Played on a busy Friday afternoon, wait on most holes and a 5 hour round. Greens bumpy and inconsistent on speed. Looks like they still have not healed from last punching. Sand looked good until you tried to hit out of it. Fine white but one rock hard and completely compacted and the next fluffy and soft, much like the greens very inconsistent. Fairways great and rough very lush and penal. The wind and elevation defends this course and the layout is fun to me. Hopefully they can get the greens in better shape and start taking care of the bunkers.

Played 2/16 with a 7:13 tee time and got out right on time. Finished in 4:15 with some waiting on the group ahead of us. Check in is in the shop and quick with masks required. The grill is open for take out and drinks. Range and practice green are both open.
Tee boxes are a little thin but still very playable
Fairways on the front nine show signs of being punched recently and were good to hit from although winter thin with lots of roll out. The back nine must have been punched with 1/2 holes last night or early this morning and you had to deal with all the muddy plugs.
The rough around the greens was long and thick making you work to get out. The bunkers were just reworked last summer and have lots of nice white sand but no rakes so you have to deal with some footprints.
The greens ran at medium speed and held shots well. Very few old ball marks to deal with.
Did not see a drink cart but did have a marshal come by several times.
Overall I always enjoy this track and will be back soon.

We played 36 holes here yesterday. Only played here once before maybe 15 years ago so didn’t remember a hole except 18. We thoroughly enjoyed the layout with a great mix of holes and some tough pin placements. If this course could find a way to better the overall conditions we would make this a “must play” especially the par three holes which were all great.
Now more on course conditions, the sand is top quality and a joy to play out of. There are plenty of well placed bunkers so having sand like this was great. The greens were nice, rolled semi fast, undulating, and fun to putt on. The rest of the course needs some work. They should go take a look at Goose Creek and mimic what they do in regards to their attention to detail. A little more effort and this course could be a gem. Customer service was excellent throughout, pace was 4 hours, and our overall experience was great.......recommended

Played yesterday 11/4 before noon. Upon arrival we noticed large groups of golfers waiting in the parking lot. We knew that it was going to be a long day of golf. We were told that we could go up to the 1st tee early before the large groups. We were excited but excitement subsided when we got to 1st tee and there already was a wait. Teed off 5 minutes behind booked tee time. POP was a grueling 5 hours in 92 degree heat, with no Marshall moving golfers along. Had to wait on almost every hole. Course conditions: Sand traps were filled with new sand. Greens still had visible aeration holes and have not yet been cut so balls rolled slow. Fairway was nice and green, some areas were overwatered and muddy. Rough was lush and tall needing to be cut so balls can get lost. Most of the tee boxes are being fertilized and over seeded. Course conditions should be perfect in the next several weeks hopefully they control POP

Got punked by GK legend weber on a review for Glen Ivy GC even though I played the afternoon before he did – that guy is much more efficient in getting his reviews posted. He stole all the major points I was planning to make: course is in the best shape I’ve seen it in years; bunker sand is wonderful and easy to play from, and are the best bunkers I’ve seen this year; and greens are fairly firm, hold shots and roll pretty good at medium speed. Since many of the longer holes play downhill the course generally plays shorter than the card distances. We played the white plates (6,000/69.0/124) because most of the white markers were moved up to the gold boxes. Fairway lies were good and tees were level. Saw the cart girl 2-3 times. Quite a bit of new signage leading to and on the course was attractive and beneficial. We were breezing along at 2.5hr thru 12 holes but got backed up behind 2 slow foursomes on hole #13 and spent a lot of time waiting the rest of the round, finishing in just over 4 hours.

THE BAD/THE WRONG – I booked online, on their website (thru GolfNow, apparently) for $52 apiece. That’s for 2 players and a cart. On arrival, I asked for a separate cart – that cost me $15, and my buddy also had to pay an additional $15! That’s $30 for our additional cart. LOOKS LIKE A NEW PROFIT CENTER HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED! This is wrong, wrong, wrong!

In future, I will be checking ahead with courses and will not play at courses that charge fees like this!

Always enjoy playing this track, A fun layout with lots of interesting holes and enough challenge to keep your interest without being overly penal. Course overall is in much better condition than when I last played here - pre-covid. I was impressed with the greens and the bunkers, some of the better maintained bunkers I've encountered since the pandemic.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating, in fact all the personal was a pleasure to deal with. My only complaint is the increase in fees. It now becomes even more beneficial to use one of the vouchers available on line to help lower the cost.

Played today. The course is in good condition. Only hole #5's green had some damage to it. They have filled in all the sand traps with nice fluffy white sand. The traps are the best I've seen in years. All lakes have been filled with water and the fountains are all working. Overseeding was done on the tee boxes and the bare spots on the course. Glad to see this place being rejuvenated. Green Fees did increase around $10. POP was just slightly over 4 hours.

Played with my monthly group today at Glen Ivy and, after finally returning for a second play, remembered what a very fun layout this course has and the conditions were mostly good as well. Our group got some nice perks like free range balls and our five groups were accommodated very well with a few of the guys coming in a bit later than expected.

We played from the blue tees with a first tee time of 10:40am. The cart service was excellent and frequent - much needed for a very hot day in Corona. I think there were water stations around but I brought my own HydroFlask and bottles so I never needed to double check them.

One complaint about the GPS in the carts ... while it's a good system when it's working properly, there are far too many times when the cart reaches an 'illegal' area and the carts come to a halt. A few times we followed the cart exit signs just ahead of the greens and on the path THEY carved out we would get stopped and have to back up. Very annoying and unnecessary.

Course conditions were mostly good with a few observations of note. The green on the par 3 5th has a lot of damage, some section blocked out with white chalk squares like playing hopscotch, and lots of dirt. After that one though, the greens were in pretty nice shape overall and rolled medium-fast with true lines. Nothing too funky in terms of breaks or slopes on these greens.

The tee boxes were mostly in playable shape but nothing too special about them. Fairways mostly provided very good lies despite the intense heat down here recently, so that was a nice bonus. The rough was not too penal but there were some thin areas and of course lots of places to lose balls, be it water features or in the runoff areas off the fairways. The best part of the course? The bunkers. They have the best white, fluffy sand and play incredibly well if you find yourself in them. Maybe the best I've seen anywhere in SoCal all year.

If you like a lot of varied terrain, a nice selection of narrow and wide fairways (mostly wide to be honest), some big carries down the stretch and some super views of the valley below, then Glen Ivy is definitely worth a visit.

Played here mid morning. Usually this place is fine but they are now charging a $15 additional single rider cart fee which is not listed on their online booking engine even though the time states that it includes a cart. Low brow move for a supposed high end course. Usually check in guys are friendly, it's really not that complicated but this guy was kind of confrontational and annoying. Anyway course was in fair condition. Tee boxes were pretty roughed up from the blues, a lot of divot damage and crabby grasses. Fairways were in good condition, a bit brown but playable. Sand is new, fluffy and bright. Best spot. Greens were okay, ran medium speed and soft. Number 4 green is in terrible shape, not sure what happened, it's pretty much putting through dirt. Pace of play was AWFUL, five hours, longest I've spent on the golf course in some time. No marshal. Stay away from this place if they are going to nickel and dime for carts and not enforce any pace of play standards.
