The course was having all of the fairways being punched yesterday 5/5/16. It will take weeks before this course would be considered in decent shape to play. THe greens were aerated about 10 days ago and were a mess. Avoid this course !!! We asked what the condition of the course was before we drove up there and they told us the greens were healed and the course was in good shape. Clearly that was not the case!! Further when we checked in 45 minutes before our tee time no warning was given. The fairways and greens are terrible now

Greens: smooth with medium to fast speed. Extremely fast on the downhill putts.

Fairways: starting to green up and fill in, lots less bare spot than a month ago.

Greens: smooth with medium to fast speed. Extremely fast on the downhill putts.

Fairways: starting to green up and fill in, lots less bare spot than a month ago.

Rough: a few bare spots but overall in good condition, around 3" high.

Traps: a mixed bag, some muddy, some firm and a very powdery sand in the greenside traps.

POP: just over 4 1/2 hours, no marshall to keep play moving.

Confirmed that they will be punching the greens April 25th.

teeboxes were lush, almost too furry, but they were level and had good coverage. fairways were ok, they haven't mown anything for a few days so they were a little shaggy. greens just ok as well. didn't hold shot very well at all, maybe it was just me, but didn't hold shots.

overall give the place a few weeks, we had an underpar deal for like $40 each for a Sunday which is just fantastic for this place, it's a tough track so get out there you panzies, lol

The course is is pretty good shape overall. The tee boxes could have used a trim but were very thick and green. Fairways were in good shape with only a few thin spots and some clumps of thick grass here and there. The traps looked to be in great shape but some were very hard and in need of a little sand. The greens were the best thing on the course today - they rolled true and fairly quick, but were very hard and not holding at all. Not sure if they needed work or water? The course is very tight compared with others in the area and can eat you up if you are playing Army Golf. I do recommend a visit at least once to see for yourself! The staff is always friendly and has been around here awhile - nice to see familiar faces. Don't waste your money on the food in the resort bar!!!!

Rough: 2-3" high with lots of bare spots.

Traps: they are working on them so there is some "fluff" to them instead of hard packed.

POP: just over 4 hours.

Good customer service.

Played in the AM, not very busy for a Friday. Course conditions have improved since my last review a month ago.

Greens: excellent condition, smooth, fast and holding.

Fairway: the overseeding has helped eliminate a lot of the bare spots, much improved since last month. Many of the fairways are still cart path only.

Rough: some bare spots but not bad.

POP: just over 4 hours.

Traps: looked OK as I was not in any the round.

Played on FRI, 10/9, STAY AWAY for the next 3-4 weeks. They aerated and sanded the greens and they are not playable, completely covered with sand! Also, they have overseeded many of the fairways so it's cart part only. One of the locals told me the Men's Club has implemented lift, clean and place within one club length in the fairways and fringes of the greens.

Two day event with a traveling club, with the first day here. Nice stay and play package. I'd like to be positive but it is difficult. The resort was packed but the accommodations were "tired" and the golf course conditions were not up to par. The restaurant was good and they had live music on Fri and Sat. The service was excellent.

The conditions were better than I expected considering the prior reviews. The greens were great, if not as quick as the outstanding practice green. There was more rough than I expected. The fairways were spotty though. Way too many bare or near bare lies in the fairway.

I also thought the back nine was a bit tricked up. A lot of blind tee shots. I do not remember if it was 14 or 16, but one person in each of the two groups in front of us hit a tee shot to the left of the par 3 green and had it roll down the path around the corner and end up 20 yards behind the mound behind the tee. You do not often see a 300 yard drive on a 140 yard hole! There was a drop zone in front of the tee (???) no one saw, but it was still ridiculous. Overall, the scores were higher than one would expect considering the slope. That was a testament to the narrowness of the course.

Fairways: continue to deteriorate, 30-40 % of the fairways have very thin lies or no grass at all. I heard they got a new well drilled but it hasn't helped yet. One of the locals mentioned that they plan to overseed the fairways so that should help the problems but that's a few months away.

Rough: same problem as the fairways.

Greens: a little slow and bumpy but "holding" .

Traps: hard packed sand.

POP: 4 hours.
