Played Wed and Thursday,both in early AM,as with most courses this time of year and with the heat,things are a little beat up. Woods Valley is doing more than most to keep things up to par. Greens are pock marked,but,they are smooth and putt very well,they are soft and receive shots well.Fairways in the AM were a little wet, but thats OK as they are alive and all ya gotta do is move a few feet and find a dry place. I love the layout,not too hard but a lot of fun. Staff is great,if your in the area its a nice way to spend the day. One thing that we noticed, they have a lot of workers on the course,I mean a lot. Some courses are in trouble and ya cant find any workers. That idiot that is following us around was in front of us again,spitting sunflower seeds all over the greens.If anyone sees him,beat the crap outa him for us. Good track...

Played early in the morning and didn't see any other groups until hole 15. Very wet!!! The grounds crew needs to learn how to blend in and not become intrusive. I had a crew member drive up from behind and pass me in the fairway while I was addressing the ball, he never even slowed down. Another crew member waited for my partner to tee off and then started his bucket loader as I was teeing the ball. Get a clue grounds staff, I understand you have a job to do but you will not have that job if you alienate the paying customers.

This course is truely a hidden gem. everyone needs to play it at least once. The facilities have been updated from opening, yes they finally have a functional pro-shop. On top of that, the new management has the current staff wearing golf attire and being polite to customers. The greenskeeper seems to have everything under control and outside of the construction from cart path installation the course is in Awesome shape. Gotta play it

Played Woods Valley Saturday, June 10th, with a tournament group from Kyocera. I can't speak for everyone, but I was impressed with the way the course personnel handled the event. KUDOS to the crew at Woods Valley!

The course itself was in great condition. From tee to green, the place is well manicured and well taken care of. This is a tight course, with a premium placed on shot making over length. Thoughtful players with a variety of clubs and shots should LOVE this place. Long hitters....maybe not so much. Watched the long drive champ search for golf balls all day! Once again, Woods Valley has proven to be a fun, professionally managed, and wonderfully staffed facility. Now, if they could only land a liquor license!!

Played here from the Blues (6100 yards) on Sunday 5/24. Things got off to a bad start. After calling twice earlier in the week to confirm the tee times for our 3 foursomes, we were shocked to arrive at 7:00 on Sunday morning to be told that they didn't have any of our 3 groups on the tee time.

In spite of the bad start the frazzled starter did a great job. He sent us out on the back and staggered some of the later starts off off the front and things worked out great. We came around on 18 and he was able to work us right back in on number 1. We didn't miss a beat. So kudos to great service in spite of the initial screw up.

As for the track, it was in great shape. It had some of the best looking fairways I've seen for a course in this price range. We paid $65 on a holiday Sunday. The only exception to the fairways was number 17 which seemed a little dry. The greens were in great shape - not too fast and not too slow. They were reasonably receptive. Best of all they were mowed that morning and they rolled very true (28 putts for me that day). You do have to be careful with your driver, but from the blues it's not so long as to require driver.

Keep the driver in the bag! It's not even needed on the par 5's. Beautiful but narrow course. A great track for a bag with a bunch of hybrid clubs. Limited development on the course. A real barga... Continue »

Played Tuesday,8am, agree with all the below,, wish I lived closer,, Had a room at Harrahs, 10 minutes away. Great fun, great course. Staff is on top of things.
