Played 5/26/18 with a 1:08pm tee time with my father. The starter was friendly and let us tee off early at about 12:55. POP was about 5 hours. HOWEVER, it only took us 2.5 hours to play 13 holes. The last 5 holes took 2.5 hours! This was due to the slowest 3 some I have ever seen in my life! They were taking 4-6 practice swings looking at everything from every angle and switching clubs 2-3 times per shot acting like they were pros and then they would still shank the shots! Golf marshall went up to them but nothing was really done which is real frustrating. I know on other courses Marshall will give a warning then make them skip a hole if it doesnt improve and then the third time kick them off. Well, course conditions were great. Tee Boxes in great shape, level and smooth. Fairways green and rolled pretty fair. Rough was a little thick outside of the fairways but thats how it's supposed to be I guess. Greens were great! I was able to read all of them and putted well. Speed was accurate and greens were not bumpy. Sand was good and fluffed. I was in 2 traps and got out 50% of the time on my first shot. Water was clean and not smelly and food service was good and polite. Great round! I love this course! THEY just need to enforce POP on slow play with their marshalls here. Why hire a marshall if he's not going to keep everyone moving?

Played on the 25th, (sorry for the late review). All greens have sand on them. Pro Shop did not inform me as to the conditions of the greens when I ask for Course condition. Pro shop stated that all was great...yea right $#@#^ . If a Course is going to charge full rate I believe that they absolutely MUST inform you of conditions. So, Greens were Sandy, fairways were in fair conditions, plenty of Sand in bunkers (again wish players would rate bunkers after you've be in them) pace of play was good. Want some advice ? if you make a tee time anywhere, "Ask for Course conditions" and they better be honest.

I wish players would rake the bunkers when they are in it and knock the sand of their shoes before walking on the green. Dam that pisses me off.

Tee boxes were fairly level with a divot here and there, the fairways have filled in, and had nice roll out, rough was high with some lumpy areas, bunkers had decent sand which was damp in the early hours and dried up on the back nine.

The greens were lush, receptive to high shots, but did not have much bite. Too many ball marks, had to fix at least 3 on each hole. POP was a decent 3 3/4 hr. Customer service was good, beer was cold, sampler plate was a bargain. Downside - no breakfast until 8am, but snack shop had breakfast sandwiches, eggs ham cheese which were OK.

Played today and the Greens have come back real nice. The Practice putting green still needs a few weeks to heal since they were done last. Tee boxes nice and cut, fairways seem a little disappointed.... Continue »

Played today and the Greens have come back real nice. The Practice putting green still needs a few weeks to heal since they were done last. Tee boxes nice and cut, fairways seem a little disappointed. They (the fairways) are spotted with crabgrass and lumps of" poa ana". So there it is.

Played 3-27 as a single. The wind was blowing and the course was pretty empty. I finished in less than 3 hours. This place is a beast when the wind blows and today was a 2-3 club wind. They had all of the tees moved up to the forward tee boxes on the holes that played into the wind and normal boxes on the ones that played downwind which helped somewhat.
The tee boxes where in good shape especially the forward ones as they get less play.
The fairways had good coverage but have been cut pretty tight so you got good roll out.
Rough was about 3" and not too penal but you had to work to get out.
I was not in any bunkers but they all looked to have good soft sand in them.

The greens had been punched around the first of the month and the front nine was in very good shape and ran fast and true. The back nine was punched a week later and still showed some signs but putted okay. Not quite as quick but not bumpy. They should be fine in another week.
I like this layout and usually enjoy my round here. The only problem today was the wind. Did not see the cart today and the only staff I spoke to was the counter guy who was quick and pleasant.

Played Fri Feb 2nd at 730. Check in quick and easy. POP was 423 was stuck behind a two some that held up our 4 some. This was my first time playing this course and had no clue what to expect. Knew it was in a housing track and expected tight holes with the houses in play, was very surprised at how wide the fairways were and really no houses were ever in play. Course was in good shape tee boxes level, fairways good grass, was not in any bunkers so no comment there, greens were firm and did not hold shots, but still had plenty of ball marks to repair, probably from the day before. The rough was very penal as the ball sat down every time and the rough was not cut the same length, had high spots and low spots. Since this was my first time here I had no clue about the greens and breaks, all of us were reading breaks and the ball didn't break, all of us missed just outside the cup many times, the greens rolled very nice. Many of the holes looked just like the one we finished, over all I liked the course but at $49 I think ther are better values out there for us, and it is 65 minutes away for my OC friends. Another issue is the restaurant does not open until 8am, really, nit good.

Played Sierrra Lakes this morning with a 8:45 tee time. Got out 10 minutes early. Great conditions on the course, good roll out on the drives and enough turf around the greens for chipping. Greens were fast but the same throughout the course. Traps were full of soft but not too heavy sand. Rough was just about right depth so finding balls was no problem. All and all a course that is in very nice early winter conditions.

I've been playing this course for years and the course was recently purchased by new company and since then really stepped up and made course conditions outstanding. Never seen the course so perfect.... Continue »

I've been playing this course for years and the course was recently purchased by new company and since then really stepped up and made course conditions outstanding. Never seen the course so perfect. Only down side is that they raised the rates quite a bit. I guess the money had to be charged to improve the course. Wish they would offer hot deals on golf now.
