Played 7-1-15 afternoon on a golnow deal for $27 joining a threesome and playing in a little over 4 hours. Tee boxes, fairways, and rough were all about in the same shape a little thin and summer dry but overall still very playable. Found a couple of greenside bunkers that had firm sand. Greens were rolling medium slow and a little bumpy. Nice semi short course with a fun layout.

Played on Friday, 6/12 in the AM under cloudy sky all day. Greens: smooth, "holding" and medium speed except for #10 and 15 if you are above the hole. Fairways: lush with a few thin spots. Rough: 1-3" with some bare/thin spots. Traps: the worst part of the course, hard packed sand but I did see some maintenance guys working the traps on the back nine. POP: right at 4 hours. Good customer service. Decent food at the bar but if you want a treat, try Nessy Burgers, south of Pala Resort at the 15 and 76 intersection, a real dive with great burgers. Also a good BBQ place at the same shopping area. Overall, the course is in better the average condition considering the drought we are in.

The stay and play at Pala Mesa is a great deal 2 days of unlimited golf and a nice room for 150.00. I went with divotnjay group we all had a great time. We will be back again for the stay and play.

Played May 2 and 3. Had a blast as usual on the stay and play, unlimited, but had too many people and things to do. Went to watch the fight at a friends house in Murrieta on Sat night and just didn't have the energy to play more on Sunday. Great room accommodations for sure. Course is in overall good shape, they punched the greens on Monday, they were nice enough to tell me what I already knew, thanks to GKer, but we had 8 of us, some from outta state for my bachelor party and that was where everyone wanted to stay and play, so oh well we booked it a couple of months ago and were committed. Still can't beat the deal for $150 a player for 2 days of unlimited golf and a room over the weekend. Fairways were very nice, teeboxes were decent, greens were very sandy and bumpy, traps were wet but playable kinda soft underneath, rough was fair. Overall, when the greens heal in a few more weeks it will be awesome as usual. Get out there and stay, great brunch on Sunday as well.

First group off and finished in four hours. Tee boxes shortened up more than usual - many were beat up from previous hackers. The fairways were in pretty good shape if you were in them. The greens were rolling very quick - even though we were the first group on them this morning! The traps were wet from the recent rains - and very difficult to hit from if you found them (I found ten)!! Many people say that they find this course to be narrow. There are quite a few trees around/on the course - but I don't find them in play very often. The staff is always polite and helpful (the one course where most are older than me). I enjoy this place every time here and recommend it to all!

Played Sunday morning with wife and GK'ers Willie, Donna, John and Kristie in our 1st battle of the sexes. What a blast we had, the course is in fantastic shape. We went out as 3somes in b2b tee times and had an enjoyable pace all day. Tee boxes were in good shape though some pretty dry, Fairways were great, rough was a little inconsistent with some areas tall and thick and others cut quiet a bit lower.....if you missed the FW it was just luck of the draw how your next shot would be. Bunkers seemed okay, a little thin perhaps...but totally playable. Now for the greens...condition-wise, they were above average....but holy cow were they tricky and challenging....most didn't hold shots that well, and the speed and slickness just made for quite the challenge all day.

all in all, it was a great day. Enjoyed an early breakfast at the resort and then drinks and a late lunch afterwards.

BTW - Snakes are out!!! the ladies saw 2 Rattlers in "love" off the tee box on 17th.....

Played here on Friday, 2/27 in the AM. This review is a confirmation of my Jan 17th review. The course continues to improve since my last review. Greens: smooth, holding and lighting fast. They had cut and rolled them and it was ridiculous if you were above the hole. #15 (pin was in the lower right) was almost unplayable! Fairways: continue to improve, less "thin" lies. Rough: filling in and becoming more punishing, 3" high. Sand traps: lots of sand. POP: just over 4 hours. Friendly starter and good cart service out on the course. Good food in the restaurant.

Played here at 8 AM on 1/16 for the first time this year and the course is improving nicely. Greens: soft, smooth and in good condition. A word of warning: STAY BELOW THE HOLE! The greens are very fast especially on down hill putts, almost a guaranteed 3 putt if you are above the hole. Fairways: improved, more good lies than thin. Rough: 1-3" high, not very punishing. Traps: excellent, plenty of sand. Customer service: friendly starter and the marshall came by twice on each nine to keep play moving. POP: 4 hours.

Played Sunday November 23rd 2014, greens were extremely fast even at 730 am when we teed off with the course being a bit damp from the morning dew. If you play Sunday do not expect the course maintenance crew to be out in front of you, they apparently get Sundays off. The fairways were slightly over grown though did not affect play. Great staff friendly and attentive. POP was awesome at 3 1/2 hours for 18 holes. Challenging course drives need to be accurate. Overall, I was pleased to play this course again.
