Got out today at 11:10 as a twosome plus one and finished around 3:50. Course was wide open ahead of us with the skins outing following us. Interesting weather pattern started out fairly calm with some sudden gusts, escalating into a steadier breeze with occasional gusts. It was a factor most of the round. By the time we got to the 11 and 13th, we were hitting into a significant headwind. Wind aside, it was gorgeous and cloudless. I thought the course was in excellent shape. The greens were clean, very quick, and the tricky slopes played havoc with the three of us throughout the round. Tee boxes were all well covered and either flat or not significantly far off. Fairways were tight with good coverage—nicely playable with good rollout. Didn't visit any bunkers but did play out of some waste areas with mixed success—from taking an unplayable to hitting onto the green to save par. Rough is wild and varies. We got a little beat up today on the scorecard and even by the wind at times, but it was a fun round on a scenic, challenging course on a warm, cloudless day. The breeze made an 85º day feel like a mid 70s. I have to find an excuse to get back and get some revenge. Good times.
