Played this course on Nov. 10 and Nov. 13th. Rain and windy on the 10th, but course was very good, although wet in many spots. On Sunday it was $40 incl. cart We liked the course, so we thought we would go back. It was nice hot day, green fees were $30 incl. cart! This course is a very good track, the greens were in great shape, in fact the whole course is. There are some wet spots, however I think it is a marshy area anyway so will likely be so in spots all the time, however it isn't a problem! An earlier reviewer said big hitters keep the driver in the bag, I disagree, HOWEVER you must be very accurate on SOME holes or not use the driver. Certainly there are some holes you don't need to use it but can. It is a risk reward course. Staff were friendly, service was very good. On Thursday we teed off at 1045, our time was 1126 but the course was virtually empty, although it was busier around 1145 and on, but we finished in 3 and a half hours. I couldn't believe how quiet the course is, it is a real good course, and a GREAT value. I will certainly play it again when in the area.

Havent been here for awhile,, good news, Woods Valley is back in great shape. Greens are terrific, bunkers are filled with WHITE sand, they look terrific, fairways are almost in perfect shape. All the work is paying off. Still a tight test, still a tough driving course, but FUN. If you are in the area, I would for sure recommend teeing it up here. Staff as usual was terrific,, will return soon.

This course has just completed it's maintenance and is getting back into really nice condition. The front side requires a decent drive and some accuracy. The back side is more about accuracy. Overall, it has something for everyone and because it is somewhat off the beaten path, the playing times, especially on weekdays, mostly depend on you. Not a lot of play means country club like conditions, no one to push you and no one to slow you down. For the money, this is a great course.

Played 14Sep08, 0646 tee time. Lots of fog, had to go up the fairway to give points of reference, but with plenty of yardage markers, shots were not hard to judge. Front nine was in very good shape, greens and fairway conditions worsened on the back with bare, dead spots on several greens. Sand was inconsistent throughout, from almost snow-like, fluffy sand to hard packed dirt. Playing here takes a lot of course management to stay out of trouble. Long hitter can leave their drivers in the bag except on the par 5s. Every hole had some challenge to it making it a very enjoyable round and easy to over look the bad spots. Plus, there is a nice BBQ joint about a mile or two down the road for an enjoyable lunch afterward.

Played 8-16-08 on a warm sunny afternoon. Greens were in good shape except for the ball marks left by the tournament players just in front of us. Fairways were generally good and the sand was immaculate. Customer service was terrific. Pace of play was very good. I love the layout and this course will definitely test your shot-making skills. Recommended.

Played Woods Valley on the 4th of July for the first time. It wasn't that busy at all surprisingly. But the round for our two groups were just under 4 hours in leasure.

Played Woods Valley on the 4th of July for the first time. It wasn't that busy at all surprisingly. But the round for our two groups were just under 4 hours in leasure.

The course are being cared for tremendously by these new owners. I can see some patches of sods on some fairways and they are in great playing conditions. The greens are very smooth but only stimped about 9 maybe. The "new black tees" on the tips are immaculate and not mickey moused in its new location (further back).

The lay out on this course is great and so much fun to play with its two great sides of nines.

Customer service is at a professional level... everyone aimed to please.

This is a course to play and have a great time. Definitely coming back to this place.

I played here when they first opened and thought they opened it too early because it was in poor condition. Came back a year later and it was still crappy. Played here yesterday 6-15-08 and the place looked like a cow pasture and I'm not joking. A great layout but the conditions are pitifull. I wouldn't recommend this course to my worse enemy.

Played this course on May 22, 2008 at 12:00 PM. There were very few people out here since the weather was pretty ominous. The round took us about 3.5 hours to complete. This course could be such a winner if they can fix the maintenance issues. The fairways and rough has always had an issue in the Summer with heat, and they have been trying to reseed with Bermuda to be more drought resistant. The course is nowhere close to being ready for some of the rates I see them asking for! Most fariways were extremely tight lies, with no grass in many areas. Some tee boxes are not level, and have several divot holes. Fortunately the staff is very professional and courteous. If you want to be dissapointed on your next round of golf, play Woods Valley. Otherwise, give them a few months (at least until their next overseeding season in the Fall). Summer will not be kind to this course since the Bermuda grass has not filled in entirely. Good Luck!
