of late review. Back out to Glen Ivy. Conditions about the same as when I played last time. Greens not as quick, but were OK. Still good coverage in the fairways. A few of the tee boxes were a bit beat up, but could always find a decent spot to stick the peg in the ground. Overall the course has improved from where is was lat year, which is appreciated.

Staff as always was accommodating and friendly. Enjoy this course because it has a bunch of fun holes. Every time I play here, I think how tough it would be to attempt to walk it.

First review in awhile and my friends and I played 6/24 before 8am. We hadn't played here since late-2019 because of the negative course condition reviews. Conditions have improved. Tees (black) were very good. Fairways had good coverage and were lush. Rough was mostly defined, (cart entrances and exits) but playable. Greens appears to still be recovering from being punched (not sure when), and were slightly bumpy. Multiple greens had significant patches. The guy in the pro shop said they were playing "about 10 on the stimp, and 11 after they're mowed", but that's simply not true. Staff is kinda iffy. The staff could use some customer service classes, and I'll leave it at that. We'll work Glen Ivy into our rotation, maybe 1-2x each year.

Played Glen Ivy on 6/8/23. Weber pretty much tells the story, conditions are pretty good out here now. Greens are pretty good. They've definitely been working on them, some patched areas, but in general everything was smooth other than unfixed ball marks.

Fairways were nice. Good coverage, not too short, actually playable. Bunkers were in very good shape.

JC is doing good out here. Add Glen Ivy back to the rotation. Recommended.

Have not played Glen Ivy for a few years, so was excited to return. While we had the second time off out at 6:09am, we were able to get out first, which I thought was great ......... until we ran into a reverse shotgun which began on #15, with two groups on each hole, so we bailed and drove in. I just wish someone would have told us about this because we could have made adjustments. So unfair !

Overall I thought the course was in much better condition than when I played here in 2020. While the greens were a bit bumpy and too slow for my taste, they certainly were acceptable. Good coverage in the fairways. The greenside bunkers had plenty of sand, but were compacted, which made getting "through" the sand to flop it out rather difficult.

The staff was really great, except for the fact they failed to advise us of the reverse shotgun. I have very mixed feeling about that.

Monthly golf group made it back down to Glen Ivy this past weekend and I was pleasantly surprised with most of the conditions after reading some poor reviews over the long period since the last time I played here. Check-in is very convenient, as is the range adjacent the starter's building. It's a pretty well run operation to get you going. Out on the course may be a slightly different story.

In terms of layout, it's really good and you never have anything but unique holes that never play side by side. Every hole is its own entity and that makes for a very challenging yet fun experience. There are elevations, mature trees and plenty of OB areas on either side of most of the fairways so bringing your A game is a very wise idea.

Conditions are pretty good all over the course but there are a few of the greens that are still showing some patchwork damage. It's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle on some of the greens as if they were forced to substitute some new layers to cover up old damaged ones. The ball was still rolling quite fast though despite these factors and held shots pretty well, too.

Fairways were mostly in good shape with just a few thin areas, and there's not a lot of rough out at Glen Ivy but when it was found it was nice and thick but still playable. Tee boxes (we always play the whites with this group) were mostly flat and well-covered, while the bunkers were okay with nice sand but probably not enough of it on the holes where I was beached.

We were the fourth group out for our outing so it's hard to say how much the slow POP was a direct result of some of my friends, but the group behind us was definitely hitting into us a few times too often but they knocked that off once they saw us waiting as well on many of the holes. Still, not ideal to play a five-hour round but at least the scenery, company and the weather was top notch. Cart service was also great with many visits and everything we needed.

I really enjoy playing this course when it's good condition like this and look forward to coming back soon.

It's been over a year since I've played this course due to the price increase and due to the prior reviews. Went out early Wednesday prior to a men's group. POP was just slightly under 4 hours.

So, the course conditions were so-so. Greens have been repaired but some were still thin, and you can see where they repairs were done. The greens that were replaced were different than the original ones and rolled different. Greenside bunkers had sand but were compacted down. The worst part of the course was the fairways. The fairway had splotches of different grasses. Not worth the current rack rates at this time.

Greens were terrible. One is being closed for complete renovation for fungus. a few others had patches.

Some picturesque tee shots made it somewhat enjoyable.
