Golf course is in terrible shape! Some of the greens were unplayable and looked like they were pieced together. Lots of brown spots in the fairways. There was flooding in several of the tunnels that we had to use to get to several holes. Maybe a water main broke, but there was a lot of water running down the paths. Our cart died on us in the middle of the fairway on hole 8. After switching it out, the next cart kept turning off on us. It was related to issues that they were having with the GPS. GPS needed to be reset in the carts since they reflected old flag positions. The carts were also raggedy and dirty. I was assigned a cart with torn seats and had to request a better one before we started. The signature 18th hole no longer even has the beautiful orchards. This place was not worth the $100 green fee. I was very disappointed. There are way too many beautiful courses to play in the I.E. and they seem to have let this place go.

Another last minute invite today 11/29...I was looking forward to this as it has been about 4 years since I got over to play Glen Ivy...END OF REVIEW, if you cannot say anything nice about the course, don't say any thing at all....Take your money and toss it in the can you will be happier...$25 would be too much for this course....

What used to be one of the gems and premiere courses here in the IE, Glen Ivy Golf Club has taken a turn for the worse. First of all, the course itself has been in HORRIBLE shape!!! The greens has been horrid for about 4 months now. Honestly, I could even say that it is unplayable. But worst of all, some staff members are just running this place into the ground with their attitude. Specially the people running the range. They have it advertised that last bucket could be purchased at 7:30pm and it is open till 8:00pm. But the past few weeks, it’s open until they feel like it. There has been times that we’ve bought a large bucket each golfer at around 6:30pm and they’ve turned the lights off by 7:00pm. Just a couple of days ago, I got there at 4:30pm and they closed the ball dispenser and didn’t even turn the lights on!!! Staff said, no one’s playing the course and they are trying to cut payroll cost. But almost every stall on the range was being used!!! So that really didn’t make sense. Just today I called to see what time they will close the range and they said it’s closed all day because the dispenser was broken. Called again a few minutes later and they said they are closed because the ball picker is out of commission. Netter practice those lines fellas!!! Sucks because a few friends bought memberships to play the course and have range access and discount. With the course the way it is, course is trash and the practice area is only open when they feel like it.
This place needs help. I hope the investors/owners gets to read this so they get the shine and luster back to this gem.

Regrettable that I play this course today 11-16-21. I was wondering why the parking lot looked so empty for my morning tee time and now I know why. The front 9 greens are in almost unplayable condition and serious repair work is continuing as of today. Sad that was not mentioned when Tee time was inquired within the pro shop 1 week ago. The back 9 was in better condition however, this was the first time I left an 11" divots (My Shoe Size) of foot prints while putting. The greens were soaked and we haven't had rain locally in quite some time, like putting on a sponge. Serious, puts up hill or down were so off, very frustrating round. I dont think this course will be in a good playable condition for many many months. Green fee's should be $25.00 at best for this horrible condition. You been advised!!!

It has been 7 or 8 years since I have played here. All I can say is: what happened? about 13-15 greens were badly diseased. I was very disappointed in the whole course. My son worked there about 8 years ago. It was in a lot better shape.
Hopefully they can save the greens.
But it isn't worth the cost in it's current condition.

Had not played Glen Ivy in about 3 years, so we had the underpar deal 2 for $90 after 12....what a joke, course in bad shape...cannot believe people are driving out from Orange County and paying over $50 to play this course. My only question after 18 holes was is the place going under again?

Out to Glen Ivy yesterday at 10:16. They were running a flash sale where if you showed your vaccine card, you got a $52 rate instead of the rack rate of $79. Sweet!

Out to Glen Ivy yesterday at 10:16. They were running a flash sale where if you showed your vaccine card, you got a $52 rate instead of the rack rate of $79. Sweet!

Driving range is completed and looks great! (I have not been here since our last GK Plays event here a few years back). Greens were top dressed...still some bumps running at 8.5/9. A great layout in terms of different holes with elevation changes. A lot of the water elements have returned and the vista and views were terrific in the back 9. Rough and fairways were above average and sand traps were fluffy with RAKES!! Restaurant was open, but everything is served in togo boxes. Again, Hole #18 did not disappoint although the lush avocado trees right of the fairway are all gone.

Quite a trek from Los Angeles, but nice change of scenery.

Will return in another few years.

Played on a busy Friday afternoon, wait on most holes and a 5 hour round. Greens bumpy and inconsistent on speed. Looks like they still have not healed from last punching. Sand looked good until you tried to hit out of it. Fine white but one rock hard and completely compacted and the next fluffy and soft, much like the greens very inconsistent. Fairways great and rough very lush and penal. The wind and elevation defends this course and the layout is fun to me. Hopefully they can get the greens in better shape and start taking care of the bunkers.

Played 2/16 with a 7:13 tee time and got out right on time. Finished in 4:15 with some waiting on the group ahead of us. Check in is in the shop and quick with masks required. The grill is open for take out and drinks. Range and practice green are both open.
Tee boxes are a little thin but still very playable
Fairways on the front nine show signs of being punched recently and were good to hit from although winter thin with lots of roll out. The back nine must have been punched with 1/2 holes last night or early this morning and you had to deal with all the muddy plugs.
The rough around the greens was long and thick making you work to get out. The bunkers were just reworked last summer and have lots of nice white sand but no rakes so you have to deal with some footprints.
The greens ran at medium speed and held shots well. Very few old ball marks to deal with.
Did not see a drink cart but did have a marshal come by several times.
Overall I always enjoy this track and will be back soon.
