Played Mon 4/23, 7am. Nobody there. well, I got there at 6:30, and there were a bunch of maintenence dudes, a marshall, and a cart dude, but no one to open the proshop and check us in. Eventually, the marshall said just play, and since I prepaid, no big deal. Literally noone there. well, a 2some showed up as i was warming up (shagged 20 range balls from the range, since nobody was there), they teed off. Caught them on 8 (took my sweet time). passed them up. Course is really nice. I like it alot. The back is prettier than the front, and more challenging. Played from the tips at 6500 yds. Greens were hard and med/fast speed. I would play there all the time if I lived there. Played in 2 1/2 hrs, very leisurely, with a cart, by myself.

W.V is back to great shape,, greens are med fast and fairways are green and the rough is growing long. Fun layout. Another good day at Woods Valley.

Great course. Plush fairways. Breath of fresh air from the OC courses. First course i've played in a while that is still not affected from the cold frosty weather weeks back

Good course in vvalley center 38 mi.from downtown San Diego. Greens are exceptional and fast. Front nine open can spray it around some. Back nine tight and tougher,through the trees.Very good price $3... Continue »

Good course in vvalley center 38 mi.from downtown San Diego. Greens are exceptional and fast. Front nine open can spray it around some. Back nine tight and tougher,through the trees.Very good price $30.00 during the week with cart. No club house but good tavern down the road.Avg.Time of play is about 4 hrs.

A welcome sight when we arrived, green fairways and clear skys. Woods Valley is almost back to great condition. We had a 7;30 tee time today, no one in front and a couple of walkers behind, never to be seen again, great day, a little mushy due to Mondays rain. We love the place, fun,tricky, sometimes driver, sometimes not, but you need all your game to take advantage. Greens are very good,another month and the place will be almost perfect. Good to play right now. Staff as usual was very good to us. Stay at Harrahs, senior rate $35, great way to spend a couple of days.

Once there, I noticed only ONE guy in the pro shop helping everybody. He was stressed to say the least, and I couldnt believe no one was around to assist him, considering it was Saturday and beautiful outside. We were a twosome, and he had trouble splitting the fees, dog's and drink correctly. There were no buns for the dog's. We had to wait for him to go get some AFTER he alone helped desk customers. I guess they also use the honor system on purchasing dog's because a young foursome came in and helped themselves while we were waiting. When we finally got to the first tee, we got pushed back because of the food fiasco. No names were called as to who was up first or given in the pro shop. The front nine was a dissapointment. The greens were hard and fast, but, MANY ballmarks.... I dont think anyone cares about fixing ballmarks here, the players or marshall's. I must say the back nine was in very good shape, as it is more protected from the elements compared to the very exposed front nine. The foursome that was ahead of us bullied there way past a teen twosome that were walking, so we teamed up. Everything was stacked up so I didnt understand that mentality. Overall a mixed bag of good n bad and thus I wont be back for awhile, I'll spend my $ over at Castke Creek for local
golf.

Played on 2/6/07, I was surprised how good the course conditions where after reading some of the feedback a few months back. The greens rolled very nice and fairways are in goold condition. The front nine isn't anything special but I really love the back nine, very pretty. Overall a very fun course will be back soon.

Good course, slow players delays, no marshal on course or starter, mess at firts tee, in december there's a frost delay, but worth the price
